My name is Rachel Strickland and I am a full-time reseller reselling online on ebay, posmark and mercari. My passion for thrifting and treasure hunting has enabled me to quit my job and become an ebay reseller full time. I am so excited to be self-employed that I want to show YOU how to quit your job and start reselling too! Selling on ebay and making money on ebay is something ANYONE can do. It's a great side hustle as a part-time reseller or a phenomenal full-time income you can work from home. My desire is to share and teach you HOW TO BE A RESELLER. I fill my videos with ebay tips and tricks to help you learn how to sell on ebay.
Mainly I source and buy my reselling inventory at thrift stores because I simply love to thrift, take you guys along on a thrift vlog and film and showcase thrift hauls full of vintage and designer goods. I shop goodwill, salvation army, small town thrifts, the Goodwill bins ( Goodwill outlet) and more.
When I am not thrifting, I love to shop yardsales and ensure you know a good BOLO when you see one and what to buy at yard sales.
I also source at auctions including online auctions, estate auctions, and live auction houses always showcasing my auction haul and auction scores with you guys. I take auction go pro style first-person videos.
Even more than showing you guys my hauls, I love to educate and show you what sold and why so that you can learn how to source as a reseller as well.
My Friday night live shows are a great way to get involved in the online reseller community and learn tips and tricks from the reselling pros.
So come along with me and my American Picker style UA-cam Channel as we find and flip the coolest vintage and designer goods, learn how to ship breakables, authenticate coach, nikes and Louis Vuitton and more! I am so glad you are here!

VERY good points! As a collector, if/when I shop for something, I PREFER to see all the nicks, chips, and scratches, and I PREFER to have all the markdown price tags on it. If I'm going to pay $600 for a 1990's $15 item, I already know you probably bought it at a flea market price. Your honesty with the photos and description is what I'm willing to pay a premium for at this point. 👍

GZA, pronounced Jizza, is a member of The Wu-Tang Clan, but the groups album had already been put out prior to this one. After the group album, the 8 members put out solo albums. The GZA's album was the 4th solo album.
He did actually have an album that came out prior to the formation of Wu-Tang, but he went only by The Genius on that album.

Whoever told you that about the GZA tape is incorrect. They were Wu-Tang from the beginning and had already launched their debut album 4 years before this GZA album came out. Most of the members of Wu-Tang released a solo album following the success of their debut group album and that's all this is. Liquid Swords is considered one of the most iconic Wu-Tang solo albums though, hence the hefty demand and price.

Hi Rachel! Lonnie at Shed Flips on youtube had a recent video about pre-recorded VHS. You cannot sell on ebay and they will take the listing down due to copyright infringement. I would assume prerecorded cassettes would be treated the same. Just don't want to see you or any of your viewers get hit with a lawsuit. Regular cassettes and VHS are fine as the copyright was already put in place. You can sell brand new blank cassettes and VHS, but not prerecorded. Love your channel, have always learned something and have appreciated your sharing your faith as well. You are a positive messenger ☺

I'm new to your channel. Enjoy the tips. I have been selling mostly vintage jewelry on eBay for over 20 years (2nd-time-around-jewelry). I also sold a lot of small electronics & audio equipment (mp3 players, Walkman style items, pocket pc's etc.) before the smart phones became popular.
Just wanted to add that used cassettes for recording can sell very well also. I had hundreds of them from my dad & in-laws. Some brands are more popular than others. Even used metal tapes go for a lot. And the used tapes that are not that great can always be sold in bundles. I sold all the tapes over a few months either on eBay or locally on Craigslist for good money. Also love selling any Walkman style cassette & disc players whether working or not. Sold an old Sony Discman not working properly for many hundreds of dollars.

Nice video on the cassettes. As far as the VHS, selling pre-recorded VHS is a no-no on ebay. I have sold some but recently they have started taking them down, mine included. Maybe others may have better luck but I decided against trying it anymore as I thought about the fact that someone could record something on a tape that if I sold it could get me in a lot of trouble. I don't want to watch the whole tape all the way through to make sure there is nothing nefarious recorded on there. Something to think about.

But then, something has to give because not everybody can be everywhere all the time grabbing everything. From what I’ve watched (health issues = way too many watch hours and too little other), there are two types of successful resellers - 1) they know their niche and drive down and find everything there or 2) generalists who can go anywhere and pick up something they can make money on. I am wildly impressed by both types!

I do not test them. Moat of what I sell are unopened. I have sold used cassettes and never test them nor list that. Obviously a good thorough inspection could reveal any major deficiency. If it helps, I have never had a cassette or record returned bc it didn't work and I never test either.

I laughed out loud when you described the GZA tape. GZA is one of the members of the Wu Tang Clan and this is his solo cassette which was very popular. This is not pre-Wu Tang at all and in fact it’s actually after Wu Tang was regularly making music. GZA aka the Genius is the best lyricist in the group and this album was fire. See B.I.B.L.E. Great track. By the way Raekwon is another member of the Wu Tang. I had all these albums but on CD. Who would have guessed the tapes would be worth more than the cds.

@@RachelStrickland Sure. Additionally, the new cassette tapes, including the cobalt tapes, are very hissy and very bad. Not that some brands (AGFA, BASF) are not as good as others, but you can look that up. You might also want to look into reel-to-reel tapes, prerecorded with entire albums and blanks for home and music studio use. Analog tape has made a comeback, great equipment (home and professional) is all over the place and new albums are STILL being issued here and there on reel-to-reel including ELEPHANT by THE WHITE STRIPES, which is supposed to sound incredible and retails for $500.00. Thanks for the smart video!

@@RachelStrickland Little I can do about any of it now. I tossed about 2500 or so DVD's, who knows how many cassettes, lots and VHS's. I figured the cassettes and VHS probably afoul.
See magnetic tape even diskettes have a carrier thats plastic than there's an oxide put down atop that making for "recording tape," A computer diskette is just a circular tape.
So the particles of the oxide either get charged positive or negative electrically hence making "audio" into magnetized particles which can be read back and converted back to audio
Problem is over time just like magnets attract and oppose the particles of oxide on tape do the same thing. So in time the recording degrades. Its not hugely apparent with VHS or Cassettes but with computer diskettes, oh yes. That's because the diskettes hold digital data, zero's and one's (binary data) and there is a "Checksum" to make sure the data is all valid. Hence why you'll see old computer data on diskette over time fail.
I didn't care try test all of it so I just dumpstered it.
