Great video!! I’m coming up with my son this week to Kenai, His first, my second. Thank you for the video
@@RangerGeno there’s lots of fish to be caught right now thanks for watching
Another place to snag is the end of Nash Road. It’s day parking, and it’s nice early. I fish the tides out there and do very well
Yes it’s first place I ever snagged fish at. Thanks for sharing we appreciate it are you coming down sometime soon
@@BOUTDOORSALASKA I will be at the Youth Fishing Area Only 6/5 Ninilchik River with my son. We were in Seward Tuesday evening Wednesday Morning last week and got our limits. I might head back down this Weekend. All depends on the tides and if the Kings show up in numbers here. If Ship creek is landing lots of Kings I will stay here. If Not Seward will be the best option
That’s awesome good luck up there we aren’t very knowledgeable about up there in that area
@@BOUTDOORSALASKAfished the overlook hole this morning lost a jack. My 4 yr old went crazy when his bobber went down 😮my brother his headed your way this afternoon any updates on the reds?
Working on Reds update today will post asap
Seward sockeye snagging is quite the harvest! We look forward to it every spring.
Our quick tip - NEVER use braided line. These channels aren’t more than 20’ across. So if there’s someone across from you, your lures can easily get tangled. If that person isn’t all that experienced, you’ll be getting tangled A LOT. And with braided line, all you can do is cut the line and waste time re-tying it. With mono it only takes a few seconds to untangle and you’re right back to catching.
BTW, we use 20lb mono and we’ve never had a problem. No need for anything heavier.

This guy looks like the John C Riley of the outdoors.
Awesome video 🔥
Where you there Friday
I was there last Friday, got two at Nash road.
It was rough for a few days seiners were out mopping them up
Mr B, did you see anybody selling wood bundles in the parking lot you use ? I'm headed that way fridsy
Safeway does and Nash bay campground does
What time of day is best to go? Low/high tide? I’ve seen differing opinions. Thanks!
We like incoming tide the best mid incoming seems like it is better for us
Would a 9' rod work for both snagging salmon and halibut surf fishing?
That’s the size of one of ours and it works fine it’s just heavy when snagging
I want to know if it's nagging it just for the local people or for everybody
No Snagging is for everyone with a license
Thanks I'll come from Portland Oregon next week
My buddy limited out last night it’s good if you play it right
Im here in seward til the 14th. My charter trip got canceled, anyway you can help me catch a fish. Purdy please
