In fact they had a closer vantage point than anyone in the US. You can tell by the fact the sonic boom came to their location much before the other US people vantage point. Luckies
After watching several dozen videos from the other side of the launch, this is a real eye opener. The part where booster descends through its own plume is quite different. It barely skims the outer edge of the cloud. The sonic boom arrives several seconds earlier due to the closer proximity, and the mic on the recording device was very good because it picks up the bass loud and clear. People have already commented on the camera work and yeah, it's professional level. This may be my favorite video of the launch.
I know right? A lot of professional videos just keep it all the way zoomed in and it adds no context whatsoever, like what exactly is that supposed to accomplish? Not to mention the terrible tracking with it being so zoomed in. I guess its good for SpaceX to review problems with the booster but its not very satisfying to look at.

Vivo a 70 kilómetros de ese lugar (del lado mexicano) y tanto al momento del lanzamiento como en el regreso del boster las ventanas de mi casa vibraron un montón y desde el balcón de mi casa pude apreciar sin problemas el lanzamiento.

I feel like this is the closest public view of Starship launches and Superheavy landings possible. I'm happy to see the shared excitement of this moment from some of our neighbors across the Rio Grande. It exemplifies that this is not just a private company achievement, nor a single country's achievement, but it is, at its core, a human achievement. It is a feat of awesome human engineering that humanity should be proud of and excited for. The heavens we seek and to the heavens we will go.

Incredible view and that was AMAZING camera work too. This is one of the most complete views since the vast majority of the US angle video gets obscured briefly by the vapor trail of the launch. You've managed to capture the peak booster heating! Honestly, really well done from the UK

boca chica is right on the border , i think from launch site to actually being in mexico is only like 6000 feet , so right at 1 mile

everyday astronaut pointed out that first and second orbit does not align well, but third does iirc, so it would be 4-5 hours later or something.
