    Get cinder blocks and fill the holes with concrete, then you can drill the bolts to the blocks.

    Rad, man. I got the same one this year for Father’s Day. I just ran tapcons through the holes into my patio. You can hang a weight from that middle hook, too when not using it. I LOVE it!

      Cool, good to know. I'll swing by the hardware store this weekend. Do you need any special grill or impact tool to install the tapcons?

      @@BadBeastBarbecue It's always best to have an impact drill when drilling into concrete, but I didn't. If you can borrow one, it'll be easier. I used a "corded" drill, and just went slow and provided a lot of "weight" to it. Usually the hardware comes with a bit (you have to use the concrete bit). Another tip to avoid breaking your bit: Keep some cool water nearby, and periodically pour a little into the hole as you're drilling. Of course you need to pull the bit out periodically too to dispose of the material it's boring away. I'm sure you know all that already. All said, I just did one tap per leg (there are two holes, I just used one) with a washer and it's been up 3 months (I got mine early). Good luck.

    Thought about buying one last year, think I might pull the trigger now. That was much easier to assemble than I assumed. The closer was when you mentioned a shady spot to enjoy my buffalo trace and perdomo stogie while the food cooks.....

    You could try dumping sand into the 4 main poles to weigh it down. But youd have to take it back apart some to do so. Wouldnt be to heavy to move but enough weight to keep it in place.

    Won't the heat be detrimental to the longevity of the fabric roof?

    You think this would fit over inflatable hot tub?

  • @lilcourtny08
    @lilcourtny08 4 роки тому

    Just use some tapcon screws. You don't need heavy duty concrete anchors for that. Easier hole to fill and easier to remove. A cheap hammer from harbor freight will work for those

      @@BadBeastBarbecue I worked in construction, you can buy a cheap hammer drill from harbor freight to drill those holes. Get the longest tapcon screws at the hardware store

    I had 2 of these, worked great but snow was the killer to my 1st one, 2nd one wind wrecked. This was my main roof in my last 2 years of BBQ vids though, Cheers and you can see a vid of me tearing my last one down in my "Shanty Build" video Cheers!

    Several months later. How has it held up?

    • @BadBeastBarbecue
      @BadBeastBarbecue  3 роки тому

      It has held up well so far, I took the covers off the top of the gazebo during the winter to make sure the wind, cold and snow did not destroy it. I recently put the covers back on since winter is over and it is still doing the job. I do need to tighten some of the screws as it is producing a squeaking sound when the wind blows, other than that I am pleased with the purchase.
