- Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to footage of The Daily Show host Jon Stewart “actually being funny”.
Mr Stewart lampooned MSNBC for refusing to show a “disturbing” image of Joe Biden being tied up on a pickup truck decal.
“Just earlier this month, much of the media in the US had an absolute meltdown about an obviously doctored image - a meme basically - on the back of a pickup truck,” Ms Panahi said.
“Can’t imagine why people have lost trust in the media - even Jon Stewart has lost faith.”

I am 6'5" and I never flew them in the last 20 years....tired of be treated and packed in like cattle!
Granted I am nowhere near 6’5”, but I have been flying for 40 years and not once have I felt “treated like cattle.” You buy your ticket online, go through security, board the plane, sit there, and get off the plane. It’s not a traumatic experience.
Not allowing a mother and baby to fly for misgendering is a reason for me never to fly United airlines again.
United it’s is the worst. They might as well call themselves DEI airways. Stay away from United. They’re hiring unqualified pilots just to check all the boxes. Not too long ago a DEI hire nearly crashed a 747
What happens in the US? In the UK, if you don't travel on the plane, your luggage has to come off to prevent the case where somebody might choose to be intentionally prevented from boarding or removed because they had planted a bomb in the luggage. I'm not saying it never goes wrong, but if a person doesn't travel on a plane, their luggage doesn't travel. The aircraft has to lose its time slot and the luggage be removed.
Now, losing that slot might slow down the airline's dictatorial tendencies at times, too.

How did coworkers or passengers not stand up for them? What I don't get is how it even happens. On a daily basis, nobody ever addresses me as "he", they either use my name if they know me, or say "you". I've never been asked "how is HIS day going" as if I'm being referred to in the 3rd person. That nobody among passengers and coworkers didn't see the insanity of the moment and stand up for the woman and her son is so pathetic there are no words for. Calling for people to be fired is cancel culture. I don't think we should advocate for that. Legal action against the airline is what matters. She & her mom should sue the airline. If she wins, she'll get a monetary settlement that will hopefully be enough to make the airline change their policy & training. Even if she loses, it would give publicity to the incident, leaving to more people boycotting the airline & turning more people against this authoritarian gender identity ideology.

As far as I'm concerned a non medical person denying medication to a patient isn't far from attempted murder. By all means sue the airline, but the staff that did this shouldn't be in a position of authority on an aircraft ever again.

One year ago today UAA stranded my 84-year-old MIL, my wife and me. Cancelled all our flights and refused to help us. They suck. Southwest Airlines spent 5 hours getting us to our destination. Will never forget
