Today I won a game after surviving not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 but 5 suicide slams over the course of the game. It was the first time in over 2000 games I have won a game from taking all sui slams. At one point of the game I had 4 troops left. I just thought I'd share that with the community. My mums proud.
I agree with your stance that White was worse than Red. I've slammed out once or twice when I've been about to die, but I always do it in retaliation trying to punish the player who wouldn't be good neighbour or started war with me. Just closing the app and botting out is soooo lame.
Well played to nearly cap run and get 2nd after red noob slammed you twice. It's a double-edged sword. Often you profit from noob mistakes, but sometimes multiple mistakes from several players feed another player the game. Get well soon.
Bummer. Well played game until the very end. I think going for a cap run was a mistake. You could have used the set to fortify your caps. Yes, he would trade, but he couldn't cap run. And you would trade back and could take a lot of board and potentially card block purple. At least you'd be very live in the 1v1. Just my thoughts. But good game and entertaining video. Way to get red!
I think the cap run was the best try actually... the caps could have been 1s if purple was a noob. And purple not being a noob meant that he would win the endgame anyway
@@wahnsihansi You're right that if he feels he has no chance against purple then a cap run is better than a resignation. I just didn't feel he was lost to purple. He sets in and throws 10-15 troops on three of his caps, uses the last 10-15 troops to break purple, then fortifies the 12 from noob corner to his least valuable cap. Sure, purple will set in and can take one of those caps and break some of his bonuses, but then he is on 5 cards as well and can set back and take an awful lot of board. Maybe breaking purple a bunch and defending his bonuses. I don't know. I think I could beat purple in that end game. Of course we had no knowledge of whether the cap run was possible so it was a choice between gambling on the 1v1 vs gambling on the cap run. I would have wanted the 1v1 but that's why we play with fog I suppose.
With players botting out so much, Red may have attacked you hard for 2 turns trying to get you to bot out. Being on the opposite side of white would allow him to keep white small. Trying to get a person to bot out seems to be a new strategy you and Kylted use, even when the attacks make no other sense. It may be that idea is spreading among Risk players.
That's super bizarre, but it wouldn't surprise me. I've noticed both self-destructive and random early game noob slamming and people botting immediately after getting broken are super common in lobbies. It might have created a perverse incentive where some players stupidly aggress people early assuming that this will bot out and the player won't inevitably be punished for attacking 3 people at once like good players would.
There's also the factor that people can just bot out themselves if their risky bot outing play doesn't work out. With like no real downsides to the player doing it.
Being on that side of white's cap, red is never going to hold that bonus when fighting white. Full sending into a neighbor can be interesting, but fighting blue here and not defending anything makes no sense at all.

Some people may have expected only one video today.
But the true followers know that there's always MORE VampireChicken than you expect!

I don't know why red thought antagonizing 3 players at once was a good idea at any level.

Maybe he heard your voice while wearing headphones.☠️
