KathleenLights Yes i want to see part 2 to your reaction to photos because the first one i legit cried laughing at how funny it was i kept telling everyone about it
Hollie Forrest That's what I was thinking too!! All the drama to get the screen after it fell and I was expecting a funnier story about getting a pizza through a window that was so tall the pizza guy had to stand on the bench to deliver it!!!
That story made my day! Let me share a really embarrasing story as well: One day when i was 15 i was leaving walmart with my dad and sister and it was starting to get a little dark outside and i went into a car without knowing IT WAS A STRANGERS CAR! I was on my phone looking for a song to listen to and without knowing, i opened the nearest car's door. I didnt notice until a man yelled at me and i was immediately shocked and ran out! That was literally the most embarrasing moment of my life! I still wonder why their car door was open...
LOL I've done that. It was winter and I had a snowball fight with a friend whilst waiting for my parents to pick me up. It was dark and I just saw a dark car, so thinking it was mine I opened the door and threw myself in... Only to realise it was a complete stranger. Luckily they pointed out that I had the wrong car and I got out.
OMG not too long ago, I was getting food from a restaurant and when going back to my car I was on the phone, then somebody ask me of the food at that restaurant where I got my food was good and everything, so, I walked to this white car and I was pressing true alarm button to open my car right, and I indeed heard the alarm off but wasn't able to open the friking door. And they guy kept asking me oh what kind of food do they have and all and I just kept pressing the alarm button to open my car, after like four attempts of trying to open the door, I realized it wasn't my car, but the one next to it!!! My Gawwwwd that was soooo embarrassing!!!
I did that I ran outside a store bc I forgot my wallet and opened a cars unlocked door with my moms key! the poor old man was probably so confused! most likely the key worked because it was the same type car but still that's scary ahaha!
arianabarron Haha I love being Cuban/American I feel like I know Kathleen MORE because of the shared stories and growing up guidelines!! :) KathleenLights
I think it's just a Hispanic/Latino thing because I live in Texas and trust me my dad is that old school Hispanic man where I wasn't able to go on dates with my bf of then 2 years until I was 18 and in college. Even now, we're 8years and my dad still calls hi, my friend and has many MANY restrictions now lol.
This is SO TRUE omg. I feel like Cubans just talk shit all the time lol. I would have to be like "mom don't tell anyone that". And I feel like Cuban parents are insanely over protective, even when we become "adults". But I wouldn't change my heritage for the world.
Ok, I am a little late to the party, but I am catching up on your videos and wanted to share my awkward story! I moved to Paris 2 years ago to live with my boyfriend, and after a couple months, I noticed that moving here caused lots of awkward things to happen to me! I was on a super crowded bus in the city with my boyfriend, and me and 100 other people are all squished together. There was an arm in front of my face that I assumed was my boyfriends....so to be cute and sweet, I kissed the arm. I look at his face to see his reaction, but he is completely distracted and looking away. Thats when I realized something was wrong....I turn to my front and see a girl my age with a MORTIFIED look on her face. Why? Because some strange girl just KISSED HER ARM. I started babbling in english trying to apologize because I couldn't think fast enough to speak french. I started crying because I was so embarrassed and laughing so hard. Then I had to stand next her her with my tomato red face for another 10 minutes, trying to avoid eye contact. It was great.
You said it's not a funny story but actually I had to laugh soo hard :D just kinda sad that your family didn't believe you, I think my mom would have found it hilarious if I told her a story like that and I'm pretty sure would have believed me :D
Ang R of course I don't know him. Neither do you. So we have to believe what Kathleen says and I don't think she would describe her parents so positiv in other videos if he were abusive. Call it whatever you want but it would hurt me to read that somebody would call my parents abusive if they're not.
From listening to Kathleen's stories, I can say I relate. Super strict Hispanic parents, yet loving and supportive. I have GAD as well and it did stem from that.
Lmfao! So I'm watching and totally following your story and laughing! my husband says "what are you watching?" i say "Kathleen" "the one with the cats?" (Nicole Guerriero) "noo!" "The red head?" (Jaclyn Hill) "no" "Navy Girl?" "lmao yes" We are a marine family so i said oh her husband is in the navy a looong time ago and he now nicked named you NAVYGIRL lol He had nick names for everyone i watch on youtube none are the real names... :/ LOVE YOUR KATCHATS
I'm not normally someone who posts "like this if..." things but I gotta know. Like this if you're watching this during a binge of watching old Kathleen videos like I am 😂
I love ur kat chats! You should definitely do a positivity video because I honestly loved your anxiety one! I love that you're so close with your family and hearing your stories about them is wonderful! They're lucky to have you!
My awkward middle school story- KathleenLights - I was also always very shy and nervous around boys. I could only laugh or giggle when they looked or talked to me. I could feel my face getting hot too. lmao! Then one day in 8th grade? This boy I had the BIGGEST Crush on (Jon!) kept talking to me and then starting sitting in front of my table (this was Science class by the way, so we had slab tables for 2 students at a time. Jon started siting in the table in front of mine. Anyway, one day, it REALLY seemed like he liked me back and was flirting (talking a lot to me) etc. etc. So, THAT day my friend decides she is going to tell him after class how I like him and find out if he likes me back. I beg her NOT TO. Yet, she proceeds to do so anyway. So here I am, after class. The bell has already rung. All the kids from my class are gone. My friend already talked to Jon, but he is still outside of the classroom! Waiting for me!? I AM FREAKING OUT. Finally, I am able to muster up some courage to leave the classroom and face what is about to happen. My heart hammering all the way. Then, Jon confesses to me. That he doesn't like me and runs away to his next class. WTF? I of course end up at my next class (Math, this time) proceed to lay my head down on my desk and just sob. It was a hideous mess! The funny part!? YEARS LATER. I'm talking in my College years, I'm at the local YMCA pool with my then boyfriend. Guess who is a lifeguard there and attempts to HIT ON ME? Jon! LMAO!!! Too little, too late!! ;)
Omgggg this actually was really funny! Hahahahah hispanic families I tell ya! My awkward story in short: I was ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to date at all, but of course I decided to date someone when I was in 6th grade. Well, MySpace was huge then so I guess my bf at that time had pictures of me and had shown them to his older brother. Turns out his older brother worked with MY MOM and one day he was (for whatever reason) showing a picture of his "little brothers gf" at work and he so happened to see my mom and say "wow! I never noticed how much my little brothers gf looks like you Maria!" BOOM. there goes my life hahahaha needless to say my mom came home and things got scary hahahaha till this day I can not figure out why he had a picture of me with him at work 😭 Then...I was told to break up with him. And of course I didn't listen haha so here comes a parent teacher conferences and I'm walking next to my mom and he so happens to walk by and we just smile at each other and my dumb PE teacher is walking towards us too and says "oh look there's your bf" and I'm like 😰😰😵😵 and my mom was like 😊😊😊😊😊 excuse me? Yup. Busted AGAIN lmao!
(Continued) ...sees him and says "oh look, there goes your boyfriend Carolina". Of course I was like 😰😰😰😰😵😵 and my mom was like "excuse me???? 😊😊😊😊😊😊". BOOM. Busted again 😂😂😂😂
+Witchs Brew hahaha yeah growing up my parents were "so strict" amongst the rest of my friends, but that's just how it is. To us it's normal ya know? And yes I agree it's nice to have a YT'er you look up to with similar cultures :)
NEVER! Long, boring or pointless lmao! I always love your videos. I was actually wondering when you would do another Kat Chats. YAY! RANDOM- but- KathleenLights did you change your upload schedule from Noon to 9am? ;D xo.. fashion chalet
KathleenLights onetime in 7th grade, we had a bunch of testing so they wouldn't let any one in or out of the class room. so anyways, one morning I woke up and was like "imma look super cute today." so I threw on my favorite pair of jeans and I walked out the door with lots of jewelry, hair curled, cute top, and I went to school. through out the testing day my jeans felt a bit loose. I put it on the back burner just thinking they got stretched or I lost weight... I went on with my day. (keep in mind I talked to A LOT of my friends and they didn't say anything.) Well when third period came we had testing. So no one in or out after the bell. I was like oh okay this is fine! so my jeans felt supper super loose. we were only allowed to leave once to go to the bathroom so I got up and I was sitting all the way in the back so I past a bunch of people on my way to the front of the room. I went to the bathroom and when I pulled down my pants to pee i was so mad at what i saw. There was a HUGE rip straight down the seam of my freaking butt crack. no one told me all day. i was so mad. so many people saw my butt and since i have a lot of anxiety i didn't go to school for like a week, thinking every one saw my butt! No one decided to be nice and tell me "hey ambur you have a rip in your ass crack" i was so embarrassed and yelled at all my friends and they claimed they didn't see it but im sure they did. i was mad for a long time lol. but now, me and my friends just laugh at myself. i love your kat chats and you are hilarious.
Window ho!! Ha!! Too funny!! So when I was in highschool (senior year) my boyfriend was dropping me off and my parents offered for him to stay the night (on the couch) because it was snowing so bad that it was dangerous to drive. So, of course he jumped on the opportunity to stay the night. In the middle of the night I creep into the living room and talk him into sneaking into my room. As things were getting a little heated (just kissing) my mom walks in and turns the light on. The next morning when I walked into the living room where my boyfriend was sleeping my dad was drinking coffee sitting next to him on the couch. The first thing my dad says to me is, "If you're going to treat this as a bed and breakfast you better be paying me for it".... and then he started laughing as my jaw dropped and I looked at him and my boyfriend (who was equally mortified). I was so embarrassed. To this day (10 years later) my dad still brings it up. Calls it "midnight romps at the B&B". Terrible.
When my husband got back from deployment I was waiting for the installer to come to put a new phone line in are house so we could have Internet (this was a few week process). I was waiting at the house for a while well I decided to have left over ribs for lunch. Right after eating like not even 5mins the guy shows up and my dog is going crazy and this guy is all over my house we are talking all is good! Well it takes the guy a good hour to finish up. Then I get a call from my husband (who was at work processing back in) he was ready to be picked up. So drive there all excited I even go threw a gate to get to post and have a nice conversation with the MP about Texas and the weather!.... My husband gets in the car and the first thing he says is "what's all over your face?!" I look in the mirror I had BBQ sauce on my face !!THE WHOLE TIME!! I just wiped my face and hid in my hands I was Mortified! .... Really I think one of my most embarrassing moments of my life....
That IS such a hispanic thing! Growing up around my dad's parents (my Miami grandparents) they built the same thing for my Dad's grandmother- a smaller house in their backyard with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and family room. WE ARE SO THE SAME!! ;) KathleenLights
Yes can you please please do a chat on positivity!! You always seem like such a happy & positive person so please share your secrets to staying happy!! 😃
The summer between middle and high school, my parents were having a house built. I was walking around town with my friends and wanted to show them the house. We went to the house and tried to open the front door, but it was locked (naturally). So we tried all the other doors and windows but they were all locked. Except the one in the very front. So we opened it and climbed in. As we were all hanging out in what was going to be the master bedroom, I heard what sounded like a door handle jiggling. I hushed all my friends and listened and we all heard it again. I went out in the living room and looked out the window beside the door and it was a cop! We freaked out and climbed out the window, which was in the back of the house. We ran around the side of the house only to run (LITERALLY RUN!) into the cop! We all got put in the cop car and taken down to the police station. They called our parents and asked them to come down to the station. I told them it was my house and everything, but they didn't believe me. When my parents got there they asked if it was really our house and if they wanted to press charges against us! ALL of us, including me!! None of us got in trouble though lol. I still laugh about it quite often. It took us a long time to figure out how the cop knew, but my neighbor across the street (who happened to be a retired police officer) saw us climbing in the window and called them! He was kind of a grumpy old man lol
Apparently it cut my story off. Basically the cop asked my parents if it was really my house and if they wanted to press charges against us. ALL of us, including me! Found out it was the neighbor across the street who happened to be a retired police officer that called the cops on us!
Omg my dad is crazy strict too! You should make a video about any strict or crazy protective thinks that he did. My dad never lets me out! My friends call me the prisoner hahaha smh
Natalie Valle Just leave. During daytime who is he to tell you not to leave. If he threatens you just threaten him right back with police or CPS. I did that all my life. Like when I got slapped I would threaten my mom with CPS. I knew my rights. Girl, you have rights. Usually those dads where the worst teenage boys. He should rather teach you to fend those creepers off with self-defense training of whatever instead of imprisoning you. Also if something would happen, God forbid, and you didn't feel safe enough to confide in a parent like your dad what's the point of it all. Seriously, emancipate yourself spiritually! You're a strong and independent girl. Ain't nobody has the right to take you prisoner.
hispanic families, they never listen lol. and blow everything out of proportion to add drama. Sounds like my hispanic side of the family, plus never letting anything go Great video! :) Love Kat Chats!
Once you started talking about how this story was weird, a certain incident that happend to me popped into my head lol. But this is soo embarassing. Especially since I was only about 10. Okay, I thought that this specific week was Spirit week and I went to school with about 4 pony tails spray painted pink, clothes on backwards, different shoes. Like totally weird. I thought it was 'wacky wednesday'. Which when I think about it now.. It was a wednesday..nobody was dressed weird monday and tuesday. But something in me for sure thought it was. Well I live about 7 houses down from my school so I walked. Well I got sooo many weird looks walking into the school. So I ran into the main office and ask if today was spirit week and they were like, "no I'm sorry, that's next week.." I WAS BAWLING. I left school and RAN my sad ass home. I washed my hair and changed my clothes and made it back on time. Well I'm in class and we are doing our work and my teacher calls me to her desk to talk and asks me about this morning and I said that it's true and she said that all the teachers in the conference room were talking about me and supposedly my principal chased me halfway down my neighborhood.... I started crying again. THE EMBARASSMENT WAS REAL. Let's just say I didn't participate in Spirit week the next week LMAO. My cheerfulness was gone haha.
I think your middle and high school stories honestly take the cake. I have more embarrassing stories than awkward lol! The time I got my very first migraine was wayyy back in 7th grade and it happened around lunch time. I didn't know what it was but I spent the entire time trying to eat food, feeling nauseous, with a Sprite can on my head. People I never spoke to were asking if I was okay. Health class came and it got to the point where it felt like someone was drilling nails in my head. I asked to go to the nurse and they thought I was lying/faking it because my temperature was below normal. I "tried" to sleep it off at the nurse's before I went to choir. During choir I was on the bottom riser and we were in the middle of the song and suddenly I sneezed and I guess that was my body's cue to barf. Threw up all over the floor and endured the worst walk of shame ever being walked out by a student with my choir class clapping like "Nice barf, champ!" People remember it to this day.
Heres my awkward story: I was at my bestfriends house 24-7 and it was about early February (She lives in PA) so it was still pretty chilly outside. She has a crazy neighbor who we refer to as The Witch because she would yell at as with her broom, and one day were sitting at her dinner table eating dinner with my bestfriends family when we hear a tap on the kitchen window. Her dad open the door and the witch is standing there and we hear her telling her dad how me and my bestfriend went swimming in her neighbors pool, may i remind you its chilly outside, and then she begins to raise her voice at her dad so he tells her that shes a crazy old woman and she hobbles away, it still baffles me as to why she felt the need to lie to get us in trouble haha.
2 summers ago I was supposed to "hangout" with a guy that I had been talking to for a really long time and it was around 2 in the morning. So this guy was texting me asking if we were still gonna hangout and whatnot and I said yes so he tells me that he is on his way over AND as I was waiting for him to get to my house, I end up somehow falling asleep. So then, this guy ends up standing outside of my house texting & calling me to come open the door to let him in, and he was out there for a good hour & to top it off, it was in the middle of winter. So let's just say, it was kind of awkward to speak to him again after that.
Kathleen!! I cant believe that you are sharing a story like this. It was the most entertaining story ever, I started laughing when everything started to make sense to me because I felt related. I got you girl! I could spend hours and hours talking about sooo many experiences like those in my life. Te entiendo perfectamente, ame tu historia! Gente chismosaaaa!!
Hi! I would love to see a video where you talk about maintaining a relationship through different phases of life as you and your spouse/partner grow and change. It seems like a lot has changed for you and Danny as he's been in and out of the military, you've moved away from your family and become a growing UA-cam beauty guru... Do you have recommendations on growing as an individual but also as a couple? Would love to hear how you two stay close and devoted through all these different life situations since you're both probably very different people than when you met/got married.
literally laughed so super hard watching this, best.story.ever. also I would love a Kat Chats on boy stories, those are always entertaining!! and the other ideas for Kat Chats are definitely awesome too! thanks for sharing your life with us, it's the greatest :)
This is the funniest story I've heard in quite a while! The whole jumping through the window almost made me spit out my food. Lol I would love to hear more stories !!
I had a similar window problem, I was about 15 and there was this boy from school who I really liked and he liked me! We started talking through summer break and my mom like HATED him. So I would open up my window and we'd talk for hours. My little sister found out and told my mom! So my mom told my dad to board up my window. I LIVED LIKE SERIOUSLY INFRONT OF OUR SCHOOL. I was there on known as the girl with the boarded up window
I'm like a year late to this video but omg I laughed so hard because I can totally relate! I have a crazy CHISMOSA neighbor. The other night that I went out with my guy friend, (I had parent permission and I came home like 20 min. before my 12p.m. curfew) my neighbor saw me talking outside with him before I went inside my house, and the next day she went and told my mom (that didn't see me come home because she was already asleep by the time I got there) that she saw a car with two people inside it at 2 in the morning in front of our driveway. My mom was all questioning me the next day but luckily she knew that I was actually home early because I sent her a text when I was on my way home and I had my friend send me a text when he got home, which wasn't late at all. I was so baffled and mind blown that she literally saw me standing outside of my house at 11:30 and still made up stuff just to go tell on me and I guess get a reaction out of my mom? Idfk, crazy lady lol
Elena Aivalioti Especially with sensitive characters. A different child may not have succumbed to the pressure. Talking about me rn. No amount of punishment could get to me. Ever. No playing outside! Whatever, I'll just watch tv. No tv. -Whatever, I'll just read. No, no books. -Whatever, I'll just sit in my room and daydream. As if I care. Slap. -Whatever, I'll just slap you right back. (my mom, may I mention) Even when my dad screamed I just screamed right back. When he slapped my cheek, I LITERALLY ignored him for 3 months. The force field couldn't have gotten to me. I was the worst.
My awkward story: I was in seventh grade and I was at a football game with all of my friends. One of my friends went missing and so we were looking for her. I thought I found her, because she had her back facing me and it looked like her hoodie. So I ran up to her and hugged her from behind, screamed her name and said "I found you!!" The person then turned around and it was one of those most popular girls in our school. She was dating the guy I had a HUGE crush on and he was with her. They both just stared at me, and I ran away because I was so embarrassed!
I don't know why you thought we wouldn't be laughing through this!! I had some great laughs while enjoying my morning coffee. This story brought back memories of being a kid and all the weird things that happen with your best friends. My sister had friends stay over when I was a kid, I think I was 8 so she would have been 12ish. It was winter time in Michigan so there were a few feet of snow on the ground. The sky was clear and there was a full moon so it was pretty bright outside. We decide to 'sneak out'. So we bundle up and put an OLD kid (think toddler) sized chair outside the window so we can get in and out. Remember I said it was old. lol So the four of us get out the window, and party animals that we are, we're "ice skating" up and down the middle of the road. We'd just get running start and see how far we could slide before we hit pavement or fell on our butts. In retrospect, explaining broken bones to my parents should have occurred to us but it didn't. It comes time to get back in the house and hello! There is nothing under the window INSIDE the house for us to get back in. Our bedroom window is about 2 feet from my parents so here we are, hysterically laughing trying to plan how we're going get all the way in. So we decide that I, as the youngest, smallest and lightest will go in first so I can get something to put under the inside window. I get in and start creeping through the house for something big enough to hold people but small enough that it's not too bulky to put in the small space between the window and the bed. While I'm out of the room and hear a squeal and more laughter. The little old chair had broken and tipped over and my sisters friend was stuck half in and half out the window!! To shorten the story, we pulled/pushed her through and she landed with a LOUD thump and hysterical laughter. We had to repeat the process with the other two and we had tears on our faces and sore abs from all the laughter. Amazingly, my parents didn't catch us. Fast forward a decade and change and I'm home for the first time in two years after getting married and moving across the country where my husband was stationed. We're sitting around the table one night, my husband, Mom, sister and brother talking about stupid things we did as a kid and did or didn't get in trouble for. This night came up and my Mom bursts into laughter. Turns out, we weren't stealthy at ALL. They heard us opening the window and then stood at theirs watching us play outside. Mom said that she was surprised we hadn't heard her and Dad laughing at us climbing back in (we'd glued the leg back on the chair and that, they hadn't known). She said they couldn't figure out for the life of them why we hadn't just used the unlocked front door!!! lol
Can u please do a whole video on your make up forever step 1 primers that r in the background of your video including which ones you like, which ones best for dry skins oily skin etc XXX
My parents were also super strict about boys and didn't like me hanging out with them. So I'd always have sleepovers at my friend's house and she had a bf so we hung out with her bf and his friend (who was also our friend). Well we were out walking around town until 1am and my friend's dad was very strict about her answering her phone when he called her. Well we were having fun with the boys(all pg), laying in the grass, talking, then walking around more. Meanwhile, my friend realizes that she hasn't checked her phone in a while, then also realizes that she left her phone on some random person's lawn (we were just walking and talking around town) and she freaks out and we all run back to look for it, We finally find it, and she had like 6 missed calls and has a meltdown. She calls her dad and he's pissed that she didn't answer her phone and he immediately comes to get us both. We were both supposed to have a sleepover, but he was so mad that he dropped me off at my parents house at like 1:30am and my friend had to explain who we were hanging out with and why she got in trouble and apologize to them. They weren't happy. The ridiculous part was that her dad didn't care that we were hanging out with them, or that we were walking around late, he just was angry that she "ignored" his phone calls. We then told him that my parents weren't okay with me hanging out with boys and if he dropped me off I'd probably get in trouble too, but he was pretty set. So on a different day, he went over to my parents house to explain to them who the boys were and that the friend was just a friend and a good kid and that they shouldn't worry. It was all pretty silly but we kind of laugh about it now. To this day if we hear her phone ring we still get anxious feeling haha. Ps this was like 8 years ago now. I also have hispanic parents and it was very hard for me to push the boundaries of boyfriend stuff. They were never happy about it. I didn't get a real boyfriend until I was 18 and it was pretty awkward presenting him to them haha.
Haha that ass face what a jerk! One of the most embarrassing/awkward moments when I was breaking up with my ex bf. Me and my friend would go on 3 way bc I didn't want to do it alone. So she 3 ways him and he doesn't answer so we had assumed that she hung up. We started talking about how she was peeing on the phone with me just stupid shit then we here a beep apparently she didn't hang up and our whole conversation was on his answering machine. So we called back begging his little brother to erase the message I mean it's hilarious now but then it was so horrible!
You should create an online book club! Recommend a book and either we can buy it and read it with you or just listen to you read it...you could do like one chapter each video🤓
Kathleen, what are you talking about? How is this NOT entertaining?! LMAO I laughed so much throughout the entire video, I swear! Your facial expressions are the best, you're a gret story teller! By the way, thank goodness your uncle and aunt are nice, cause they could be bitches and tell your parents about it lol By the way, I really want to see the part 2 and the one about happiness! :)
HAHAHAHAHAHHA THIS IS LEGITIMATELY THE BEST STORY EVER!!! I don't find lot of youtubers that chat with you not that interesting but you are just amaazzzinnnggg!! I envy your relationship too!
I'm so happy you let us get to know you on a personal level. Your personality is why so many of us love you! You are my favorite person I follow on social media 💕💕💕
Hahahaha I can totally see myself in this situation, my dad is the same way!! Super strict and yes! I would of done the same thing throw my self in the window... Because we don't have time to run to the front door!!!! All we have in mind is what if my dad comes?!?!? 😂😂😂
Omg that totally sounds like something that would happen to me! Yess positivity video!! I need it badly. (And also, if you do a random favorites of the month, can I be the UA-camr??)
Dylan Mercedes Yeah, I've lived in multiple states here in the US and every house/ apartment I've lived in has had screens. So idk why Kathleen thought it was strange to have screens o.o
Emma Teves Every now and then I'll see a house without screens on the windows, and I always think, like, what the hell, do they just not open the windows? Or is their house just full of bugs? lol
Hey Kathleen!! I didn't know you were Hispanic (: I'm am too and my dad was exactly the same! I know exactly how you felt your whole life cus I'm on the same boat as you ((: till this day I'm still afraid of my dad which kinda sucks because I just turned 24 like a month ago and I still cry when he calls me on the phone and yells lol it's really starting to bother me. He never ever let me talk about how I felt so my whole life I've been told to keep my mouth shut. And it sucks because now I suffer from that. I can't step up for myself and defend myself to anyone about anything. But watching your videos really makes me feel better because you bring joy to my life (:
+Fallen Muslimah thank you so much for your reply I really appreciate that you took the time to write a message (: I've told my dad that numerous times.that in adult and that I should have the right to be heard. And boom! He clicks lol. So I've been thinking that I probably should do it in person and once and for all explain to him how I feel about things and my childhood but I still haven't worked up the nerve to do it simply because im afraid of what he will do or what he will say.
I feel like we are tied to the whims of our parents because they provide food/shelter/clothes and all that stuff, so the moment we are able to get out of the house and support ourselves, we have very little reason to let them control our lives... I guess it all comes down to money. My parents weren't that strict but if they were, I would wait til I had enough money or have a good source of income til I will get the heck out of there lol
oh ok so i was going to my boyfriend at the time's birthday party and so we were trying to prank call people and my dad calls and I think that was the most perfect time to try and prank call him. So my friend is like answer it and put it on speaker so we can make like a flushing sound with the toilet, and other weird shiz. So I tell em to shut up and I hit the speaker button. I say "oh hi dad, whats up?" right then and there no like oh im ok, he just says very quickly "hey girl, what is your favorite brand of lady needs?" I like quickly hang up the phone and all of his guy friends and my girlfriends start to CRACK UP!!!!!! of course i was embarrassed but i laugh about it now!!!!! :DDDDDDD
This was the funniest video!! I loved this story and please keep making videos like this! I love your humor and your personality. I discovered your channel last night, and have spent HOURS watching all your videos. You haven't made a bad video yet! You are honestly my favorite UA-camr. 😊😊
Ass face update: I no longer speak to him. I also give him evil looks when I visit my dad.

KathleenLights Yes i want to see part 2 to your reaction to photos because the first one i legit cried laughing at how funny it was i kept telling everyone about it
I have a question what happened to the pizza ?
She always says her stories aren't funny and Everytime I crack up
Donya Kiné legit same 😂😂😂
Donya Kiné ahhahahahahahaah
she's SO FUNNY. But she's the best kind of funny because she doesnt know or realize she is. And she's so genuine and nice...I just love her, lol
But what happened to the pizza?!?
Hahahahahhahaha 😂 i thought the same thing!!
Hollie Forrest That's what I was thinking too!! All the drama to get the screen after it fell and I was expecting a funnier story about getting a pizza through a window that was so tall the pizza guy had to stand on the bench to deliver it!!!
Ikr WHERES THE PIZZA?!
She said that they didn't end up ordering the pizza & her parents brought them food.
Cassandra F aw ok thank you 💜
I live for these!! U need to make these more often because these are the beeeessssst. Woot woot.
***** do some stories together of your childhood!! Love both of you!!!
I love you guys together! The sister tag is still so funny. Do another video together!!
I love that you're so supportive. I always see you commenting on her videos. 😊
ALL HISPANIC KIDS CAN RELATE LMFAO
That story made my day! Let me share a really embarrasing story as well: One day when i was 15 i was leaving walmart with my dad and sister and it was starting to get a little dark outside and i went into a car without knowing IT WAS A STRANGERS CAR! I was on my phone looking for a song to listen to and without knowing, i opened the nearest car's door. I didnt notice until a man yelled at me and i was immediately shocked and ran out! That was literally the most embarrasing moment of my life! I still wonder why their car door was open...
LMFAO!!!!!!! OMG! that's horrible lolol
Hahahah. I've definitely opened a door or almost opened but never actually got in lol I would die.
That sounds so much like Miami and like Cuban culture because we literally can't do anything without everyone and their mothers finding out.
arianabarron Haha I love being Cuban/American I feel like I know Kathleen MORE because of the shared stories and growing up guidelines!! :) KathleenLights
I think it's just a Hispanic/Latino thing because I live in Texas and trust me my dad is that old school Hispanic man where I wasn't able to go on dates with my bf of then 2 years until I was 18 and in college. Even now, we're 8years and my dad still calls hi, my friend and has many MANY restrictions now lol.
arianabarron and nosy neighbors everywhere in south florida.
This is SO TRUE omg. I feel like Cubans just talk shit all the time lol. I would have to be like "mom don't tell anyone that". And I feel like Cuban parents are insanely over protective, even when we become "adults". But I wouldn't change my heritage for the world.
arianabarron I am Mexican and my parents are really strict too haha
The neighbor probably said you did it at two o' clock and your aunt assumed he meant two o' clock am cause who sneaks in at 2pm ya know 💁🏽
Ok, I am a little late to the party, but I am catching up on your videos and wanted to share my awkward story!
There's a lot of funny/awkward stories on here but yours is the best 😂👌
Aylin Espino Haha, thanks!
Omg haha that's amazing
Omg im dying hahahahaha
so you learned the important lesson NOT TO KISS A STRANGERS ARM, right.........
You said it's not a funny story but actually I had to laugh soo hard :D just kinda sad that your family didn't believe you, I think my mom would have found it hilarious if I told her a story like that and I'm pretty sure would have believed me :D
Lol it was just my cousins!! Lol my dad and mom believed me after I told them a few weeks later lolol
KathleenLights Haha that's good :D soo funny how you went through the window :D at least "Fabio" wasn't totally weirded out :D
That's why you can't just "sneak out" when you have hispanic parents. They either find out later or you get caught doing it.
Michelle yep!! lol
Michelle Yup! I was afraid to do that. The joys of an Italian father and Mexican mother.
u should have told the pizza guy to give u the screen back once he gave u the pizza
ikr I was thinking that from the beginning XD
Or just leave the money outside the door and get the pizza when the driver leaves. lol
I love listening to your stories, because I just adore your personality! ❤️ Love you so much!!!
I think we know where some of your anxiety stemmed from. The forcefield. lol
Kathleen said she had a great childhood and lovely parents just strict. Don't call him abusive.
Nobody said the word abusive. And she's probably right.
It makes complete sense. Our brains have this "muscle memory" and it's hard to erase the reactions we've taught our brain to have, I think.
Lmfao!
So I'm watching and totally following your story and laughing! my husband says
"what are you watching?"
i say "Kathleen"
"the one with the cats?" (Nicole Guerriero)
"noo!"
"The red head?" (Jaclyn Hill)
"no"
"Navy Girl?"
"lmao yes"
We are a marine family so i said oh her husband is in the navy a looong time ago and he now nicked named you NAVYGIRL lol
He had nick names for everyone i watch on youtube none are the real names... :/
LOVE YOUR KATCHATS
Vanessa Gonzalez hahhaah!
Lmao yes!
Lol thats awesome! My hubby has nicknames for my faves too!
Vanessa Gonzalez HAHAHAHAHAHA i'm dying
My bf calls Kathleen 'hey guys' hahahah
I couldn't help but notice the majestic rainbow of muf primers❤️
Hahaha
I'm not normally someone who posts "like this if..." things but I gotta know. Like this if you're watching this during a binge of watching old Kathleen videos like I am 😂
Best story ever.
K Michael OMG THANKS!! HAHA
Seriously though. Crazy story! hhaha what are the odds. At least you can laught about it now. :))
Do a Kat Chats about your life with Danny! How y'all met & your wedding!!
I love ur kat chats! You should definitely do a positivity video because I honestly loved your anxiety one! I love that you're so close with your family and hearing your stories about them is wonderful! They're lucky to have you!
My awkward middle school story- KathleenLights -
I was also always very shy and nervous around boys.
Jon! LMAO!!! Too little, too late!! ;)
fashion chalet hahahahah love it!!!!!!!
Karma's a bitch!!! Lmao!!! Your window story will definitely stay with me now :)) KathleenLights
this was such a nice video to wake up to!
A year and half after you uploaded this video I am watching it and it was hilarious!
Omgggg this actually was really funny! Hahahahah hispanic families I tell ya! My awkward story in short:
I was ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to date at all, but of course I decided to date someone when I was in 6th grade. I never noticed how much my little brothers gf looks like you Maria!" BOOM. there goes my life hahahaha needless to say my mom came home and things got scary hahahaha till this day I can not figure out why he had a picture of me with him at work 😭
Then...I was told to break up with him.
1. YES FOR THE PART 2!!!
Thank youuuuu
These are my fav....please make them all!! Especially the positivity one. Thank you! You are so awesome Kathleen!!

OMG last week i made a KAT CHATS marathon and wished so hard for another episode.. god exists
Hahaha
Huge what
Huge what ???
I MUST HEAR THE END I AM ENTICED NOOOOOO
Window ho!! Ha!!
Lol thats pretyy embarassing. Hahaha. :-D
I'm sure you were just hella excited to see your husband. Great embarrassing story, nonetheless. :D
It was super embarrassing I just laugh at it now.
That's hilarious.
Misty Cruz lmaooo THE WHOLE TIME!!!
I know you said this wasn't funny but I was like dying laughing! I can't believe that happened! Love your Kathleen - keep doing these videos :D
Thanks Julie!
Kat chats are my favorite videos of all time!! Story time cracks me up!
I was cracking up this entire video. Just how u were telling the story. Lol please do more of these !!!
That is hilarious!!!
Krisee A I think that the neighbor did the right thing
Yes, I can see that now. Back then, I didn't think so. I would be happy to have such a vigilant neighbor now.
You tell stories so well and they're absolutely hilarious! Never stop telling them, omg!
hispanic families, they never listen lol. and blow everything out of proportion to add drama. Sounds like my hispanic side of the family, plus never letting anything go
Great video! :) Love Kat Chats!
Lmao sounds about right
how is this story not funny?! I was rolling.
Really?!?!? Lmaooo. It was all over the place
i loved this so much!!! i wish i had a friend like you and just talk about funny moments like this
But what about the pizza?! Lol
Never ordered it lol
Seriously...did you guys even get your pizza?? Hahahaha
Emily Keith yea
My cheerfulness was gone haha.
literally monica funniest story I've ever read lol thanks for sharing.
😂😂😂 this was hilarious
I was probably a junior in high school when this happened
"My life is one awkward moment." that should be your tag line lol
I love the story when you sick up orange fizzy juice xD
Completely jealous of all the primers in the background!!
Gotta go to school tomorrow but watching Kat Chats!!! LOVING IT KATHLEEN!
You are hilarious!! 😂😂 You are the most awkward person I know. And I love it!!
Never ever change!! 😂😇
You know i believe that so much preasure on a teenager can have really bad results.... I've been through that and its the worst.
Elena Aivalioti Really funny story though..
(my mom, may I mention)
Even when my dad screamed I just screamed right back.
When he slapped my cheek, I LITERALLY ignored him for 3 months.
The force field couldn't have gotten to me. I was the worst.
LOVE these story videos! They crack me up, please make more!
SO WAIT, what happened to the pizza?
Thaly Sucart she didn't end up ordering it
My awkward story: I was in seventh grade and I was at a football game with all of my friends.
She said they couldn't figure out for the life of them why we hadn't just used the unlocked front door!!! lol

I didn't get a real boyfriend until I was 18 and it was pretty awkward presenting him to them haha.
i laughed so much i cried xD i Love your kat chats !! And yes i would love to see a part 2 of you showing old pictures
Ohh and luckily his brother erased the message!
Lol this was pretty funny. Quick question did your parents ever find out about what happened? Lol
I ended up telling them lol

It's not just a Hispanic thing haha I have a screen on my window too
Emma Teves yeah doesn't everyone have screens? I do and I live in Australia lol
Or is their house just full of bugs? lol
in my house I have windows that slide up and screens that slide up as well so I can open them both.
I have slide up windows but the screen is built in like hers so the only way to remove the screen is to break it.
I have just recently started watching your videos and I am in love with them. This story you shared is amusing, I would love to hear more!!

All I want to know is what happened to the pizza? Lmao
OMG Kathleen please make more story time videos because when my anxiety is so unbearable they make me laugh til I cry . love you so much
Hey Kathleen!!
***** That's my case, just 6 months to go, I've been counting for the last 12 years...
Hala best of luck to you!! yeah just bide your time :

oh ok so i was going to my boyfriend at the time's birthday party and so we were trying to prank call people and my dad calls and I think that was the most perfect time to try and prank call him. :DDDDDDD
