Palmer had one of his worst games against Leicester, not because he didn't score and assist, but because he was not nearly as effective with his passing and chance creation. If you compare this performance against what he did against Arsenal and Man U, it's clear he was off. Felix was doing most of that stuff that Palmer normally does. The chance the Madueke blocked from Palmer happened because of Felix slipping the ball in brilliantly to Jackson. Felix held the ball so well when we needed to keep possession. I think if you look at our control of the match overall, we were clearly in control of the match until Caicedo and Felix came off the pitch (Felix for his possession, Caicedo for his tackling). So next match Felix plays, maybe watch a bit closer to see what you missed in the last match.

Last 5 min of the first half is why we can’t play this system against better teams. The second they get through the midfield we’re so open and everyone is running back and Felix and Enzo aren’t going to tackle and track like Caicedo + Lavia can. I'm hoping Maresca keeps up this zero tolerance approach and drops Palmer for a game or 2.. it worked with Enzo and Felix is more than good enough to step in there.
