I don't know what weird, caffeine-fueled events brought me to watch this sport
But two and a half weeks later I've watched as much as I can and already know that I'm a lifelong fan.
THIS SO EPIC... I COULD SEE THIS BEING IN THE OLYMPICS IN THE FUTURE....
IF THEY TAKE THIS CONCEPT AND ADD TRICKS WHILE THEY RAMP THIS COULD BE THE BEST EXTREME SPORT EVER!!! INSANE!!!!
This does not need tricks. It's about speed.
@@hy_prix yes. I am talking about a different concept for sport all together ..... the downhill ice skating part of this ...but with bigger ramps and huge tricks. Would be insane.
I wished they had a timer running, so I could see if the track got faster/slower as the day progressed.
I discovered red bull crashed ice racing a few months ago. I have also watched some old races on youtube from 2012. Both the Men and Women are way better in 2018-2019. In 2012 the Women fell down a lot and now they are fast and stay on their feet much more frequently. The Women's races today look like Men's races from 2012. The Men are blindingly fast now compared to 2012.
Love this, but why do both Croxall’s challenge every time they lose?
46:06 Favourite crashed ice moment
Video starts at 7:20
Thank you!
thanks
Hero
This are the sports of the future!! LOVE red bull channel
The ninja on the mountains fr I've never seen this before but I want to try it.
Is it me, or did a fan drop their phone on the ice at 59:24?
Ya
omg they did
Hard to say. Are you missing your phone? 🤪
I’d like to see Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, and a brawler compete in this but with full contact allowed. I feel like Crosby would get far enough out on the jump to avoid contact and Ovechkin would put Malkin into the crowd on the first turn. Would be funny to see Chara and Simmonds in the mix as well.
18:02 - my favorite ending 😂
Haha! Pure joy. 😁
Inverted loops, grinds, pump tracks, burms, cross tracks, team races with wingmen and hockey style enforcers to win races, i can only imagine the future of this sport
Naasz - the greatest ice skater as for me.
Титов молодчинкаа 👏
Loving this sport. However, I would get rid of the rider protest button. It's an excuse for riders to press when they lose. Contact is going to happen. If a rider gets taken down on purpose, or if the contact is avoidable, the judges should take care of that.
onesixgg yea, I agree, but in most sports including hockey the coach can challenge a play if they think something wasn’t right, but in this sport there are no coaches to challenge anything
I agree but I feel the player knows what happened and most times the judge doesn't overturn the results
It’s a pro sport, no one is gonna just press the button because they lost and they don’t think anything happened. If that was the case both loser would be pressing it every damn race. They press it when there’s contact that affects their line and speed and they know it, they just don’t know if it’s intentional or unavoidable contact that can help them out or not so they press it knowing there was something that affected them they just don’t know if it was something that could help them out or not. It doesn’t take long to look at and most of the time nothing happens with it so it’s a good thing because judges miss things live
Yup, unless there is something truly violent, bumping is going to happen, that course is tight.
Same in speed skating. Sometimes a challenge is valid, or at least worthy of review.
I love red bull
I would pay to go watch this.
Awesome Crashed ice 💖💖💖
Titov racing for Germany? Wearing Russia on the front... Makes no sense.
@@theoyalovets949German/Герман it's just a russian name. There is no connection with the country.
This is satisfying
Awesome!!
how do you find a crashed ice arena? also is it possible to try a run?
Yes please
OMG THIS SOOOO AMAZING!!!!
😲😲😲
Has anyone lost a finger . Great event.
why isn't this sport in the olympics?
Sports and events have to have to establish quite a few years of history having world championships and meaningful participation from all continents, and even then a new sport would have to fight many others for space in the olympics because they can only have so many (olympics are expensive!) There's tons of worldwide popular sports that aren't included and continuously campaign for addition. This event could be added easily to the winter olympics because the venues are temporary and the skills are easily translated by people already familiar with skating and hockey, but the downside is the venues are expensive to build and proprietary, and the sport still need to attract more participants from africa and oceania and south america to be meaningfully international. I bet it could get there in 10 years or less. This one in Japan is a good sign it's expanding quick.
Takeshi yasutoko? The in line skater? Cool
This track is harder than others I've seen
Lovely guy. Great event and he gave my 9 year old his gloves!
Glad to hear that you've had a great time! 🙌
日本の方います🤚?🇯🇵
@redbull is there permanent arenas in the U.S? also is there any open to public?
i wish they would make the tracks a bit wider and a little bit more fluent.... would make it so much more xiting !!! great stuff though!!!
That looks pretty coool
I want to see the guy (or girl, we can't be gender biased here) driving the zamboni on this course.
I think it takes a certain type of mentality to assume a statement as simple as that to be gender biased. Thats the real problem not the wording of an idea.
I wonder if it’s some kind of device they attach to the boards.
@@tommac8742 Are you sure the problem doesn't lie in your own sense of humor?
10:30 - ice cold announcer.
While watching men series - sweating. While watching women series - laughing.
Is Tsubasa Sato in this one?
Edited: No, she’s not 😭
Valie Romero I came looking for her too!
Alycia Atkinson I think she’s on the Juniors division which was not on the live stream. You can see her on the “Road to Yokohama” video tho (parts 1 and 2). I’ll come back and post the link here in a bit 😉
Alycia Atkinson Yep, I got it. Make sure you have English captions on. Here’s the link:

Alycia Atkinson You’re welcome, dear. We all love Tsuchan, so let’s share the love with each other, right? 🥰

i don't know enough abt crashed ice but it seems like s. croxall protest a lot. is he a baby in the sport?
He's a really, really, good racer, but the Croxall brothers are a bit testy yes.
行きたかった
YESSSSS MR DUNNE!!!!!
I find it funny how when a Croxall gets DQ'd and eliminated they say "this sports softening up, I was protecting my line" but then when they get taken down accidentally they cry like "contact isn't allowed in this sport" lmao
i think he thought was an air bag at end not foam
SCOTTY AND KYLE!!!!!!
See you in 2019 everybody!

Godziwwa
This is phuckn crazy lol☠
Brilliant sport but it could do with less american extravaganza of the broadcast itself (the overdramatizing music, shitty commentators, etc.)Would be a lot more exciting especially without the music. Then it would be more fun there were more nationalities. Not just Americans and Canadians. And the tracks could be a bit more diverse as well.
Qonstantin Braeburn you said it’s only Americans and Canadians, interesting because you have Fins, Sweds, Swiss, etc participating. Love the fact that you said it’s a brilliant sport except everything. (Commentators, athletes and tracks). Why don’t you just go watch Russian ice dancing. That might be more to your liking
@@bh9245 Literally
Look at round 32 heat 2. (It’s about the 14:20 mark in the vid) Has Russia, Canada, Finland and France represented. I’ve also seen Japanese, US, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Switzerland (I’m sure I’m missing a country or two). Seems a pretty well rounded representation. It’s not the Canadian or US athletes fault they end up in the finals quite a bit. That is unless you just want people to receive ‘participation ribbons’ and no one gets their feelings hurt.
I agree except the riders, they are international but the rest is horrid. I like the sport but its outlook is so american, disgusting.
*"Brilliant sport, except for everything about it."*
There, fixed your comment.
japan isnt a continent
Japanese athletes!?!?!?! Lol, well... I guess someone's always gotta come in last...
