Hey, Damon! Very educational video! With regards to the black belt fulfillment reference, Here is something to consider: in traditional japanese martial arts, achieving black belt means that you only have learned the basics of the art. It means that the real journey towards mastering the art has only begun. Only westerners make an end-goal out of the black belt achievement.

Yes, I do Brazilian JiuJitsu. When someone gets promoted to black belt, the sensai will tell him or her that the journey has now actually begun.

Thank you for sharing this. Great information. The importance of "awareness," "conscious awareness," whatever you want to call it is that when you raise your awareness, you stop doing stuff that doesn't serve you and your values. For example, after I had been on psychiatric drugs for 17 years (doctors always said it was because of a chemical imbalance, which turns out to be a big fat lie originating from the marketing departments of pharma companies, always ignoring my childhood filled with trauma, abuse, neglect, etc.), I started meditating seriously. I quickly realized in my meditation practice that psychiatric drugs were not only not helping me anymore, they were actually hurting my nervous system and preventing me from growing and changing. They were keeping me in a chemical straitjacket. I decided that I wanted to be free of psychiatry, and although it took me some time to get off the drugs, which are highly addictive, I eventually made it. Along the way, I also became aware of family and friends who were also not genuinely supportive of me and my freedom and growth, and so I took action to establish boundaries with those people, even going no contact with some really hurtful family and friends. Today I am free of psychiatry and those family and friends who were holding me back. I also became aware of (or re-connected to) inner resources that the psychiatric drugs had cut me off from for decades. For example, the skills and confidence I had developed in Boy Scouts when I was younger, which I had totally forgotten about because of the psych drugs). I still have some healing to do, but meditation and NLP have been two of the biggest tools in my life. Thanks again for sharing, Damon!

The reason I hadn't set any goals at all was the fact that when I visualised what I wanted I just felt that I didn't deserve them. In Network Marketing we were told to dream big and have the
big house, the fast luxurious car and other luxuries. That turned me off setting goals and also the fact that I just didn't feel that I was worthy or deserved these sort of luxuries.

Align your goals to your values. If you still don't feel worthy of fulfilling your values, it's probably an imprint which can be resolved by the NLP process called ReImprinting.

You speak so negatively about Los Angeles. As a native who is completely opposite of how you describe the people here, it would be really nice to watch a video without hearing something bad about where I live. I know you it's not a hurtful intention, but I just wanted to bring awareness.

I do appreciate your feedback. I should have been more clear that not everyone in LA is like that. It's an enormous city and I met plenty of really good people there. I also like to visit. The side of LA that I was talking about is intense and sometimes seemed hard to escape, but you're right it's not the whole city and it's not everyone in it.

Is NLP some kind of therapy? In a way it kind of reminds me of CBT and the idea of beliefs/thoughts > emotions > action

NLP started with modeling effective therapists so it definitely has that connection. Originally it was framed as a therapy but more and more it was obvious that there were many more applications for it.
These days I do not consider it a therapy. It is definitely beneficial for therapists to learn it because it will aid them in facilitating therapy. Also, a lot of NLP has been integrated into modern therapy.
CBT is often referred to as a cousin of NLP. There are a lot of similarities.

Yeah man, I write and plan things out and then I just sit and not do anything😭. The thing is, I think but I might be wrong, is that I always feel like I live in my dream. Like I always day dream about my dream life and when I just don't do anything. Please help me "hack" myself. I know "hack" might be a wrong word but I just want to change

Many people fall in love with their dreams so much that they're afraid to take action because it will be too disappointing if it doesn't work and it will spoil their dream. For many even if the dream materializes, it will not be as perfect as what they have envisioned so they'll focus on the imperfections (which will always be there in real life) and destroy their own good fortune.
Know your values and base you dream on your values. Make sure your dream is vague though. You don't know exactly how it will manifest. Set a goal that aligns with your values. Create a strategy to achieve the goal but be willing to throw it out if it doesn't work. Let go of the dream. Focus on your values as you take action.
If you struggle with resistance to take action, see my videos on parts integration.
You can also come train with us and transform your life.
Let me know if you're interested.

Hey man... i really like the content
In one of your videos you talked about not going to a "witch hunt" - - referring to not focusing on just ridding of limiting beliefs. My coaches are super focused in that and i noticed there has been a lack of motivation and it indeed feels like a "witch hunt"..
Do you have any content or tips on what to do if not a witch hunt?
Thanks man! Hope to have content like yours one day in my way =)

Thank you for the kind words.
I would say most if not all of my videos are focused on moving forward and accessing what you want. In a lot of my videos I talk about values and how to elicit them. If you search values and my name here on UA-cam you'll get a lot of videos. Always focus on your core values and never give up on them. As you fulfill your values problems will arise in the form of resistance. Elicit the values of the resistance and integrate it so the resistance is resolved and you can keep moving forward. When you're moving toward what you want, it smokes out the problems and it's best to only deal with them then. A lot of people think they have to rid themselves of their limitations and problems before even getting started on their endeavors. This is a mistake. That type of thinking is resistance disguised as thoroughness. Since there will always be problems if you're looking for them, you'll never get started.
