Remember what SHMA did to Minus 1.
Don't get your hopes up and expect to get the same quality as the Prototypes. Because it's gonna WAAAAY worse when it comes to paint. God help your soul if you receive an item that have its eyes misaligned like mine and others have on our $140 Minus 1 SHMA figure
The review that I see about Minus One’s Godzilla SH, the figure have so cool paint and sculpture.

You might be just looking at those who didn't tackle it on a critical level. Because mine looked brownish and have disgusting blob paint and misaligned eyes. Like the rest of them. Look at the figures on those reviews and compare it to the prototype.
@@quack9355 I own an SHMA Minus One, and have no issues with it. I may have just been fortunate with a nigh flawless copy, but it’s a beautiful looking and feeling figure imo. Not every person had an issue with theirs, and that’s from me looking at nearly every review on UA-cam, and reading impressions from owners on the SH MonsterArts subreddit.
With Evolved Godzilla on display in person at Tamashi’s Godzilla display, it’s still looking quite good. Time will obviously tell, but with how good the likes of ‘72 Godzilla, Monster X, Showa Gigan, and SpaceGodzilla all came out, I’m personally confident that Bandai won’t inherently nor intentionally mess this release up by laziness nor incompetence. This is their biggest release of the year, and they most certainly are aware of such. They also know that Hiya’s version is releasing around the same time, so it will behoove of Bandai to nail their product, less they want Hiya to take customers from them.
All that to say: I think Evolved will be fine, and I’m optimistic, if not cautiously so. I’m looking forward to getting mine in-hand.
Well said! I'm optimistic, too. I had no issues with my GVK Godzilla. It's scary to hear some of the horror stories for sure. I would be bummed to get a messed up one for the kind of money they want. Hope they get their act together and that competition can elevate their game.
@@BuzzStudioADefinitely! Like, I don’t WANT Bandai to fail here, nor am I wishing or speaking that onto them by saying, “it’s going to look bad”. Hope for the best, expect more from Bandai, as they are indeed a premium company, and be excited! This hobby is supposed to be fun and exciting to talk about with other like-minded people, so let’s make it so. I’ve been collecting SHMA figures for years, have never had an issue with any of them, personally.
Evolved looks great so far, and I hope that he’s a smash hit for both Bandai/Tamashi Nations and SHMA, and us as collectors/fans.

The only reason people are saying this is a redemption for SHMA is because it's a new mmould However, for me personally, it still suffers from the issue of a lack of accessories especially at its cost

I decided to bite the bullet and pre-order this figure, knowing full well of SHMA's track record lately. My only other articulated Godzilla figure is the Hiya Toys Godzilla 2019. If this figure is not up to par, well, at least there's the Hiya Toys version, which is a regular release
Also, there are already pictures of the SHMA version that was on display at the Tamashii Nations Flagship Store in Tokyo. It was as close to what we've seen in the promotional images
What! Hiya toys is way more accurate at the body and head area, the pain and details are crisper too, the monster arts one is a massive improvement from their own past releases but if you look at reference the hiya toys one is unbeatable almost

His Dorsal Plates from neck to tail should've been bigger, his face should be more spiked plus a little bit thicker legs and with pink atomic breath piece, the figure would be perfect 🔥

So does anybody know the height difference between the SHMA and Hiya? I’m pretty sure Hiya is 7 inches but I can’t find how tall the SHMA one is.
According the Entertainment Earth listing it's 6.30 inches (16 cm)

Don't get your hopes high yet, shma could possibly continue consistent quality control issues. They've always done this to us every single time.When a popular movie or character comes out, they literally screw up on the most basic qualities of the figure.
Not only that, They have access to the actual 3D models of the characters and characteristics. But I feel like they intentionally make mistakes so that they can make an excuse so that they would make another version of the same figure but make you pay more for accessories.
That's the consistent pattern that's been going on for years now. Furthermore if you own the first release Or first production run Of the figure and they make a second variation with an accessory And you really want that accessory that just shows you how scummy they are.
(They did that intentionally so that if you bought the first production run of the figure And they made a second one that came with an accessory, They basically made a petty excuse.)
I think godzilla 2014 up to pre evolved hiya did it better but for the evolved sheesh I thimk I prefer shma on this one
Don't get your hopes up, the headsculpt going to get a massive downgrade like Minus One. Especially for that price, rather get the Hiya version.
