I found out about this record on Allmusic's best of the year list...and those guys know what time it is. Fantastic arrangements, great singer... that's all you need, really.
For me, Tamara Lindeman's songwriting/singing is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan in the best of ways and for this era...poetic and intelligent personal lyrics...very welcoming to listen to...
As I have shared elsewhere: I have purchased perhaps 3 albums in the past decade, i.e. I want to own every part of the work and experience it as an entire progression. The Weather Station's "Ignorance" is one of these. Masterful songwriting and cool delivery.
4 songs in...great so far.
...sigue siendo uno de mis albums favoritos desde el 2021. ¡ Maravillas de la música !
Best album of 2021, hands down
Pleasantly reminiscent of the early 70's with it's thoughtful lyrics... a refreshing refuge from 2021.
One of the best albums of 2021

She's definitely the nearest to Joni I have found. I don't know Sarah McLachlan, but I will have a listen.

I love all the songs, but for some reason Subdivisions hits me harder every time I hear it. Such a great and simple album.
Nice job. Classic
i'm seeing you tonight in edmonton and i hope the whole band is there! this is great.
Great album. Hoping for a vinyl repress at some point that is not noisy like the ones I have tried.
It doesn't seem like a gimmicky album to me, but it's very fine, lilting and full of details
