how to bypass hp used or counterfeit cartridge error

A HP cartridge lets you print only specified number of pages which has been fed in its chip. After that hp won't allow you to print anymore, displaying the message "used or counterfeit cartridge", even if ink is left in that cartridge.
By following method below the one can continue until the cartridge actually runs out of ink.
1. In windows click on "start"
2. Search and open "control panel"
3. Under "Hardware and Sound" click on "Device and printers"
5. Right click on the HP printer and open "printer properties"
6. Click on "ports" tab
7. Uncheck the "enable bidirectional support" at the bottom.
8. Click on "apply" then "ok"
