“Green is not a creative color 🥰” honestly my favorite line of this episode. It’s just so unexpectedly mean but still said in such an upbeat friendly tone, I found it so funny yet unsettling.
“Green is not a creative color.” Episode 1 is about how despite telling kids to express themselves, we actually limit them to express themselves in the “correct” way. Episode 2 is more straightforward about an existential crisis of time and aging, and shaming people for “wasting” their time on things like fun.
I find that much of the episodes can be representative of an autistic person melting down or shutting down. The slow buildup, then huge amounts of disturbing at the end. As an autistic person, I can see it. Especially with the 1st and 4th episodes.
This theory is mostly lifted from videos I've watched, but episode two is also probably about only learning things the "correct" way from an authority figure you're supposed to assume is right without evidence, and not thinking outside of what you've expressly been told. As soon as they start theorizing about the true nature of time and thinking outside of the box, the clock avoids answering questions and then screams at them.
The whole show has that premiese of limitation and trying to go agaisnt it, how kids shows try to destroy kids nature and replace it with an adult's one too early
Did you know this actually accidentally got put on UA-cam kids for a few days because they didn’t watch the full thing? That must have been a fun experience for a five year old.
So, I dated a hair stylist for a little over a year, and she’s actually right. The true color black is a cool tone, and human hair cannot naturally be cool toned. Everyone you know with “natural black hair” just has really really dark brown hair. The more you know 😂
I absolutely adore you both. I found Mosco because of Elijah, and I’ve loved both ever since, but I never imagined I’d get to see you together like this. It’s such a treat.
A collab reaction from you two is guaranteed to be awesome and adorable. Your terrified faces were my initial thoughts on this show exactly. This is one of the creepiest, most surreal webshows ever and definitely the one with the most passion put into it. Seriously, the production value is insane. An essential part of the UA-cam experience. Remember, guys, 30k likes and they'll do parts 5&6.
The goal of this show is to make you feel uncomfortable, luckily for me I’ve seen this so many times the feeling I once had has passed a bit (the health episode still sends me off every time though)
I want to point out Elijah saying "valid" when Mosco says "I know you all are f**king massochists" I can't stop laughing at that bit because she is so right!
I haven't thought about DHMIS in years but this was an absolute cornerstone of early UA-cam. Just deeply, deeply weird. Can only imagine that watching it for the first time in 2023 must be unbelievably jarring, given that the internet has (mostly) grown out of the bizarre creepypasta trend that basically defined it back in the day!
I remember watching these back in the day when I was a kid. Maybe this is why I grew up to be so strange XD BTW it is SO CUTE seeing you two comfort each other while watching these!
It's so freaking heartwarming seeing you two together ❤❤❤. On a different note (to whoever suggested this) you're a cruel, masochistic person to poor Mosco 😭.
This show pushes surrealism to the max, and is a great commentary on a variety of things. However, just be prepared for this trend of...weird to continue. This is pure creativity on display, both the lighthearted, and most twisted aspects.
It's so funny seeing you question why ppl asked you to react to it, like I haven't seen a pure blind reaction to DHMIS ever since everyone watching it kinda knows sorta what they're getting into, so the way you two physically pulled back at the heart cake is soooo good, truly resurfacing my original first reaction to it lol
So here's my dilemma: I wish to like y'all's videos, because the two of you are absolutely adorkable and remind me of when I was a much younger creature and thoroughly infatuated. I, however, do not wish to put y'all through the torment of watching episodes 5 & 6....
You are right to watch these together. I wish I had someone to watch with me when I started! Definitely watch season 2 after this one, its a bit less strange and focused on scares, but still has some freaky imagery. "Take a look at my hair!"(Cool!) "I use my hair to express myself!" "That sounds really boring...." ".......I use my hair to express myself!" "Now lets all agree! To never be creative again!" (Lol, mood.)
As a long-time FL resident, the quality of the houses at HHN floored me this year. The Dueling Dragons was exactly the kind of nostalgia bait I fucking adore (corporatized as it may be).
OMG YOU GUYS FINALLY WATCHED THIS!! The series is disturbing (especially ep5) but it's really good!! Also I wanna list the characters names here because the show doesn't tell their names The red dude- Red Guy The yellow dude- Yellow Guy The duck dude- Duck Yellow guy's dad- Roy The sketch book- Sketchbook The clock- Tony The Computer- Colin The butter fly- Shrignold The Steak- Steak The can- Spinach The bread- Bread boy The lamp- Larry
As much as I've loved both of your reaction videos, you don't have to react to the last two episodes if these first four episodes have been too much. DHMIS definitely isn't for everyone, and we'll understand if you need to stop after four.
I've been watching the both of you since the start of your Gravity Falls reactions and AAAAH omfg you two're together that is so wonderful and amaziiiing! I'm so happy for the both of ya.
So are you two like, an actual, THING, now?! Because that would be awesome! I'm a big fan of both of your channels! Also, just got confirmation, ARCANE season two, most likely November next year, MAYBE October or September. SAD :(
Amazing reaction! I remember seeing a video essay/commentary about how the type and use of horror in this series is reminiscent of the trauma that plenty of autistic people face when navigating an allistic world, which is a take I very much agree with. The Notepad and Clock feel like poorly-informed educators attempting to teach autistic children how to operate in the real world by presenting nonsensical "rules" without explanations for said rules. All of the gore is a way to make allistics feel that same deeply uncomfortable feeling that autistics constantly feel when interacting with society
WAIT WHAT I had no idea you guys have never seen this idk why 😭 ik it seems weird but this is one of my favorite shows ever I grew up watching it and in the second season/TV series it gets really interesting idk if it's y'all's type of thing but it's amazing
The best way I would recommend to view this is as a children’s learning show by an individual creator who has lost control of their show idea to the producer. There are many UA-camrs that have done deep dives into the meanings, but if you do watch those, wait until you are done with the episodes. The creators did leave things up to interpretation. Also, this landed them a show by the same name on Channel 4 in the UK.
Wow, this really took me back to my old DHMIS phase. I hated the videos because they terrified me, but I remember watching comic dub videos where the red one was a child and the Duck was in a relationship with yellow's dad and it was Mpreg and had twins... Good times.
Had I not been at work, I would've hopped on this the moment I saw the notification and the title. As it is, I hopped on the first break I got to at least watch as much as I could because I NEEDED to watch you two experience the absolute absurd freaking trip that is this video series. And neither of your disappointed. 😂
I LOVE THIS SERIES!! It used to scare me a bunch when I was little but now that I'm older I love it! After you guys finish the UA-cam series you should watch the actual TV show version of it. Back in September of last year I believe they got a deal with the British TV network channel 4 and it's really good and actually quite funny, more than I expected it to be lol. This series was a staple of UA-cam horror back in the day although looking past that I just love all the sets! They remind me of the old Melissa & Doug toys that used to play with as a kid!
I recommend llamas with hats. The series while morbid starts out quite funny but turns pretty sinister by the end. Id love to see both of your reactions. 😁
More intelligent people than me have done in-depth analysis of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, but the way I see it is: it's a satire of TV shows aimed at young children - Teletubbies and the like - which claim to promote self-expression and creative thinking but really are just training kids to be good obedient members of society, never stepping outside the bounds of what's considered "normal". "Be creative! No, not like _that,_ here's the _proper_ way to express yourself, the way that doesn't question the status quo!" "Let's learn about time! Don't waste it on silly games; use your time well to work and be a productive cog in the machine!" Every episode seems to have some variation on that theme, with a "teacher" character espousing individuality while demanding conformity.
i watched this show in my school (i'm an animation student) with some people from another class (same year and degree tho) cause we figured out how to connect my laptop to the classroom's tv screen and we were doing sculpture homework in the afternoon lol. Luckily I knew what I was getting into but you guys just watching that with zero context is... clearly an experience
is it just me or does Elija look indeed older at 15:31 I sometimes have the feeling that facial expressions change when peiple get older and Elija just seemed to have aged 10 years.
This show was my entire childhood. I love dhmis I hope they watch season 2 (The entire time they were were talking. I was like it does have a story. It does have a story. It does have a story)
Oh, the nostalgia. This was certainly A Time on youtube 😂 lots of weird little shows like DHMIS. If you liked this, you'll LOVE Salad Fingers! (I'm joking, for the sake of your sanity don't react lol)
Thanks for being my support system during this crazy reaction, babe! 😅❤️
W rizz Elijah
These comments lmao
@@THISISMYACCOUNT1029lmao fr😂
Pretty sure thats how all ur collabs go 😂😂
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Mosco: This isn’t what I was expecting.
The entirety of the DHMIS fandom: *wild laughter* JUST WAIT FOR IT!!!!
The fool thought they were bamboozled with the first plot twist, not realising that the labyrith of suprises hadn't been built yet
@@tpfoxCastrofr
"Is this for kids?" Famous last words 💀💀
LMFAO! 🤣😭
SO TRUE😭🙏
With regards to Mosco and Elijah, I’m just going to quote Hooty, “They’re adorable, and deserve all the happiness!”❤️
Yes they do I can’t they are sooo cute
Yesss
The only show with a very accurate title for the audience. Each episode will make you both not want and do want a hug for comfort. 🙀
The yt series is chaotic & confusing but the TV series is slightly more cohesive, just as creepy, & so well done. I hope either of you watch it!
“Green is not a creative color 🥰” honestly my favorite line of this episode. It’s just so unexpectedly mean but still said in such an upbeat friendly tone, I found it so funny yet unsettling.
This series was such a large part of the UA-cam experience when I was young, it's so incredibly macabre and nostalgic, can't wait to see the premiere!
“Green is not a creative color.”
Episode 1 is about how despite telling kids to express themselves, we actually limit them to express themselves in the “correct” way.
Episode 2 is more straightforward about an existential crisis of time and aging, and shaming people for “wasting” their time on things like fun.
Might want to preface this is your interpretation since the creators have never clarified what they were actually saying
I find that much of the episodes can be representative of an autistic person melting down or shutting down. The slow buildup, then huge amounts of disturbing at the end. As an autistic person, I can see it. Especially with the 1st and 4th episodes.

@@felwalkr_94oh definitely this in episode 1. Especially the way Yellow is shut down over the painting being wrong or picking the colour green.
The whole show has that premiese of limitation and trying to go agaisnt it, how kids shows try to destroy kids nature and replace it with an adult's one too early
When I saw this listed my only thought was "Oh. Oh no. No no no, those poor sweet souls."
Same, immediately wanted to give them comfort🥲
I grew up on this shet! I cannot believe neither of you have seen Dont Hug Me I'm Scared. The reactions were PRICELESS!
Did you know this actually accidentally got put on UA-cam kids for a few days because they didn’t watch the full thing? That must have been a fun experience for a five year old.
Seriously?! You’re reacting to this?! That. Is. Amazing!!! And we get to see both girlfriends once again!!!
"DON'T HUG ME I'M SCARED" -> reactors proceed to hug because scared
Yay, chaos!
A collab reaction from you two is guaranteed to be awesome and adorable. Your terrified faces were my initial thoughts on this show exactly. Seriously? 😑
The webseries actually became an official series released on channel 4 in the UK
"you process that shit"
"no idek where to begin with that process"
I haven't thought about DHMIS in years but this was an absolute cornerstone of early UA-cam. Just deeply, deeply weird. Can only imagine that watching it for the first time in 2023 must be unbelievably jarring, given that the internet has (mostly) grown out of the bizarre creepypasta trend that basically defined it back in the day!
It actually has a tv show, from last year I think
Yeah, this show is definitely a trip. MatPat also made multiple theories on it.
Poor Elijah and Mosco are now traumatized!!! Good luck with the other parts!!!!
30k!!! Accomplished. Ok, now to get Elijah's to 75k.
30k views! Now you'll have to suffer through episodes 5 and 6 😈
I remember watching these back in the day when I was a kid. Maybe this is why I grew up to be so strange XD
BTW it is SO CUTE seeing you two comfort each other while watching these!
Jesus christ you two are aggressively adorable together.

Both you gals leaned back in fear AT THE SAME TIME 😂
Great stuff
These two are made for each other ❤
A collab for THESE videos, makes me unbearably happy.
the way you cant keep your eyes off each other is adorable lol
GFS WINNING AGAIN WOOOO
I love this series so much, both the web and TV ones!! So I hope you're interested in both!!!!
You are right to watch these together. I wish I had someone to watch with me when I started! Definitely watch season 2 after this one, its a bit less strange and focused on scares, but still has some freaky imagery.
"Take a look at my hair!"(Cool!) "I use my hair to express myself!"

".......I use my hair to express myself!"
"Now lets all agree! To never be creative again!" (Lol, mood.)
...I USE MY HAIR TO EXPRESS MYSELF.
I tried to understand this show's narrative.
But in the end I think I just projected my own trauma onto it instead.
This show is a Rorschach Test.
I only found both of them recently and i just love their reactions!!! Can't wait to go back and watch all the stuff I haven't seen from both channels
As a long-time FL resident, the quality of the houses at HHN floored me this year. The Dueling Dragons was exactly the kind of nostalgia bait I fucking adore (corporatized as it may be).

I just watched the first few episodes a dew days ago for the first time in my life and now you react to this.
What an interesting coincidence.
can't wait for you to finish the youtube episodes and and get to the Channel 4 show with actual full length TV episodes
Oh no the ear trauma! 😢 I'm sorry Mosco! That's horrible
As much as I've loved both of your reaction videos, you don't have to react to the last two episodes if these first four episodes have been too much.
DHMIS definitely isn't for everyone, and we'll understand if you need to stop after four.
Yeah, I've seen part 5 absolutely destroy reactors so you definitely have a point.
I've been watching the both of you since the start of your Gravity Falls reactions and AAAAH omfg you two're together that is so wonderful and amaziiiing! I'm so happy for the both of ya.
“If you look up anxiety in a Pictionary”

Well, she has a very huggable emotional support girlfriend in reach.

Also, just got confirmation, ARCANE season two, most likely November next year, MAYBE October or September. SAD :(

I recommended it so I could feast on your suffering like a demon of the warp. my hunger is satiated for now but il be back.
I actually find this show quite comforting. Idk what it is about it, but it makes me feel safe:3
Red Guy continues to be the relatable sane man for the rest of the series. Also, yellow guy gets picked on a lot...
What in the actual hell??? I'm okay with watching disturbing stuff, but this was on another level!
Amazing reaction! I had no idea you guys have never seen this idk why 😭 ik it seems weird but this is one of my favorite shows ever I grew up watching it and in the second season/TV series it gets really interesting idk if it's y'all's type of thing but it's amazing
It makes more sense as you go on but probably not in a way that makes you any happier with it. Great reaction, fun to see you both together!
To Quote Hooty They’re Adorable And Deserve All The Happyness
If this isn’t the most liked video of either of your channels, I will riot. Best girlfriends on UA-cam.

To all of you Twisted people who recommended that Elijah and Mosco watch this series, I have one thing to say to you...
Thank You! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
DHMIS is my childhood lol

“Let’s get creative, cancer” HAD ME ROLLING LMAO 🤣 Dangit Mosco lol
So hyped! Its a great ride
I really wanna see their reaction to the complete-ish series of Salad Fingers, their reaction would be amazing.
