Stephen Lewis played Blakey superbly. Was the best character on the show in my humble opinion
Roger that 😄
@@cskukyes Blakey was the real star. ❤🎉
Easily the best character followed by arthur
After watching most of his interviews, he seems to be a genuinely lovely bloke .......... RIP Stephen !!!
I don't think I ever saw him in anything without his 'Blakey' persona
He seems like such a genuinely nice man. Loved him as Blakey.
A comic legend and one of a kind. Rest in peace knowing you gave so much joy and laughs to so many.
Blakey , my favourite sitcom character, played so well by Stephen. What a lovely bloke as well .
No gurning, no "I 'ate you Butler", just a nice well spoken and actually quite handsome gentleman. There was a lot more to Stephen than just Blakey and Smiler. Sleep well Stephen.
Absolutely fantastic story of how he started and the rest is history so sad the cast on the buses are not with us anymore.
Probably the most genuine, lovely, honest and great actor ever... Rest easy Stephan.. You are missed my friend... God bless x
Not in a million guesses would I put that voice to Blakey, I'd never guess it was Stephen Lewis.
Very enjoyable to hear him speak about his life,I only ever heard him before as Blakey and Smiler 😂
A lovely gentleman, sorry that he is no longer with us.
It's nice to hear his real voice.
Excellent work capturing these wonderful personal testimonies of the cast, who are sadly no longer with us. Thank you.
I find it hard to get my head round the fact that in real life Stephen Lewis and Bob Grant, worked so well as a team to write the O.T.B script, fifty years on we still have a laugh at the old episodes……”I’ll get you Butler!!!’…😀😅😂🤣
I’ve got the whole series. Brilliant!
What a lovely, humble, interesting and talented man. Great stuff
A truly dear man. Ive never heard his 'real voice' before - what a shock so well spoken! GET THAT BUS OUT!
What a lovely man .
Lovely Man ❤❤ Thanks for the comedy Stephen!
Thankyou for this ....look for Stephen in the film "A Prize of Arms" with Stanley Baker and Tom Bell. He was very good in that i would love to of heard his recollections of that role in 1962.
That's a good call out. I have not seen A Prize of Arms, I'll be sure to look out for it. A super actor, and a wonderful man by all accounts.
@@RABBITANDSNAIL yes it is a supporting role,he is a Military Policeman MP and has quite a few lines in the first half of the film. Also Michael Robbins appears briefly as a military payroll clerk👍😀 . It’s one of my favourite films, almost as good as On the Buses😊
P
Love the series then still love it now
Hats oaff to Rabbit & Snail for taking the trouble to respond, in writing, to the Comments by "0rdinary" UA-cam viewers. As for Stephen Lewis, fabulous actor, fabulous Man.
Wonderful ….👍
There was so much more opportunity back then, things happened in such a lovely way for people. I did like him he was v funny, lots of it was TBH.
He actually lapsed into Blakey at the very end❤😂🎉
Get that bus out!
'Ooh I ate you Butler'
Could listen to Stephen reminiscing until the cows come home.
GET THAT BUS OUT 🤣🤣🤣
*I HATE YOU BUTLER* 🤣🤣🤣
