Its January 6, 2022 and for some reason, one of these videos popped up in my UA-cam channel suggestions.....Every once in a while, UA-cam actually gets something right! And now, I'm starting at the beginning and watching my way forward. Miss Waldner, your sparkling personality brings smiles to a lot of faces! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
I would love to see a video where you break down what it is to be Hutterite, whether you were born into the colony or joined , how the colony operates etc. I looked back through previous videos but didn’t see anything
Please forgive me if this comes across as intrusive, but I am curious about your tattoo. I just assumed that would be frowned upon, and if someone got one, they would have to keep it covered up.
Oh, Giselle, you are adorable! I just stumbled upon your channel and I'm already a fan. I've been interested in Anabaptist communities for years, and it's so cool to see some of you appearing on social media now, telling us about your way of life. I actually understood/guessed some of the German things you said. So fun! The language you speak is derived from an Austrian dialect, right?
Hello, I found your channel last night. I thought to check you out today. I'm enjoying what I have seen so far. I'm sure I will love it. I enjoy discovering new things about people and no way better than to hear from them. So, thank you for sharing your way of living.
I feel so envious that you were born into your community and I wasn’t, your life seems so uncomplicated compared to mine, I’m struggling with work and bills etc and having to make decisions that I don’t want to make, your life requires more commitment maybe than mine does but I’d swap in a heartbeat
Just recently found your channel. It’s nice to see that your able to share your life with the outside world. Growing up in southern Alberta I’ve always seen Hutterites out and about in the community but, never really had a opportunity to learn about their lives on the colony.
Years ago (like 30ish) my mom bought me a crochet rug from the Hutterites. I still have that rug! It is just as beautiful as the day I got it. I have always wanted to learn how to do it, maybe this winter I will give it a go.
yes there is a pattern I will put it into a video so I can explain how it works as for yarn we use a mixture you can't just use one kind I'll find out and let you know.
Hello! I wanted to say thank you for making and sharing your videos. I enjoy them very much and bring calm and focus in my life. I also would like to ask, what size hook and yarn type do you use for the rugs and is there a pattern or a video you could share? I would love to try to make one. I have not crocheted in along time (once I think since my mom's passing almost 5 years ago). Thank you again for sharing your life and many blessings to you, your family, and community. Much love from Missouri, USA.
Just when I wanted to ask about those beautiful rugs, there you appear working on one. You seem to be crocheting, using thick yarn and a large hook. I'd love to see the pattern. Love your light hearted chatter, and playful ways.
Love the crochet rug. I taught myself to crochet from a book from the library many years ago. I think I would like to make a rug like that, What is is made from, does your community have sheep?
Watching Giselle’s video backwards from end to beginning when she started posting. Spoiler alert...She does live in the that beautiful ‘backyard’ with her Kona as much time as she can. Such a treat to see how protective Kona was toward Giselle even when he was a puppy.
So I have a question. How many of your colony actually had Covid? Do some of your community work outside the community? How would you all contract Covid if you don’t leave the colony.
I have the new morning mercies by Paul David Tripp, I really enjoy it I feel it doesn't sugar coat things and often speaks to the heart. my mom reads Grace for the moment by Max Lucado and she really enjoys it. those are really the only two that I have experience with.
I am so excited about this channel! Which colony does Giselle post from? I grew up south of Newton, Manitoba and very close to Sunnyside Colony and we'd go every year for some annual celebration (I can't recall what the annual event was for though, sorry).
@@gisellewaldner9406 Rare indeed. We have nothing good and wholesome anymore. I wish the Father would have Raised me up in such a community. But I'm Richly Blessed of Father in Christ Jesus either way. I have been given very great sight and hearing in these last day's. Obadiah will soon be fulfilled and The Beast and Babylon and its Antichrist will soon be destroyed. And for knowing the truth I'm Soooo! Blessed. Praise our Holy Heavenly Father in The Christ Jesus Name.
Hello Giselle. Been watching your videos for a few years. I've gone back to your first video because why not 😊❤ Also, is that Kona as a puppy?? Oh my goodness!!! Adorable.
Lovely vid, I know this is a year ago, but just wanted to say it's not wish FOR thinking, it's wishFUL thinking....love ya! ❤ Also I LOVE your rug. Is there a pattern you use? The thickness of the yarn and the size crochet hook you used??
I just discovered your channel today! It is very interesting getting a peak into your life. Your puppy is adorable! What do you have a tattoo of on your wrist?
Thankyou and welcome to the channel 😊......i will be talking about tattoos in a later video as its easier for me and also there is a bit of explaining to do 😊
Hutterites seem a lot lot more advanced compared to Amish, as you are allowed to use modern technology, machinary and many more equipments. You people are lucky.
Hi .. I'm a new subscriber from Kuwait 🇰🇼 It's so hard to find a Hutterite people in internet.. so it's a happy day because I find you .. I'm a traveler and filmmaker.. 👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹🌹
I’m kinda hopping around when watching your vlogs ( not in order), and I’m wondering how you feed the group when you can’t meet in the dining area because of Covid. You’re still cooking, I see, so do families come to pick up their meals and eat at home, in isolation. (Not a bad thing if you’re with family)
Dumplings: 1 cup butter 1 cup eggs 1 cup egg yolks 3 cups flour Pinch of baking powder Cream butter until fluffy. Blend in eggs and yolks. Blend in flour and b.powder mix only till blended don't over mix drop by spoonfuls into boiling soup. Cook; gently for 20 minutes. Do not peek for the first 10 minutes.
I wouldn't think the colony would apply to the demands of lock down. No socializing, no worshiping together No eating together, no working together.. that would be very hard.
We do everything in groups with no more then the minimum of people allowed...but, now that it has been lifted to 25 we do that..... its a huge place so we are easily able to spread out and keep a safe distance.
Psalm 9:16-20 (KJV) The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
