why are some people mad that she made an honest review? people are allowed to have their own opinions, and honestly i'm glad that she didn't overhype the products
carolyn huynh from what I see people are pissed at the comparison between the contour sticks when there is CLEARLY a difference in the amount of product between Fenty and KKW. As a beauty blogger you would think she would compare apples to apples when starting an opinion 🤷🏾♀️.

No one is mad. Just like her, we as viewers have the right to disagree with her. Some viewers her opinion as trash and I don't understand why that is considered "hating" or "bandwagoning for rihannna" as some call it. There is a thumbs up and thumbs down option on UA-cam for a reason.
Why is it only an honest review when the youtuber is being negative about a product? Just because most people find that the Fenty line is great and almost all products work for them doesn't mean they're being dishonest. If a youtuber is really excited about the line and shows it in their video whats bad about that? If you really wanna find out go buy some for yourself.
Rihanna sticks are actually very thick so you get a decent amount of product. While Kim k was a short nub and thin.

With the KKW contour sticks you get 0.9 g of product (for one end of a stick?) But Fenty Beauty skinsticks have 7.1 g of product. So there is a HUGE difference.
yeah but the Rhianna sticks are dry and stiff while the KKW ones are creamy and easy to blend. I personally go for quality or quantity but everyone has different preference.

She's not "coming for riri". Compared to other brands Rihanna and kim both aren't putting out that much product to other brands.
The product in the match stix may seem like it's not a lot, but because its really thick and you don't need much of it, it would last much longer and be more worth it than the Kim K one, which was very thin and you needed a lot of product to conceal and contour.
I don't know.... I get your point, but what I've seen everyone's using a lot of the contour because it disappears when blending..

That's because you're not supposed to see a contour in regular daylight. It's supposed to a mimic a subtle shadow, most people are actually over-using contouring products. If you don't go nuts with it, that countour stick should last a while.
I think the Fenty beauty is more catered to darker skin tones, especially the colour schemes of her products.
p.s. I'm not talking about her foundation range, I'm targeting on her highlighters because I think these vibrant amazing shades would suit darker skin tones better.

I love how Tina is one of the few being honest and not only blinded by the name behind the products. This stuff is really expensive for just a bit of average product. Be honest guys.
Otakugirlz world of course it's gonna be different prices she's selling it in 16 or so countries and everyone cost of living and prices are different. Her products are cheaper than several different brands also she's in the middle price range not exactly high end. She did great with her first launch and I'm sure she's gonna do better with her second launch when she bring more stuff out after seeing all the reviews and etc. 40 foundation shades, 20 conceal and contour shades, several highlighters, and shimmer sticks like most people only launch one product.

Also, other UA-cam got it for sent for free and Tina had to buy it like everyone else on this planet watching her. That's why SHE has a different view on it, everything that's for free is much better than buying it yourself.
UA-cam and their beauty gurus is a whole bunch of advertisement and product placement, people watch actual advertisements for hours. Tina says honestly that she's not completly convinced by every product, which I apreciate a lot.
Otakugirlz world Actually, a lot of UA-camrs bought the product. It really isn't that expensive if you think about it. Firstly, the packaging isn't cheap. Secondly, it has more product than most high end brands for a cheaper price. Thirdly, despite using her name it's priced very affordably and the products aren't actually supposed to be used in huge amounts - less is more. That's the point of her makeup brand.
ammiel - agreed! My foundation I buy is more expensive then Rihanna's and also some other things! Like the highlighter pans are big! They are going to last you!
the price isn't that expensive it's cheaper than NARS which is what I normally buy 30ml Nars foundation costs £33 where as 32ml fenty beauty foundation costs £26 pounds and Nars hasn't even got as wide a range of foundation.

Lol? I'm not a fan of either Kim K or Rihanna, but it's clear that Rihanna's Match Stix (7.1g) has more product than Kim K's (0.9g). Also Rihanna's cream stick is a lot thicker than Kim K's.

Tina the foundation finish is beautiful but it appears it oxidized. It looks darker than when you applied.

And Trophy Wife is meant as an hightlighter for black and brown girls... that's why it's so saturated. This collection is all about offering enough shades so that everyone can find colors that match them and that look good on them. I'm pale af, I don't think that I could pull off trophy wife on the cheeks, but that's doesn't mean it's not nice as an highlighter. For me, for example, there would be other colors to choose. But the quality of the highlighters and the sticks? They actually looked great even on the eyes and they lasted long, they were still there after hours. I guess that's what's important after all, isn't it?

where do they state the highlighter is for darker skin? cause I know if someone put out a highlighter and specified it for light skin we would never hear the end. also trophy wife doesn't look good on anyone its a green/yellow glittery mess.
I super agree. I love tina! But this video disappoints me because it seems like she just considered her skin tone for the trophy wife and didnt even bother comending riri about considering deeper darker skins. I myself is a medium skinned gal. Also, she didnt even consider how much chubbier fenty match sticks are compared to KKWs.

Tina, I love your videos, but there is way too much white causing some blowout/overexposure. Try softening the light (since you're using natural light, diffuse it to make it less powerful) and avoid wearing white since you have a white background, this allows us to see things truer to its colour

Trophy wife is a highlighter for people with very warm, golden skin. They need a highlighter like that and the market doesn't really cater to that.
And neutral olive, Riri's summertime foundation is 360 neutral olive and i wear the exact same color and trophy wife looks great

I love how calm and down to earth you were during this video. I've been watching several impression videos on Fenty Beauty to see what was worth trying and almost every youtuber just kept screaming over the highlighter shades, and you're the first one to not be like "OMG LOOK AT THAT GLOW". I also love how honest you were at the amount of cream product you get in the sticks...I also felt like "that's all you get...??" when others were raving about how there's so much product in the sticks. So glad you did this review and I have a better idea on what items I'd like to try!

I really like your review of these products. Out of all the reviews I've seen your the only person that's actually showed how much product is in each contour stick, brightening stick etc. I think showing that actually would give some people a 2nd thought about purchasing the products, because after all their pretty expensive. So to only get to little product that didn't do anything special for $79 as a trio isn't worth it either in my opinion.
Rihanna's sticks actually come with a standard amount of product (.25 oz.) comparable to Nyx's and Maybelline's which are also both .24 oz. If you get the trio, it is actually a decent value for the amount of product you get. Online, you can purchase a customized trio with the shades you like as well. KKW's was $48 for 0.032 oz haha
KKW's was 0.032 oz per tip so the total amount would be 0.128 oz and a brush for 48 dollars. Still a total a ripoff though.

Ruby Golani that's more than a lot of chubby sticks. Usually they're 5-6 grams.
What I've noticed is that the contour sticks are completely different than any other. Don't use them like a regular stick because it'll be harder to blend and just plain wasteful. Put some on a brush then build up and believe me it'll last forever!

So Rihanna's line gives you 4x the product for a similar price
It's also a thicker, more luxurious product so you don't use nearly as much
Not to mention the product isn't cheap and won't fall off the stick
The two are not comparable
more like 2x the product. You are forgetting that each KKW kit comes with 2 sticks. Also KKW comes with a dual brush stick so the pricing isn't in Rih's favor just like that. As for the quality however I agree that Fenty wins.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail I was just like wtaf why are people saying that, its thick so obviously its going to be more product its ment to be used a little bit at a time as its very pigmented. The KKW collection has a more warmer orange tone, Fenty beauty is a colder pink grey, plus its her first launch this might be the colour of the base of the face. Maybe the eye, lips and eyebrows packaging will be different? But Rihanna needs to work on the full coverage part and that's it and maybe another 5 foundations since I couldn't find a match...

You really should have picked the individual cream sticks so you can get the right colors for your skin, and they still have a good amount of product even though they aren't tall, but they're really wide so it'd last a while.

Honestly I checked the prices for this on the American sites, and three products for what was it 54 dollars ? To me that doesn't seem bad at all. There's brands like Milk who has one cream stick up for like 30-40. I mean at least this gives you a trio. Also why complain when you know you're paying for a brand name and possibly better quality than drugstore? If it's too steep then that's okay, save up or move on.

That and Kim's brand the weight of her sticks were .032oz. Yeah .032oz.
Rihanna's is .25oz.
To put that in perspective the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation sticks are .25oz and they cost $46(US dollars).
The illusion with Rihanna's sticks is you get a fat tip. That's why it looks small. If she had made it skinnier you would think you have more product. Her product weight is in par with other high end makeup brands who charge more for the same weight. You aren't getting ripped off.
It took me two seconds to get this information, I think people who review these for a living ought to be a little more responsible and do research.

If you look at the ingredients, particularly for cream contour sticks, there aren't any ingredients that would really cost more. Legitimately, you can get drugstore brand cream contour sticks that are just as creamy and nice. Foundations would be a little different because they can add more skin benefits to them for high end brands, making them cost more than drugstore.

What I don't get with the celebs doing makeup or brands that get a lot of hype is why do their products cost so much but the amount of product you get does not really meet that price. I feel like more less well known brands or cheaper brands have better options for some of their products mainly stick products.
Other brand products with the same amount of product as celebrity brand lines are around the same price. So if you're gonna complain you should complain about every price on every brand. 🙄

Yes, gold highlighters are extremly beautiful on dark skin🤗but i just thought the pigmentation is just a bit too much regardless of the skin color. So in my opionion it is better as an eyeshadow than a highlighter. But maybe it is just because i prefer a more settle make-up.:)

hardcore army... um i think they mean although it's short, it's thick,which means VOLUME wise it's not so little. A better comparison would be to check how much the product weigh (vs normal stick concealer!)
I feel that the reason they make it short is so it wont break easily. I had that problem with maybelline contour duo.. it was too long it broke while i use it. I didnt even push it out too much :'( thank god it's not expensive!
