BTW, these are admissions percentages, not percentages of matriculants. Many kids applied to multiple schools and were admitted to multiple schools. However, they can matriculate into only one school.
4:41 - The Asian percentage of "UC Total" doesn't make any sense. How can it be 33% when the lowest percentage for a given school is UC Merced at 33%. For all the other schools, the Asian percentage is higher, going all the way to 43% at UC Irvine and 42% at UC Berkeley.
Ah, I see the note. All of the admit percentages for the individual schools reflect kids that may have applied to multiple schools. The UC Total column eliminates the duplicates.
Fascinating ....thank you for doing this video!! I've shared w/ fellow parents interested in this......we'll be discussing. Tx.
Thanks for the information

This might be why University of Oregon is referred to as UC Eugene where there are a lot of white kids from California high schools
The moral of the story, don't bother apply to a UC if you are OOS.
No its the opposite if anything. OOS acceptance rates are higher than in-state for UCs bro
