- Dancing with the WINNER of India's Biggest Reality Show: Dance + Season 5. Working with Rupesh was such a HUGE learning experience. He is so much fun to choreograph with -- the way he thinks is on another level itself.
MY MOST CHALLENGING SHOOT EVER! HERE'S WHY:
Rupesh was SO NICE to drive down all the way to Pune just to shoot this video. Initially, we had different plans for our collab video. We were about to begin choreographing for the song we decided and all of sudden Rupesh suggests changing the song to Banno. I'm like -- you know what -- what a great suggestion, let's do it! THE CHALLENGE WAS our entire vision for the video changed and we had only 1 day to choreography the song, find a location, decide costumes, and shoot. After choreographing we finally found an outdoor Dhaba style restaurant to shoot this song but it started raining and our location fell through 3 hours before our scheduled shoot time. Because of lockdown, all restaurants, studios, hotels were shut so finding another location in a couple hours was driving me crazy. Shoutout to my friend Amrut, who owns a hotel and allowed us to use his space to shoot the video in his banquet space. Shooting in front of a white wall would look very simple so we thought of getting Genda Phool to add some color and vibe to the background. Cause of lockdown, no florists were open and all the temples were shut. Somehow "Jugaad" karke we managed to arrange Genda Phool an hour before the shoot. We took about 2 hours to set up our production (Shoutout to our cinematographer for being a production manager as well) and after 5 long hours, we were finally able to get the shoot done.
