Regular subscriber and viewer here....I am a special education teacher for 4th/5th graders. This video 100% aligns with a lesson we just had regarding AI. I was trying to teach my students about a grading/evaluation rubric. So....I "assigned" ChatGPT with the SAME writing assignment I had given my students and we were going to use the rubric to "grade" it. That simple/fun lesson turned into an EPIC DEBATE among 8-11 year olds. The assignment was "write a short paragraph that includes SENSORY details about a super specific moment that happened during your summer". The debate came after I asked the class...." CAN AI write a descriptive/sensory paragraph, considering they don't HAVE senses themselves?". It was one of the best teaching moments of the year and the kiddos all shared their opinions, backed by evidence. AI is AWESOME, especially for teaching purposes but....I too, am curious how it will evolve!
THANK YOU! for teaching kids to Critically Reason. Question what the internet is telling them. My son is upset a new movie isn’t coming out sooner due to the writer’s strike (1st World Problems 😒) and said, “Can’t AU just make the movie?” We’ve talked about this, kiddo!
@@josephdisselkamp2586 yes. Same here in Ontario Canada. I was lucky to find a vet only 1h away. Sadly my bearded dragon was to sick and there was nothing we could do. He had growths on his insides. He was almost 18months.
As someone who will probably be the last person on earth to ask an AI generator for a care guide, I liked this video. I definitely think that you should do one and ask about obscure species. That would be interesting. Keep up the good work!
Ditto. Beardies and Leopards have been in the hobby for decades so there’s gobs of info out there. Pick a reptile from your recent video on Hot Reptiles of 2024, stuff the internet isn’t full of yet.
Slight correction: while it doesn't need to be done often, bathing a bearded dragon can be necessary if the dragon is constipated. As for AI, my biggest issue with it is it gives no indication of where it gets its information from. Sources/citations matter, and in AI you get none.
I think it might actually do better because there isn't the proliferation of bad guides to clog up the data. The good data being rare shouldnt be a problem at all.
I was researching various reptile care and came across an article that was clearly written by AI but copied by someone to post and their care guide. It was vague and included a picture of a six legged chameligecko thing. At least it gave temps in Celsius for those that don't understand a proper temperature scale.
I work with Chat GTP-type AI for part of my job, and I always have to go back and edit/correct some things. Sometimes it just pulls incorrect information out of left field. AI is extremely helpful with saving time on first drafts, but you really need to still keep an eye on the output and not trust that everything coming out of it is correct or even logical sometimes.
As a novice (at best) reptile enthusiast, I would very much appreciate more videos like this, perhaps more expansive discussion on different species including leopard geckos, bearded dragons and blue tongue skinks.
One thing I find frustrating is that lots of UA-camrs don't give specific numbers when discussing different reptiles. Especially about cage sizes, and instead say bigger is better. Which is true but also completely useless when deciding whether a species is appropriate for you. I like Adam's critiques because he says what you should do instead of just what you shouldn't
Great idea to cover this and not surprised by the outcome, although still disappointing. Rhinoceros Rat Snake guide would be interesting, there's surprisingly not a lot of online. Despite this the information available is quite varied.
An old friends 12 year old daughter had an adult bearded dragon. It was in a 40gal glass aquarium with screen top on reptile carpet. First thing I did was pulled up some of your bearded dragon care videos. Her son was 15 and had a Russian tortoise kept in a 20L.
