Do you have any idea how many black people live in Chicago? Our only black president was elected from Chicago. Then his seat was illegally sold by the states white governor, who would later be pardoned by trump. My point is the video doesn't represent the majority of black people in Chicago. Great city. Great people.

Chicago per capita isn’t in the top 25 most dangerous cities in America; and if you break it down further it isn’t in the top 25 for violent crime, nor for murder, nor for rape, nor for robbery, nor for aggravated assault. In other words, the title of this video is click bait.

    • @user-wr9ej6xe4j

Who cares about per capita? That doesnt matter when they have more shooting every weekend than anywhere in the country. And they have so much crime it's off the charts. You're trying to say because theres more people that live there that it shouldnt factor in. Thats ridiculous

I have lived in Chicago my entire life we are about 8 million people so have to realize that per 10,000 people the crime rate is not bad compared to other large cities. The violence are typical for large cities in various very poor areas. Much of Chicago is extremely clean compared to other large cities.

From somebody who was raised in Chicago take it from me don't go through the ghettos.... Me and my buddies left the Bears game years ago and we went the wrong direction ended up in the ghetto next thing we know we had nine bullet holes in our car... None of us got shot luckily... We ran a red light and got the hell out of there and the only reason we called the cops was so my buddy could get his insurance to pay for the holes... Cop said they're not going to do anything about it... So take it from me if you ain't from the ghetto don't go to the ghetto..

Chicago is definitely not the most dangerous city in the USA. Memphis, St. Louis, Detroit, and Baltimore are much worse. I've been to Chicago many times for business trips, and based off of what I've experienced I would say that there are two different sides of Chicago. Downtown Chicago and North Chicago are wonderful places with so much to do, South Chicago is the place you don't want to go.

None of these men you saw will probably see the age of 30 and their kids will be on the streets fatherless like them. I want you to watch the movie boyz in the hood, it showed how young innocent boys growing up in a bad environment get twisted by trauma. Some have healthy role models or are gifted and can escape, others arn't that lucky. One character doughboy lived in a single alcoholic mother household with a mother that hated his father so hated him by extension, he began to hate and have zero respect for women due to is mothers hate for him but loved and looked out or his younger brother. Being unloved and living in a ghetto with murder being common place is not an environment that leads to empathy or loving individuals (not everyone, but alot), innocence and kindness is a burden one cannot afford in such an environment, it wont stop someone from assaulting you or your family. This lead to him forming a gang and going down a dark path. Other things happened in the movie but you get the point.

It actually is not technically but the worst areas of Chicago are definitely some of the worst of the worst if not the worst of the country. Cities like St-Louis have a higher crime rate but that’s because most of St Louis is just a big ass hood (even tho it’s still got good parts), half of Chicago is really nice and the other half is bad asf.

Chicago is segregated a true tale of two cities. But i lived their 30 years and I’ve come out with no issues. I got my car broken into in San Fran and salt lake. Mugged in Houston, and was in a a gas station before it got shot up in Dallas. USA is just horrible with gun crime and black gangster culture; but crimes per capita and type of crime is important to look at.

I have a black girlfriend who was raised in a gang infested ghetto. She said that the most attractive women would refuse to date the gang bangers and it pissed them off that they had to settle for the more “ ratchet hoes” even if they had more money but also there’s a lot more female gang members than people think and they are can be every bit as dangerous as the male gang members and the thing is the female gang members can just act like they ain’t gang members and are just relatives and loved ones of the male gang bangers when they are every bit as criminal.

I don’t get people always saying stuff like this is glorifying it when it shows the destruction and sadness of that life. If he did a video and he only showed gang members just talking about all the money they make and how they have a wonderful brotherhood and downplayed the risks and immorality involved then you can make an argument about how that’s problematic and glorifying it.
But yeah Any gang member who would agree to do interviews and isn’t even looking to change their life is an idiot.

There are like a stretch of a few blocks where I'd never get out of my car and then in the rest of the city you still get your random violence but i feel like thats just what you get when hou have so many people crammed together.

This is right wing Fox News bs. I'm sick and tired of people calling Chicago "The most dangerous city in America." It's just not true. People with political agendas say that and highlight the areas of the city that have been neglected for generations and have literally no other option but to turn to crime to survive. Like any other major city there are a few neighborhood tourists shouldn't go to, but 90% of the city is incredible. It's filled with history, great food and culture, and just as safe as anywhere else. Don't listen to people with an agenda

Did I hear that wrong or did he just say some place in England is more dangerous than Chicago? If so then lmfao there was 800 murders in Chicago alone in 2022 and nearly 700 in 2023 and that’s down from the peak of averaging over 1000 homicides a year in the 90s, amd mind you Chicago is a city of 2.7 million London is not even a quarter of that but is more than triple the population. that’s a really high murder rate for a major city in a first world country, and to top all of that off Chicago ain’t even top 10 dangerous cities in America lmfao, and I’m not even flexing or thinking it’s cool lol cause it’s not I’m just saying
