@xray606 Well the multifuction part. You can run one with just the blade lift and steering (which is already the hand dance) but then turning around on the fly you have to shift, lift both sides of the blade, steer hard (say left), articulate left, wheel tilt left, roll the blade back for height clearance, rotate the circle on top of sideshifting both the blade and saddle over. 4 levers on the left hand, 4 on the right hand, a steering wheel, manual transmission all at once to turn around!
Great video! Ive been on scrapers for years, and it is now time to step up and get on the grader. Time to tell the compactor where he should really be. On the rocks!
Great vid!! Graders are certainly not a machine you hop on and run smoothly right away. I played around on a friend of mines once and it take some getting used to, but there a tons of fun!!
when u put the center pin all the way out and circle and blade to the right u can turn the blade in reverse to grade backwards instead of back dragging
crutler no it’s a detent position above blade lower function. If you push hard towards the front you will feel it pop in. If you are in a G series grader it most likely does not have this function.
Most experienced operators find it just as easy to steer using the wheel lean lever to make minor direction changes while blading...no third hand needed. Works for me.

Its a fun machine, when you start to learn how to use it.
@Mr2000f150 its something a previous owner has added for an accessory, maybe a beacon or work lights.
Awesome video man! Their gonna throw me on the grader tomorrow and I wanted to try and be ahead of the game, get it down a little faster!!

i got to ask what is the togel switch for on top of the steering console mine dont have it?
good vid pard 140 is a dam good blade!
now they have just TWO joysticks instead of Eleven individual levers. waaaaaaaaaay easier to learn on!
@stevendonovan1987 Haha so true. Or get very good at the "bump, steer, lift, steer" dance.
Interesting... What would you say is the most difficult machine to get good at, in terms of complexity and just basically learning how to use it?
Graders
excellent quick overview
Could you show hod to do some shifting when your driveing the motor grader.
How do you take it off parked ?
oh k thanks for the reply good job a explaning the controles man
Blade float: is there a switch or a button for it? Do not have the operation manual.

@@vantagetes g series has to buttons. One for each blade cylinder
Good
Super
you forgot to mention the third hand you'll need to steer the thing when you operating al those hydraulics at the same time!

Its a dance you learn after a while. Youll be after a while , really quick on the steeringwheel while operating the levers.
Its the inching pedal not a clutch
i always wondered why the frount wheels tilted
To minimize the turning radius. And,when you grade slopes or clean up ditches along a road, you just use the wheel tilt to adjust in and out
Check out CONSTRUCTION KNAWLEDGE
