I am not familiar with the franchise or its characters, but it is always fun to see something new! The figures look positively lovely! I agree that the price is a tad high. Even though we do get two figures with an elaborate diorama base, the MSRP is charging us the price of two full scales. As always, thank you for the detailed breakdown and the extra info not often featured on other channels. I appreciate you going through the assembly process in your reviews. It helps other collectors know what to expect and watch out for when setting up the more complicated figures. It is also nice to have the pricing info at the time the video is created, for both prospective buyers and future reference. :)
@@sasamiadachi I need to read more of the comics and still ways the anime. 😂 The comics are all done in color which is always nice to see. But I definitely with the price would be cheaper. Like having the figure is great, but seeing it doesn’t feel like it’s worth what I paid. 21:00 This part was very annoying for me, because I just couldn't see if the pegs were aligned with the slots, and his hand kept getting caught in the strings during the process. I ended up just sliding the guqin back and forth across his lap until it found the pegs by itself, and I made sure to keep my fingers pressed down on the strings so that his hand couldn't get under them again. 23:55 The bunnies were a gift from Wei Wu Xian to Lan Wang Ji. The bunnies are often used to represent the two main characters, as one bunny is very calm, while the other is playful. "Rabbit" was also a slang term for homosexual people throughout Chinese history. Once a month I would actually turn the figure around so that I could display the cute bunnies. I just love them so much. This is also my favourite figure!! I love bases with natural elements like the rippling effects of the water, the moon in the reflection, the cave in the back, and of course the beautiful magnolia tree. It's like the whole figure is one with nature. I wasn't expecting the hair ribbon to be that complicated, but it was complicated in a good way and was very fun to assemble! I think I was also really lucky because my Wei Wu Xian didn't have any issues with his flute, and I don't see any scuffing on mine, thankfully.
@@IllusionQueen4Eva Yeah it’s definitely tricky with the guqin. It’s definitely the most tricky part of the assembly with getting a feel for revere the pegs are. And then if you mess it up with the hand placement you have to make sure you don’t break any strings. And thank you for the lore and your thoughts on the figure! ☺️ I haven’t gotten too far into the series. Ive just read the first two volumes of the comic adaptation. And that’s a neat idea with turning the figure around every once in a while! I feel like thats a cool touch that figures rarely have. The whole composition this figure is stunning and I agree that the natural elements are very well done. And I’m glad you got a very nice copy! ✨ I wish mine didn’t have the scuff on Lan Wangji’s hair. 😭
@@SakuraUnboxing Yeah it's such a cool touch, having something like that hidden behind a figure. It was one of the reasons why I felt like I had to get it. It was just too neat. And yeah, it's a shame about the scuff. With how expensive it is, it should have been packed better.
