Gisele, thank you for your beautiful vlogs. Please let your colony know how much we appreciate them, allowing us to see what happens. Also, the singing at the end, WOW!!!! You have no idea how much the music soothes a weary soul. Be blessed to you, your family and your colony.
oh this is wonderful, one thing that helps me if I ever don't feel like doing it is thinking of relaxing in a clean house after I am done, that is wonderful feeling. ❤
I am 63 and don’t hate cleaning I am sick of it and have bad arthritis in my hands from too much plus 3 kids no drier. I hung laundry for 38 years and just got my first drier because I can’t open clothes pins.
Oh the singing is such a balm for the soul and darling Kona waiting so patiently for you to finish cleaning and then walking with you in the end.❤. You work so hard all day every day.
Another beautiful video ! Thank you for sharing !! The choir at the end fills my heart with joy . Also ; I have heard ‘ Blessed Assurance ‘ in one of your videos before & it has me singing that beautiful old hymn again !!😊
Yes, this is real life! We can make plans, work on ironing things out, in vlogging and other things like writing or planning a talk we want to focus ... and then, as the saying goes, "Life happens." I like this post and really enjoyed being invited into your life "all over the place."
Thank you for taking time to make your videos. I appreciate the view into your life. You have touched upon maternity leave etc. earlier but I'm wondering about how do you share the tasks associated with raising children? Both the practical cleaning, laundry etc., but also the 'looking after', sick days and so forth.
Someone else I follow gave the advice of taking a photo of something that you find interesting, or catches your eye, everyday and you'll always have a resource for content. I hope that helps with your winter vlog planning.
Lovely vlog once again Giselle, you are always an inspiration to me. Was there an issue with subtitles on this vlog? The check box was in top right hand of screen but no subs came up. It is more than likely a problem on my side. Love to you from Scotland x🤗
@ no bother, I wasn’t sure if the issue was with me or not, I just listened extra hard for this vlog 🤗. That’s no hardship though as you have a lovely accent. Love and light 🤗💕
Giselle, thank you for another wonderful and amazing vlog. Love the count down. You take so much pride in your house, everything looks beautiful. Even in most unpleasant tasks you find the good in everything. You do everything with bright heart and a lovely smile. You are always there to help out. The wedding looks stunning. Love the singing. See you next time.
Great vlog. It is an accurate depiction of your week. Obviously, you do many different things and being in a group means you don’t have control of the schedule. Thanks for working so hard on the vlog.
I agree with others that your gracious attitude towards cleaning is inspiring. It’s a call for all of us to do all things, including cleaning, to the glory of G-d.❤❤ Have a blessed week! TeresaSue
Now that is just the two of us at home it doesn't get as messy. And it's so much easier to keep the house clean. I used to be so hard on my self about cleaning. Now at 70 not so much. Have a wonderful week.
This looks like a very fun kind of life. Lots of work, but you seem joyful and that's what matters! I started my first sourdough starter a couple of weeks ago and am excited to bake with it! Thankyou for the motivation to keep on with the day to day!
I love these vlogs, I think they really show how chaotic and fun life really is! ❤❤ They always make sense, and seem to show more realistic life, and especially if it makes it easier for you! Have a lovely week! ❤😂😂
I need to fly Giselle to Hawaii to teach me how to clean like she does ! Growing up my mother ( 6 kids ) always had hired help. One lady was " Susie " from Tonga who my mom said only cleaned from eye level down.... Still not sure what the problem was there 😃 I also was not allowed into the kitchen so never learned to cook. My ex-husband didn't appreciate that much..... And I still take my clothes to the local tailor who charges me $ 7.00 ( US dollars ) to sew a button back on. I seriously can't do it. Needless to say I love this channel soo much ! A few videos back she asked about winter.... I have never seen snow - so my winter questions would be why they don't seem to have fire places and if their homes are duplexes. I can't quite figure that out. The buildings look huge. I also wonder what other people have pets on the colony and who those pets are.
Gisèle, your way of living, your responsabilities remember us, the real priorities in life...Work, values, and a strong link for the community and the family...A big kiss for your lovely dog 😊❤😊

Giselle, I hope all is well! I remember in past vlogs when water used to run under that small bridge that you and Kona would cross on your daily walks! It’s amazing to see how far you have come in your photography and filming! We can’t wait to see the next one!
What a great video of your week! You are so busy but yet you seem to get everything done with a smile on your face! Thank you for sharing your life with us!❤
I hear you on the editing, it usually takes me 8-10 hours to edit & upload one video. I enjoy your vlogs, thank you for all your hard work, but don't forget to take time for rest ❤
You seem to mow the lawn with a Mountfield a brand of UK origin. I use those mowers but there now owned by Stiga from Sweden. You grandmother was using three double ended needles to knit in the round, looks like she was making socks in a multi-coloured yarn. Had some interesting yarns in her stash. You should learn from her and buy some wool from me at Greenhill Woolen Crafts. Interesting vlog thanks for posting.👍
My daily life is similar. I have been told I am very obsessive compulsive about my home. A friend says you could eat off my floors but I will pass. Lol. I just pressure washed the exterior of my home, I do it on average three times a year as far as a deep clean from the gutters down. I clean my windows weekly. I deep clean every two weeks, washing baseboards and walls. Dusting, washing rugs, deep cleaning bathrooms, etc once a week but I wash my bedding every two days and I sweep and hot mop my floors every two days. I just feel better and have pride in my home with it being clean. My dad's sister lived with my family and my mother worked a full time job. My aunt was always cleaning, she starched and iron the sheets and pillowcases. She always used bleach when she was cleaning and her example trickled down to me. Mowing, raking using the leaf blower etc it gives me a sense of satisfaction that my home is maintained. I am coming up on my sixty sixth birthday soon. I definitely tire out faster now. But Genelle, thank you for sharing how everyone pulls together for a common goal and even pitching in to help with individual goals. People definitely needs to have more of a sense of community.
pressure washing is one of my favourite things, this year I decided to do the colony kitchen and it was sooo satisfying especially since one side gets a lot of sun which was then covered with insect nests. I understand a clean house and yard is a good feeling. ❤
Giselle Hi, great video!! I always wonder when you clean, especially a big clean like now in Fall, how do you know where to start and what to clean next? I'm older and still struggle with where to begin. Which room and where in the room do you start? You clean things I've never thought of cleaning(embarrassedly) and seem to have a methods that gets it done so efficiently. You get done in a day what takes me a week cause i'm making more of a mess as I go(always, haha). Also it seems like I never see a ton of cleaning products around you, what do you use and what do you use it on? Your windows are so clear! P.S. I would love a video on this if you ever would want to make it, and I bet others would too!?!? Have a great week!
Big machinery is used to harvest, but people scrubbing the floors on their hands and knees…? Would it be so weird to just use a mop and a bucket - is being on one’s hands and knees a way to overstate something that doesn’t need to be overstated?
In confused about your work duties when I see you doing a lot of housework, yard work and cooking so what are your siblings and parents responsible for?
Always interesting and inspiring to have an inside view on everyday life inside a Hutterite community Giselle, I find myself having to do much the same in my every day got to be done day to day chores, so I guess not a lot different there for most of us in that regard, except ye folk get to go to church much more often and pay more attention to biblical scriptures and get to sing those wonderful hymns together. Just wondering do Hutterites allow wedding photos to be taken of themselves on their wedding day as seems taking images with a camera is frowned upon by many in Hutterite, Mennonite and Amish communities, I could be wrong about that though, suppose it varies and depends on ones personal values and belief's. Anyways love and really enjoy those wonderful uplifting hymn's you end your videos with, especially looking forward to lots of Christmas hymn's later.
oh yes, all Hutterites take wedding pictures, it's not frowned upon in our culture. I don't really know about the other cultures but, here it's not a problem at all.
It's a walking foot. On some machines you have a separate foot to do the job but on this machine you have to manually engage it (pull down and it clicks into place)
Now if I remember correctly one person will move to the other colony I can't remember which one I have to look it up but what I would like to ask if I may do the duties change when somebody is married I've often heard you say the girls and the ladies is that determined by age or is that determined by marriage thank you for getting back to me on this I'm very curious blessings to you and yours
I have a question..are you allowed to wear any sort of pj's to bed you would like or do you have to wear a long dress? Do married couples share the same bed or have separate beds? Love the vlogs as always. Enjoy the cleaning and cooking, always helps get me motivated.
Do hutterities marry because they fall in love? Or is it more of an arranged marrage? Do you have to look in other communities? Are there lots of single peopl? What age is marrage normally? No offense just curious! Love the videos and have for years.

"Being all over the place is realistic", like a patchwork quilt, it's all beautiful from top to bottom, side to side.
This vlog cured my hatred of cleaning. I can now do a full day of it, and enjoy it. Thank you!! I admire the Hutterites.
