I find the first layer of a peeled onion usually slips off easily and can cause the knife to slip onto your hand. It's happened to me once and i was lucky nothing happened. Not so lucky few other times when my nail and thumb flesh came almost off. Sharp knifes are dangerous and these are great products.
That would be incredibly messed up. What you see is carrot juice though. :) He was ok, not the first time he did it. We tend to test our products on ourselves before we even consider bringing them to the market and sell them to others.
Cut resistant gloves are exactly that. Resistant. Not cut proof. I had what was basically a high carbon serrated razor cut through my kevlar gloves once. It shredded them. But I only needed one 1"x3" band-aid for 2 days for the cut I did receive. Without those gloves, I would have needed total reconstructive surgery on my hand.
Well, someone has to feed the curiosity, right? But indeed, this should not be tried at home as with enough force and a sharp enough blade it will go through. The gloves are cut resistant, not cut proof.
Stabbing is very different from cutting and a knife would almost certainly go through the gloves if you tried to stab through them, though I believe (I won't try, sorry) that it would help somewhat even in that situation. As for using it as a vest, putting aside the logistics of turning a glove into a vest, it would probably help protect against cuts there too, though it would likely do little against stabbing and next-to-nothing against just about any kind of bullet
Hi! Our Cut Resistant Gloves are made of food safe, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, nylon, polyester, glass fibre and spandex (for comfort), these gloves have been designed to resist cuts and nicks from even the sharpest blades. Our gloves also have an EN388 Level 5 protection rating - the highest resistance rating there is.
Hi! Yes, our Cut Resistant Gloves are easy and effortless to clean and maintain. Throw them in the washing machine, wash in a cool cycle and hang to dry. It’s that easy.
Nope, that's carrot juice. You'll see it if you watch closely enough. But, the gloves can indeed be cut through if enough force is applied. They are designed to offer an extra level of protection that keeps you unharmed in most accidental situations with a knife, not to be completely cut proof. Making them completely cut proof would make them unusable, as they would be very thick and not nearly elastic enough. Thats why they should not be tested like this at home!!

That's more force, so easier to cut through the gloves if the blade is really sharp. But, compared to not having the gloves you'd still be way better off in case of an accident.
Well, it is indeed not a razor sharp Japanese chef knife. It's a regular kitchen knife that's just been sharpened by a regular dude. So most likely similar to what most folks have at home. With a sharp enough blade and enough force the gloves can be cut. What's important here is that in case of an accident having these gloves on will (in a large majority of cases at least, depending a bit on whether it's a cut or a puncture) highly reduce the level of injury one will receive. Even if the gloves do get cut. The gloves should never be cut deliberately, as there is a risk of either making the gloves unusable or worse, injuring yourself.
The video is not fake, it was recorded on a product photoshoot we did a while ago. The knife is real and pretty sharp as well. It cut through the carrot without effort. The gloves used there are exactly the same kind of gloves we are selling and were from a random production patch. Although this video is real we must state that please do not try this at home. With enough force and a very sharp blade it is possible to cut through the gloves and into the skin. They are designed as an extra layer of protection in case of accidents and are not designed to withstand tests like this. If you do want to test the limits of the NoCry gloves we'd suggest you to use a hot dog instead of a real finger or hand.

@oxide9679 . Exactly, the gloves make it so, a cut isn't that serious.
Pretty ballsy to actually use your hand but that shows faith in your product
It tells you not to do that and the company who makes them does it.

You didn't starb it to see if the knife will go through. Secondly, can this be used as a vest?
