    Forbidden West is 6 months after the final battle in Zero Dawn(confirmed by a blog post from Guerilla). Yeah I totally agree about the flying I don't want it unless the map was hugeee. Gliders are such a great addition.
    In terms of the geography, it appears that there there has been a significant rise in ocean levels. We knew this in HZD from datapoints about the great die off. Water levels went up destroying a lot of land and causing massive displacement. So from the map we see it appears that much of the coast of California has changed including possibly sinking LA into the ocean. The central valley in California has also changed and been flooded. I used to live there and the locations they showed are totally different than what they look like now lol. Raintrace is one of the shown locations, in out current day that exact location is a flat desert sitting next to the diablo grande mountain range. In the game it's a mountainous jungle lol. Louisiana is basically completely underwater as well as some parts of Texas. Mexico also lost coastal regions. Florida is definitely completely submerged. The location of the marker looks like its near Cuba. Baro means barometers. hpa is Hectopascals. Both of these measure air pressure to predict weather and storms. So while we don't know exactly what those markers mean they seem to be tracking storms with the device Erend found.
    Good video! Would love to see you discuss lore from the first game as well. I notice you mostly have gameplay but since you love lore I'd love to hear about it. The only other lore channel for HZD is Random Side Quest and we definitely need more!

      Gliders are good, I have been saying please no flying on machines unless the map is huge for awhile but I would be "ok" with gliders hahaha.
      Geography certainly had changed due to rising water, I was debating pulling up a map on my second monitor(probably should have!).
      Baro for Barometer, hpa for Hectopascals, today I learned! Storm tracking! TY
      I could get more into lore, that is a good idea and I likely will. I have been working on tutorial guides to help give players a better idea of how to handle HZD combat and what all they can do. They will for sure be done before H:FW, but I am not sure how many I will do. I will likely do a short "tips and tricks" guide in the next few days though.

      Mines a bit different though lol..

    Good analysis. I'm wondering how effective the melee skills and combos will be on the machines. I have a very in your face playstyle and will jump all over machines and use spear attacks when I can, so these new attacks have me wondering. Speaking of, I really hope they have kept the strike from above, as I find it to be the most versatile and damaging melee attack in the first game. I can imagine gliding into a strike from above, as long as Aloy is in a state of combat readiness when she drops the glider (eg. from a great enough height, could you glide, let go and fire an arrow mid-air and then engage the glider again?). In Zero Dawn you could shoot an arrow, or blast sling and chain it into a strike from above all in the same jump. Just some things I'm thinking about.

      I believe there is probably melee skills intended for machines and I would imagine strike from above shall return. The classic "jump off kill with arrow and then strike from above a different target" is fun. I would imagine we can close then re-open the glider mid air, but we will have to wait and see.

      @@Psykko_ Melee skills for machines is definitely a path I would choose, so I would hope to see something like that. I just want decent effectiveness up to the size of a ravager...I'm certainly not expecting to take down the bigger stuff with pure melee (though that is still possible with perseverance...lol).

    if anything alloy looks better than in hzd and i think she's only 6 months older not in her 20s if im not mistaken if the comics are cannon
