Finally some proper electrical stuff where you can learn something ….. thanks
Thank you we do try
Great video Mayday Electrical Solutions Ltd. Looking forward to future content !
Thank you Gary,it’s hard work UA-cam but worth while with your support
Love your videos dude, you're a top man for sharing your knowledge! Down to earth geezer and very informative. Thank you.
Comments like this make it all
Worthwhile
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 Keep doing what you are doing. Although I can feel it is challenging, your are on the right path. Love how you included the moment where you realised you put the wrong colour heat shrink sleeving on. Proper keeping it real!
Agree with you.
Nice one Chris👍 Great tutorial as usual.
Another thing, In the United States ,The 2020 NEC code requires Surge Protection on panels in new installations, not saying every country should do that, just recommended. Good work again.
Interesting and in the states you use allot of of arc fault detection devices right?
Yes, in all dwelling areas and ground fault in unfinished basements and garages, bathrooms, and kitchens, and also outside conditions. I'm a maintenance electrician since 1994, and have an associates degree in construction technology.
Not used the Hager H3 board yet but have seen one in our warehouse for installation in the coming weeks. They look nice. Loving the gland plates on the sides.
As a domestic spark,i would love to get into this industrial game. Great video. 👍
It’s allot easier on the body as you’re not ending down all day
Nice work fellas
Great watch, keep them coming!
Very Informative Mayday. You are something else when it comes to electrics! 👌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks Luke we value the support as it’s harder graft doing the UA-cam than the electrics
Pretty sweet deal, Good job.
Keep this channel going mate, huge potential.
Thank you new video coming soon link below trailer share your thoughts

Beautiful work there bud
Thank you kindly
Great video pal
Thank you and value the support
Paxolin is basically a paper sandwich with phenolic resin! Circuit boards are still made of a similar material (solid resin bonded paper).
Couldn’t put it better myself
Nice install 👌
Nice one.... vive la difference
When drilling the holes in the trunking for your bend, place a block of wood inside the trunking to prevent unwanted bending of the trunking. It also prevents the drill slipping and scratching your brand new trunking. 👍
Will do Mike thanks for the heads up
Hi, at what point would you not have just a standard 3 phase cut out but go to having an MCCB panel fed from a big cut out?
So the client needed a 250a supply, allot of older cut outs only go to 100a, the mcb panel was required to feed larger equipment as standard boards usually only go up to 60a
why did you install that main switch, the main switch in the mccb board can be used as main switch for installation , we do many a large commerical and just the mccb main switch is sufficent and saves the cost of the switchfuse on the job , and on our recent upgrade of 250 A ukpn only want 95mm just my opinion , still a good video
Hello Paul good question, UKPN spec sheet for us stated 150mm tails, 150mm lugs would not fit the mccb and also bending the 150s I wanted to avoid and UKPN don’t allow tri rated cabling in the head. But good point I just also prefer being able to isolate our installation without touching the head
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 Fair play , still good content as usual, can i ask if you have installed a tesla EVC a GEN3 and does it have PEN fault protection built in thanks
4:00 How about using a holepuncher?
Can't watch the video due to the audio.
Getting a huge headache. :/
Earphones are a problem apologies
Blue tri-rated cable is readlily available , why use brown sleeved blue ?
Good question, suppliers had run out of pretty much everything at the time
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 try Cleveland cables or superlec direct , next day delivery on most cables
Could I ask what that little fold up chair you had, what is it called?
Sure just don’t stand on it and you’ll be fine - www.amazon.co.uk/Telescopic-Adjustable-Camping-Stool-Lightweight-Camp-Seat/dp/B08Z2Y1B3X/ref=asc_df_B08Z2Y1B3X/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=500779883685&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7540168400616562471&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045985&hvtargid=pla-1318213961277&psc=1
Quick question do you need to install the board plate back on?
No not required as the wall
Behind was the same building, it’s usually required if it was a joining wall, but good point
Please create more content!
Thank you for the support and more coming soon
Do you not use the clamps that are under the pop out table for the trunking
They are Indeed
How much would you charge roughly for these works?
About 9k
Hello mate, is the spd a hager one?
Correct it comes as a kit although the actual SPD part is not Hager
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 cheers bud👍
Hi
Can i ask why could you not use the more flexible cable on both ends off the mains isolator instead of the 150 solid?
Good question, UKPN forbid tri rated cabling inside their heads for some reason
Thanks 😊
It's the fine strands.@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601
Really struggled watching with headphones on, as your voice only comes out of the left speaker.
Guessing your microphone only records a mono track and you need to split it into stereo with your editing software.
I'll come back and watch later without the headphones, looks like a good video otherwise
Thanks Matt.. rode wireless mics have this frustrating setting which il have to check on the next video
@@maydayelectricalsolutionsl7601 watched on my laptop in the end so I could combine the audio on my end. Great video, always enjoy the more industrial jobs 👍
