A couple of things I forgot to mention in the video... blade steel is 6150 CNC milled. Also, of all of the swords in my collection, this one did come the sharpest from the factory. I did not order Kult of Athena's sharpening service. I believe the tang is threaded, however, someone at A&A should confirm that for sure. Although a bit heavy at 3 lbs 9 oz, it's still a full pound lighter than that United Cutlery Glamdring wall hanger on the far right. The BP's few ounces of extra weight disappear once in the hand due to it's exceptional balancing and feels like an extension of your arm... that's the best way I can describe it.

I want to get a XV.
There are a lot of good choices out there for an XV. Some of the other Oakeshott types are more difficult to find accurate museum replicas of.
