The Raiders will keep three backs on the active roster- Lynch, Richard and Washington along with fullback Jamize Olawale. Hood will be on the practice squad.
Taiwan Jones may officially be listed as a RB, but he will primarily be special teams.

George Kiriyama I can see it. deandres good in the pass game for sure almost better consistently then the run keep him polish his run behind everyone else maybe he busts out later or he'd be a good situational player or pick up some late picks for him. I do think marshawn and Richard are our 1 2 punch and this guy hood could benefit the most from marshawn if he takes him under his wing as a down hill runner

In a loaded running back class, Hood is my sleeper pick of the bunch. He's a power back with a little bit of speed. 5'11 and 233 pounds. He did 18 reps at the combine. He ran a 4.58 forty at his pro day and had a 31.5 vertical. His 3 cone was 7.12. Compare that to Dalvin Cook's which was 7.27. Similar in size, Samaje Perine is a second day pick but Hood could go undrafted. Just like Arian Foster did. Foster ran a 4.68 for a forty and had a 7.09 3 cone. Foster averaged 4.6 yards a carry in college and Hood averaged 5.5 yards per carry. Foster had 23 touchdowns in 4 years and Hood had 29 in 3 years.

Number 4 ranked running back coming out of high school. He's a sleeper for sure. Reminds me of how everyone passed on Brady because David Terrell at wr and Anthony Thomas at rb, both of those guys were drafted high because everyone thought it was their skills, although it was Brady who was making them better. Here we are same situation, Trubisky, Switzer, and Hood. I think Hood made them look better. He's a future thousand yard back.

fedora underutilized hood and Logan. letting trudisky throw it 50 times a game. when Williams was Qb the tarheels was 11- 3 and lost to Clemson by 10 in the ACC title game..last yr Carolina was supposed To challenge Clemson for the conference crown . the same offense hood,TJ ,switzer at slot two 6`5 receivers that were 3 yr starters (all were drafted )same online same defense .the only difference was trubisky.. it didn't happen, mitch had numbers but I don't think he can lead a team. glad hood got drafted..

Hey I just knew Hood would go UDFA and we would take him. I would never of dreamed we would take McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. With our offense on the power run all I can say this blew my mind.
