probably the most important thing to check every year is to check and make sure your concaves are level, your maintenance section in your Manuel will show you how to do it on your combine, vary important.
Glad to see harvest is coming along for you guys, We started beans on Thursday and we were sitting a 10% moisture and 55 bushels and acer. Good luck 👍🏻
I heard from a deere mechanic that when you are about to start harvesting in the morning that you want to slow your rotor down from the cab adjustment then all the way up then back down to your setting, he claimed doing this smears the grease around for better lubrication. Have a safe harvest!
Grant you need to buy an older diesel compressor from an auction site and use it to blow off the equipment Before you wash. If you don’t you don’t get the dust before you wash the dust you can’t see remains. The Milwaukee blower is not enough psi
Grant, hopefully the mice did not make it near the cab or too much of the wiring. You probably won’t find out until you have bean there and done that. Why don’t you invest in some bait stations and get them before they get you. I used to have mouse problems under my porch but once I started to use them I have never seen any evidence of them other that the odd dead one. Good luck with this years harvest, stay safe.
Can you make a video talking about your future plans for expanding or just plans in general? Its so cool being with you on this journey, almost feels like i have a part in your operation.
Seeing spectacular Spencer with angel grant makes this vlog awesome also it’s a very calming vlog. To watch. But the one part is 13:32 this note. From you grant. I would love to hear you sing holy biscuits. Also spectacular Spencer is a amazing guy Your blessed. Hugs from me to you both I love you guys keep it going
Stay safe grant, Spence and family. We are just finished planting sorghum over in Australia and almost time to get harvest prep up and going for wheat and barley crops.
Grant Try peppermint oil to keep the mice away, I bought a big bottle on amazon and a cheap spray bottle and peppermint oil and some water and spray around the shop. and for my combine and tractors I bought the little metal altoid tins on amazon drilled 6 1/8" holes and packed them with cottontails and put peppermint oil in and threw them around the cab I have not noticed any mice in my machines and it smells good when you get into the cab.
You and spencer should do an irl farm series in fs22 that would be awesome if you had all the same equipment love the content keep up the good work and best of luck with harvest this year
Advice when shifting gears make the combine rock a little bit by moving ur forward and backwards handle and then as it’s barely moving push the shifter
Remember bud. Proper tension on both the elevator chains is tighten it until you can slide it side to side on the sprocket but cant pull the chain away from the sprocket
Hello New Farmer. Here a Few Trick for you. Add a canister to your Pressure washer, Use Dawn Soap.( if it Cleans Oil away from 🦆 Ducky there it will work for You. When you are Done fill Canister with Wax like at the CarWash. The Cut tire Grind and ruff up inside cut then USE a Clear Epoxy mix to the Cut. Tape it off too. Works great if you Clean and Ruff up Rubber. Friday in Ohio they Are Harvesting the Soybean pods. Also fellow Millennial Farmer. He Need to hit 1 million to get Anne a ride in Combine
Hey Grant I am a long time viewer of you the gang and I was wondering why Steveo (Squad Farms) hasn’t posted for close to nine months? I hope you get back to me and if you don’t see this I’ll try to ask again in your next video. Thanks for all you do for us!
Just throw rat poison in the combine couple packs in the back and into the feeder house most of the time they will still be full come harvest time. Meaning the mice stayed out.
hay Grant. I found your channel last spring and I want back and started at your first video. I've caught up and now I've seen all of your videos. since then I started a small farm UA-cam channel. do you have any UA-cam advice. keep up the great work.
Hey Grant I have a question can you give me some advice about being a first time farmer cause I’m doing all kinds of research to Buy equipment and loans and property taxes and all the other stuff so if you could give me some advice that would be really helpful
I wonder how long will it take for John Deere to fully sponsor this channel lol this is like a full unpaid unofficial sponsorship :d it deserves payment, perhaps some machines would be greatly appreciated :D
You guys go above and beyond to clean your stuff. Ours just gets a nice blast of water 😂. Best of luck with harvest!
😂😂 Thanks Welkers!
Ours usually don’t even get that 😂
What’s a wash? 😂
It’s awesome watching the progress of your farm Grant! I hope harvest is treating you well
probably the most important thing to check every year is to check and make sure your concaves are level, your maintenance section in your Manuel will show you how to do it on your combine, vary important.

In our farm we have already started soybean harvest. Yet we are in south east michigan. And in a couple weeks (2-3) we will be harvesting corn
Can you make a video talking about your future plans for expanding or just plans in general? Its so cool being with you on this journey, almost feels like i have a part in your operation.
Good way to keep the mice out. Spray the combine with diesel over the winter then you wash it off before you use it at harvest
This is the squad I watch a lot of your farm sim videos I never new you were a actual farmer
Seeing spectacular Spencer with angel grant makes this vlog awesome also it’s a very calming vlog. To watch. But the one part is 13:32 this note. From you grant. Can't wait to see yall harvesting!!
You guys probably need a barn cat to kill all those mice. Love the vids keep up the hard work!!
Stay safe grant, Spence and family. We are just finished planting sorghum over in Australia and almost time to get harvest prep up and going for wheat and barley crops.
Looks like your ready to go. Good luck with harvest.

Boys looks like your bean crop will be really good this season. 🎉
love the vids trying to start farming and i hope i can
God be with you.
Can’t wait to see the combine in action!
For them grease zurks try spraying carb cleaner on them to remove just a small bit of paint. Works great and it comes off quick
We sprayed fungicide on our beans this year for the first time and we can see a difference from last years crop. On how it filled the pods out
You and spencer should do an irl farm series in fs22 that would be awesome if you had all the same equipment love the content keep up the good work and best of luck with harvest this year
In northern Minnesota we finished beans last night
Hey glad to see your dad back !
Really enjoyed the video, cant wait for harvest to start!:)
Advice when shifting gears make the combine rock a little bit by moving ur forward and backwards handle and then as it’s barely moving push the shifter
I hope you have a killer year so you can upgrade those arctic cats to ski doos!! Have a safe harvest
Can´t wait to see harvest videos.
I have always been told to keep sheets of Bounce in your cab to keep the mice out.
I recommend leaving d-CON around your shop and putting something like moth balls spread through out your combine to keep the mice and coons out.
We run regular grease in every but the corn head itself and it’s been running fine for 10 years.
When cleaning a filter always blow from inside out. Just heads up from a farmer
I am totally ok with the dirty combine. :D
Remember bud. Proper tension on both the elevator chains is tighten it until you can slide it side to side on the sprocket but cant pull the chain away from the sprocket
Good to see your dad back in your videos
That's the right color. Nothing runs like a Deere. If it ain't green... It ain't mean!!!
Dryer sheets work also to deter mice.
yes finaly a new video of my fav youtuber :)
Remember your slip clutch on the end of your corn header.
Just a friendly reminder.
Thank You! We're gonna be checking that out this weekend!
Oh for sure man
Try putting Irish spring soap in your machine. It helps keep mice away.
Yet another amazing video from Grant and Spencer.
Grant a nice add on to you shop would be a nice oil rack with probably 100gal or so tots, when its empty make a call to deer and they come fill it.
If you could I would recommend getting a couple cats because they get rid of mice. Has helped our farm a lot
Time for a shop cat! That’ll cut down on the mice.
Hi Grant! Say, Before you order the side shield from John Deere, ask the previous owner if he took it off and didn’t replace it…?
Just a thought! 😎👍
Nice job 👍
Hadn’t been watching in a while I forgot he had a combine
2 days ago I got my first tractor a case 7130
Congratz Man! 7130 is a nice tractor!
@@granthilbert5632 my dad 9620rx and and 3 9860 sts

Ok great vid but why the mop to clean the combine
Is that a caravan? You wish to travel from state to state or something? 🤔😅 Happy harvest. 🤗

Am I the only one who never drops the feederhouse drum down for beans? I've never had a problem with it up
Did you planing plant this year some weath or barley?
hahahahaha spencer is so tiny pulling that huge sled.
Great vid just got done watching haunted camping
Same😂
You should of had a camera on the back of the combine to see how many mice you kicked out when you turned on the seperator.
Just throw rat poison in the combine couple packs in the back and into the feeder house most of the time they will still be full come harvest time. Meaning the mice stayed out.
find the cheapest dry laundry detergent and sprinkle it around the combine, the mice won't cross it.
Are you guys not staying in the camper in the barn😂
Great Work Grant... question are you gonna sell any merch from your farm. Such as a photo of your 8110 on like hoodies and such?
Love the video is Thomas from Australia😊
Started soybeans Tuesday in south central SD corn was started 3 weeks ago
Can’t wait for harvest. Do you own all of your machines?
Yes! Have a bit more machine then I need for my acres rn👍
Spose to prime the oil filter before starting
hey grant try irish spring bar soap for mice it works for cars and trucks it could work for tractors and combines
I’ve heard this too. We don’t have this product in my country.
How are the no-till beans lookin? We started picking beans yesterday up here in Minnesota. All conventional no no-till this year.
Nice u getting bout 20 bu ac?
hay Grant. I found your channel last spring and I want back and started at your first video. I've caught up and now I've seen all of your videos. since then I started a small farm UA-cam channel. do you have any UA-cam advice. keep up the great work.
use dryer sheets. I use that with my snowmobiles
If the beans are under 13% moisture there really ready to go.
one tip i can give you on how to make to make your combine look better is to run the American flag on the auger.
Do you have any plans to put up any grain bins by your shed in the near future?
Hey Grant I have a question can you give me some advice about being a first time farmer cause I’m doing all kinds of research to Buy equipment and loans and property taxes and all the other stuff so if you could give me some advice that would be really helpful
Today was first day of bean in michagain for my farm
Grant how many acres of beans and corn do you pick
250 total! 👍
Very good Video 👍👍
14:44 🤣🤣🤣
When is a harvest series coming
You should do a camping video in real life with the camper you bought and go quading
Place mothballs all over the combine and the mice will stay away.
Are we getting ready to pick corn or soybeans? Is your farming game gonna be available for console? As always God bless many prayers and stay safe.
you should buy a drill to plant wheat
Man you need a 76 by 100 building
Just spin the sheave pulley by your head while tryna shift it.....easy....
Damn grant is jacked
I wonder how long will it take for John Deere to fully sponsor this channel lol this is like a full unpaid unofficial sponsorship :d it deserves payment, perhaps some machines would be greatly appreciated :D
i love you videos
Bro I love you!!!!!
We have done 8 out of 60 Fields
Pit mothballs in the feeder house they will stay out of it
you need a grain bin
😎😎😎😎👍
