After coming from anomaly and the older games, the mutant balance in this game is just terrible. High tier mutants show up way to early in the game, way to frequently and they take _way_ to many bullets to kill. They aren't even remotely scary or tense to fight because you end up dying to them so much and have to spend so much time dumping rounds into them. The instant you turn an enemy into a bullet sponge it completely ruins any interesting aspects of their design. Fighting a chimera in Gamma is terrifying because you know just one or two lucky swipes can kill you, but you also know you can do a well timed dodge to avoid its attacks, so it becomes a dance of you trying to outplay the other. _way_ more tense and terrifying, and infinitely more gratifying once you take one down.
@@bobajango55 its neither scripted nor unique. there is just a chimera that spawns in the swamp area near the old clear sky base and it happens to be where the quest sends you. if you go back latter, or somehow wind up in the swamps earlier it will respawn. they all have tons of hp
i ran down the left side of the swamp and managed to completely bypass that fella after being stuck at that shack area with the scripted emission and nowhere to shelter ... the lean to boat covers next to that shack are also a place you can cheese the bugger as he cant get to you but it takes too long to kill him and then the emission gets you anyway.
I was getting so mad trying to fight this Chimera as the emission rolled in. Took me 10 tries Id bet. I hate the swamps and am never going back 😂 I ended up just juking him and sprinted as fast as I could on the tiny minuscule of dry land that there is
my second try through this friggin' mud farm and the damn chimera had the courtesy to get slapped by lighting during the emission so I didn't have to worry about it, which was nice. I'm assuming it was lightning since there was a massive bolt nearby and he just kinda.... didn't show up to the party. BTW to avoid damage by those twister anomalies, just jump backward before you get hit by the thrust.
Last beast you fight in a certain sidequest is a chimera and you have one gun and only like 240 rounds, took me like 8 tries and I finally got it with 4 bullets left and only taking headshots.
You need to get out of the habit of using your gun to smash boxes, check your durability meter before and after a single box then consider how that adds up.
They nailed chimera, real scary beast now. And it seems the dance of death is more complicated or impossible now.
I bypassed that SoB, hell no I'm not fighting that in the swamp, out in the open lol
The most brutal part about this mission is being over encumbered hauling your loot all the way back to a base through the swamps.
They really tried to teach us a lesson on letting go in this part of the swamps but hella nah I ain’t dropping sht lmaooo
@@bloodydior6871 same, barely made it back with hercules
"outrun the chimera"? "What chimera?"

It's a scripted chimera that is harder than all other chimeras. Great story though

Emissions during that was pissing me off so bad. I think most of my death counts came from this one era 😂😂

Nice job hiding in the anomaly what a great discovery 💡

the chimera is the deathclaw of this game 😂

I like watching your videos but I can’t see anything when u have the flashlight off

this guy does not know how to pick admins lmao. bros got people getting banned from his W.C.S Arma server over literally nothing lmfao
I ran away from it while over encumbered lol
Managed to get an achievement about the chimera. Didn't even know it was on my tail
Bro why the f..k does no one play this game with the flashlight on in the dark
A. it does nothing outside
B. it just makes a dark pixelated image look even worse on youtube
I couldn't figure out how to get in that building for the rocket launcher, just moved on and had hero trying to get through the swamp.
@@natemckinzie4395 it took me a while too but eventually found where to crawl under the floor.
Nice! Is that music in game music???

How come you didn't use the flash light outside when fighting Chimera??
The way the light is in this game, it diminishes your peripheral vision so sometimes you have better situational awareness by leaving it off
@ cool to know
Come back to Stalcraft again on the 13th it is going to have its winter event!
damn your bad
This game is too dark to watch, unfortunately.
