Being an Indian, can feel few emotions of this country which took birth from an United land. Hearing this tune I felt the history and the same emotion is being told. The history of wealthy and happy people then the era of being colonised and the freedom movement and getting freedom, the sorrow of people who bear the brunt of the partition... Then again the zeal to excel....
India still today is one of most unhappiest country in the world, so let's not read too much into what this anthem means to us. The history is too painful for the ones who have suffered through that 'happiness' of yours.
