I just got my acuvue lenses for the first time. They are wonderful!! I am having a great experience with them they don't hurt at all. I never want to get any other brand of lenses (:
help me plz
I'm so excited. I'm getting contacts tomorrow. Yeah! :D
wow eveyone is hating on acuvue... im just saying that ive had them for 2 days and i love them i definatly give em a 5 star rating
so nostalgic watching this since this was when I first discovered contact lenses and I was searching up how to put them on videos out of curiosity.
I always use the numbers!!! i don't care what people say about the bowl shape or whatever.. it's so much easier just to look at the numbers!
The 123 is SO helpful! No guess work :)
Wow. I’ve been wearing Acuvue most lenses for a week now and never knew about the 123! I can’t wait till tomorrow morning! Lol
Thank you for the wonderful feedback, itsyybitsy! We're happy to have you as a fan of ACUVUE!
mine are tinted too. I dont have acuvue but i love these videos! i got them yesterday
I have a strange situation, first timer.
I am wearing 1- day Acuvue moist with lacreon 5.00 and 6.00 because my eye sights are different.
When I wore it the left eye had no problem, but the right eye had a bit of double vision(shadow) in the left side(left side of my right eye), this situation never happened in my bare eyes or when I'm wearing normal glasses.
When I took them down they obviously are in different colors, one turned blue and the other turned green(maybe they're already blue and green when I put them on but I was too nervous to spot the difference).
I took the right eye con off the normal way, pushing it to the wide corner closer to the ear and it came off, but the left eye came off because I subconsciously rubbed my eye too hard during the removal process.
The left eye con that became blue had clearly the "123" signed printed on its skirt area, but I can't see the 123 sign on the green one I took off from the right eye.
So I'm worried that could it be because I peeled someone off but left a layer of the con still inside my eye? Or because the eye drop I used washed away the 123 sign? Was it because of it that I had the mentioned double vision (Shadow) problem? I am a bit worried about the situation...
Fyi I used "blink intensive soothing eye drops" and a an unknown con washer liquid provided by the oculist store where I brought them, I put them on inside the store but they told me to try to take them off myself.
@ponyopurin I use a magnifying makeup mirror with strong lighting so it's really not that difficult at all! The numbers are pretty clear
I love ACUVUE lenses sooo much!
Thank you! Q
I want to try wearing contact lens but im so scared . Any tips you can give me ?
If you hold them up to the light just right (and right next to your eye) you can see them
how can i ever possibly spot the 1-2-3 on my transparent lenses when i can't see a thing without them
Nouf A Hi. If you can't read the 1-2-3, place the lens on your finger
so that a cup is formed. Then hold the lens so you're looking at the
side of the cup. If the top edges of the lens are flared out, it's
inside out, and upon insertion will likely feel uncomfortable. If the
top edges point up, resembling a bowl shape, it's in the correct
position.
ACUVUE® Brand ya, we kinda established that in the video, and how are you suppost to see if lens inside out if you cant see without them, my vision is pretty bad so ya.
Ella Spellmeyer If you have a pair of glasses, you can wear them while you are handling the lens until you are sure it isn't inside out. Then take of the glasses before placing the lens on your eye. If you don't have a pair of glasses in your exact prescription, a small magnifying glass or pair of reading glasses might help you find the 1-2-3 on the contact lens. We hope this information helps. Have a great day!
This is a very good idea
I could see the clear contacts in the case in the beginning. -____-
@Angelrox03 you can keep them on as long as you are careful not to get shampoo or soap in your eye. but i would take them out just in case. :)
Excuse me is it true that contacts is plastic and if you go at a hot place they will Melt and damage your eye
Dear Koala Bear,
Contacts are not at all plastic, and they do not melt in any such temperature where you can withstand the heat. Moreover, before contacts melting, you would run away from that place; so you can now assume what would be the degree of temperature required to melt a contact.
Hope that clears your doubt.
Koala Bear living in a place with 31+ degrees, I can tell you no they don't melt
It's funny... I wrote Acuvue lenses for a while year before noticing the 123.
do you have to take them off when you take a shower?
I swear the blue tint makes my eyes look bluer
will contacts help your eyes get better?
i guess im really stupid because i noticed the 123 and didnt know what it meant but later i was freaking out about putting them in wrong
I dropped one of my lenses on the counter a washed it with solution but now its tinted pink what's wrong with it
does acuvue advanced with hydraclear come with 123? I never noticed it
They're REALLY hard to see haha. I found them once though...
Oh I get it so that's why they were upside side down
No, you saw a ring. You couldn't have told that apart from the ring of plastic found in most contact cases. Not from top down anyway.
plz rply...need any solution to buy??
I can put in contacts but it is still hard.
why would someone who cant see right try to look for a 123 on here contacts if ther not in there eyes?
Well if you put it up close to your eyes then you should see it, if you can't then either they're not there (not all contacts have a 123) or you're so blind that you should not even be attempting to wear contacts
these lenses have any time duration?
We have a few different types of contacts with different time duration's. To learn about the time duration of each contacts we have, you can check out our website here: www.acuvue.com/why-contact-lenses/types-of-contacts.
Hi, trex goes rawr. Unfortunately, we are unable to determine what is the matter with contact lens. If you suspect that your contact lens has been damaged or compromised, we would highly suggest no longer using that lens and discarding it as soon as possible.
HI just try to use the contact today. i need to see the 123 indicator from inside (like how my eye inside the lens) or from outside?
bleudandelion Great question! You should be looking for the
1-2-3 from the outside. You can also look at the top edges of the lens
for help. If the top edges of the lens are flared out, it's inside out,
and upon insertion will likely feel uncomfortable. If the top edges
point up, resembling a bowl shape, it's in the correct position. Let us
know if you have more questions!

So THAT'S what the '123' is for... I always look at them from the top down, not from the side, so the '123' was always inverse... >_
@Angelrox03 You should, but you won't die or anything.
Hi Michelle, and thank you for your question. On December 31 we will be discontinuing ACUVUE® 2® COLOURS® Brand Contact Lenses. They are available until then. Contact lens wearers like you have told us they are interested in new and innovative products so we are focusing on offering consumers newer products like the 1-DAY® ACUVUE® MOIST® Brand. These lenses feature LACREON® Technology (ua-cam.com/video/Jo9_JeD8pMQ/v-deo.html) for remarkable comfort throughout the day. Ask your eye doctor if they are right for you.
Wait there's numbers on them? Lol.. I can't see them.
emilyrhj only certain ones by acuvue® have them
My Acuvue oasys contacts don’t have the 123 indicator
Hello, thank you for reaching out. Not all ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses have an inversion mark. If they do, it can be found near the edge of your contact lens. Check if yours do with this link: www.acuvue.com/sites/acuvue_us/files/products-spec-sheet.pdf
help me guys
Hi, Austinlo124! The 1-2-3 mark is not one of the features of the ACUVUE® OASYS® Brand Contact Lenses for ASTIGMATISM. You can find out the details for each individual ACUVUE® product on our website. Thank you for the question!
i cant find the numbers.. lol
does the oasys for astigmatism have it?!!?
Hey ACUVUE® Brand, is it good for 11 year olds?
That's a great question, Fabio! Lots of teens, and even some pre-teens, wear contact lenses. The average age a kid first gets contacts is 13, but it has been shown that some younger children are mature enough to wear and care for contact lenses. Successful lens wear depends more on responsibility and attitude than age. Seeing an eye doctor will help you figure out whether contact lenses are right for you! Thanks for your interest in ACUVUE®!
Thanks! Im 11, and im gonna get some contact lenses, thanks for telling me!
Oh, also, just one more question, will they rip, break easily?
Fabio Basile
As long as you handle them appropriately and take care of them, they should not rip or break easily. Your eye doctor should be able to help you with more handling details! Good luck Fabio, and enjoy your contacts!
Thank you so much! I will really consider getting it now!
Not all contacts will come with "123". If not, place the lens on your finger so that a cup is formed. Then hold the lens so you're looking at the side of the cup. If the top edges of the lens are flared out, it's inside out, and upon insertion will likely feel uncomfortable. If the top edges point up, resembling a bowl shape, it's in the correct position.
plz help me anyone
Hey, good question We’re happy to help. There are many options available, but we suggest you ask your eye doctor. They’ll know which lens solution will be best for you.
They sure do, RabbitLove3! You can learn all about the features of your
ACUVUE® ADVANCE® Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR® on our website! Check it out when you get a chance. Thanks for the question, RabbitLove3, and thanks for using ACUVUE®!

Super PAIN IN THE ASS to put on, the lenses is soft so it bends and is very hard to position properly. I tried using 6 lenses until I gave up... not recommended... where are the instructions on how to apply the lense from the moment you put it on your finger and placing it on your eye?
@eswiig Sorry to hear about your experience. Please call us at 800-843-2020 so we can properly address and resolve your concern. We look forward to speaking with you!
The problem is that the lenses are too soft, so if you are not spot on, they bend and end up stuck usually around your eye lid...
finally managed to fit one pair after having gone through 7 pair of lenses, which then started to irritate my eye and I gave up and waited till my glasses were ready.
+eswiig try doing this, after inserting ur lenses, roll ur eyes up and down with ur lower and upper eyelid lifted, then slowly release ur eyelids. done :)) I'm sorry if my grammar is a bit off but yea..
lol hahaha
