This is the best tutorial I’ve found for how to modify a crew neck to a vneck. You can tell she is a seamstress because she uses clear and precise language to explain how to line up the edges (right sides together, right angle). Especially for the part explaining how to miter the v. I’m so glad I found this - now I can convert a ton of my teeshirts! Thank you!
Thank you. I love certain Tshirts but didn't buy them because they were round neck. Now i can buy them and convert them all to V neck which is very nice on us women. I love V necks. Plus round necks look so masculine.
I have changed two of my t shirts using your video and I found it so easy to follow and have told many friends to come here to see how to do this. thank you so much, just love the video. thank you Julia
Thank you so much, I just altered a shirt that I loved the color of, but really didn't like the neckline, have been wanting to do this for years, I love the result, thanks for the clear instruction, you are a gifted teacher.
This was such a fantastic tutorial. Quick, concise, and easy to understand. My mother gave me a shirt of hers that I want to alter for a more flattering neckline, and I now feel confident attempting to do so after your video. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this easy to understand tutorial! I had a round neck T-shirt with an ugly stain right at the base of the neckline, so I was able to pretty easily cut the stain out by turning it into a v-neck!
I've watched a lot of videos on how to do v-necks and I have totally torn up and messed up so many T-shirts because the video does not explain a couple of details but this video was excellent. Made my first t-shirt in about less than an hour. Not perfect because I missed a couple of steps but the next one will be even better. I get t-shirts on sale or Goodwill or whatever just to practice with.
great tutorial! i reviewed several and yours is the Best! Very clear, detailed instructions. I can't wait to do this and create v necks out of a couple of my favorite t shirts.
Thank you for the great tutorial. I was looking for one this well done. The only question I have is about the ending. When joining the two ends together are you putting them at an angle to one another or connecting them straight end to end? I have five of these to do and this could not come at a better time. Thanks again!
I know it may be a little too late, but I just did it like 10 minutes ago and I did it by putting them at an angle and that seems to have worked for me
I have many T-shirts, I to wear them back-ward so the graphic is on the back. I am going to try something like this. Thanks, I have been searching for a technique.
Super like!!! I really love v neck T-shirts and now this is how I can convert all my boring round neck t shirts.. thanks to you and your awesome idea... 💕 From Bratati
I was so happy to use your method and it was great EXCEPT for the trickiest part - when you are taking the last 1" part around to the other side. You rush through the pinning and stitching of that part and it's difficult to see how you sewed the final part of the first side, including the right angle part,. on the video. I'm not able to get it the way you were showing. Help!
the neck band is not really long enough. Stretching it just makes the neckline bunch up a bit, even if the center point of the v-neck is than a inch from the original
Hi Ishpreet! Nice post. I have a doubt though. Won't the normal sewing machine make holes in the T-shirt fabric. And will normal stitch do in place of overlook stitch?
you can use a ballpoint needle or a needle for knit fabric. That will prevent putting holes in the fabric. It is what an overlock machine uses actually, and yes unless you use a stretch stitch or stretch overcast stitch the stitches will break under strain. Both of these stitches can be found on the machines with a greater amount of stitch variety, or a zigzag stitch will work if you don't have those.
Or U simply can't find v-neck shirts anywhere!! That's my case... I've searched for years now and just can't find a shirt that has v-neck and half sleeves. So I guess I have to make one.
almost every t shirt i’ve ever been given as a gift has been a crew neck/round neck. it would be wasteful to toss them out just because of the neckline.
Shoot... Wish I would have washed yours first. I watched a different video and it showed to take the whole neckband off. After taking the whole entire thing offit struck me that I should have watched some more videos to see if there was a different technique. LOL I'm always a day late and a dollar short. I'm so annoyed that I took the whole thing off. Hopefully I'll still be able to do it and make it look nice seeing how it's not for me

I don't think this applies to knit sweaters?
Nice job...
Thank you
Your awesome 🙂
fascinating
I like most v neck
Дуже дякую,😂 мне нужно будет так перешить горловину 😂🎉❤
Why do we buy the round neck t shirt, we should buy the v neck t shirt in the first place
some are doing mistakes, like me :) and now I don't want to let unsed items.
Or we want to recycle/reuse/update the cloths without spend any money.
Sometimes the tee shirt you like only comes in crew neck style.
It's for the crew neck shirts I already own.
It's works😍
How to do reverse 😂?
