Hiked to Fortymile many times in the early 1970's. I was a surveyor for Cassiar at the mine in Clinton Creek. Your video was like time travel.
Thanks Bob, lots of mining still going on in the Dawson area. 40 mile is a special spot. Please subscribe as I release new videos every Friday. Thanks for watching!
Nice day for walking my friend, great video!
Thanks Nature Walks! I appreciate you checking out the channel.
Thanks for taking me along on the hike. I was with you step for step. In reality -- maybe, just maybe before I die.
We have visited 3x: 2007, 08, and 2019. Big changes to buildings and riverside. Hope to get back in 2023. Txs for the video.

Enjoying the hike! Familiar country to me. I lived on the mosquito fork of the fortymile river, 14 miles west of Chicken AK.by trail. Lived there on Old Man creek for over 20 years, built a few cabins, raised a big family with my wife, trap, fish hunt, made birch bark baskets, ate a lot of cranberries, cut a lot of firewood, met some old timers, dug for gold, and loved every minute.thanks for sharing the hike!
Awesome Thomas! Its beautiful country up in the north. I love spending time in Dawson City and the surrounding area. Been coming up here for 9 years now. Please subscribe if you haven't already. Thanks for watching.
