I love this little bike. I dropped my CB1100 in the backyard grass the other day and found out what it's like for an old dude to pick up 550 pounds of motorcycle. When I can no longer pick her up I'll buy one of these.
I have a ‘23 Versys-x 300. It’s my first motorcycle. I bought it before I even knew how to ride (couldn’t pass up a sale price). It sat in my driveway for a week before I took my MSF course. I’ve been riding now for a couple of weeks and loving it. I only regret not getting a motorcycle sooner. Still learning how to shift good. At times there’s a little over rev and/ or engine braking. But I’ll get there. Cool videos.
Good to see a fellow Washingtonian. Eastern I'm on the west side. I just got my 2023 Versys 300X and will be doing some up grades. Really love the bike, easy to maneuver and alot of fun to ride. It's my practice bike to get better skilled on the road, so when I take out my Vmax. For the price it is a good reliable bike.
Ive got an identical '22 x300, and I'm sitting here chuckling about how calm your video makes 80mph on that bike seem. Maybe its because im a newer rider.... but between the wind noise, 9k RPM, and just the sensation of speed... Its pretty damn visceral to me. I guess videos can't do the actual riding experience any justice. Love your channel. Cant wait to see more!
@@GasWorksISO yeah. I'll give it that. I did my first 100+ mile ride last weekend, and the only thing that bothered me at the end was my wrist. I think it'll do well as a tourer, which is really my intended goal with the bike.
I'm seriously looking at one. I'm thinking of selling my tall CRF300L Rally which I can not flatfoot. At over 70 years old it's a chore climbing on and off and I don't use it like it was meant to be used. I'm a bit over cautious. All my riding buddies are close to 20 years my junior and are prone to throw caution to the wind and take the technical routes. I just like to explore and not have to prove anything to myself. I always say, "OK, you guys have fun. I'll meet you on the other side."
they are awesome bikes, traded my 5 year old GSXS1000, for a new 2023 Versys-x300 3 weeks ago, and just finished the 1000km run in period yesterday, will get the first service done this week.😁😁
Interesting about the oil. I switched from the Kawasaki branded oil to Lucas 10/40 mineral oil and noticed a difference in the shifting. Much smoother! Also riding a 2022 versys x
Great looking bike! I wish the new model had a better color scheme. I still might get one anyway. Seems like such a great bike and it fit me well ergonomically.
I stopped using synthetic oil a while back and change the oil more often without chganging the filter until regular oil chgange mileage I feel more confident that way . Can't explain my reasoning. Just following rewcomended oil type. as soon as the oil needs changing the trans mission gets choppy and I jusy drain the oil and full to top mark. easy no brainer.
I collect mine this week but she won't see much of a break-in period. Will take it to 10k RPM from the dealer and vary the throttle, let the engine cool between 30min runs say for 200k's then consider it done. In my opinion you should not baby any new modern bike, don't ride it like you stole it from the get go but ride it hard-ish.
Great seeing your videos always. I just changed the name on my channel to include ISO. I love the concept!! Nice walk-around too. Where are you at? I am trying to build my channel as well. Crazy hard. Haha
I’m in central Washington. The best way to build your channel is upload consistently, like once a week, try to make your videos look and sound as best as you can, and be yourself! It’s a fun process! Good luck and thanks for watching!
I have a 2022 model and love it! I call the seat a 40 miler because that’s when I need to get off. The bike came with the Kawasaki thicker seat and it is a little better than the stock seat, I tried both seats. I have been riding motorcycles since 1960 and have had over 35 bikes. These little ones are by far the most fun….

The learning process is something you’ll look back on and smile. Sometimes I wish I could start over! Lol
Exactly the same for me! Ive now got about 700 milrs on it and i love it. I will say i think the blue and white look tge best on the VX!
The more I see bikes like the TU250, the happier I am with my 2020, X300.
Ya know , this was such a sensation when it came out, and then it just fell off the radar. Glad to see someone enjoying them .
Ahead of its time by half a decade or so IMO. Tons of new low displacement bikes coming out now.
Same here, I have a 2021 and love it.@YoureNotBatman

Such an underrated bike, they can even take a pillion. Just recalibrate your brain to ignore the revs, the motor can take it!
that headlight is great! totally brings the bike to life

The Versys does a really good job at blocking the wind at highway speeds!

Sou do Brazil, muito bonita a sua motocicleta. Comprei uma Versys X300 e estou muito feliz com a moto. Também coloquei vários acessórios na minha.
Thanks for the video and that's a really cool bike,be safe everyone.

It's that attitude that got you this far... keep on trucking, buddy.
These look like a very fun and functional motorcycle.

Love the headlights! May have to buy them too 👍
Would like to see the headlight's effectiveness at night. Windshield looks nice .

100% agree on the color scheme.
@chiefenumclaw7960 The tubed tires have kind of swayed me away a bit as well.
I got the exact same bike. No mods yet. It does rev high to me. I wanna get hard cases side and top as well as your windscreen.
Nice set up
You should use whatever oil that the manufacturer states in the owners manual.
Anyone know where I can get this light? I don't see it on Mattgeco's website anymore.
You said you were going to wring it out a little bit, but never told us your rpms and the glare hid the tachometer.
In europe we get the tall seat. For some reason us get the low seat? I have a 17 model and its a great bike.

Love the light package, but for that price I went with cheap fogs...

how did u mount the tool box to your rear rack?
Is a ‘22? Do you install the headlight?
Great seeing your videos always.

who installed the power outlet and relay on your versys?
I did. You have to remove the left side front fairing to wire it all up, but that's a pretty easy process.
This bike looks awesome, but what do you do about that uncomfortable seat?
Gonna put some more miles in it and see if it gets better. I thought about getting a Corbin, but they’ve raised the prices a lot..
the seat is fine for me, & im a skinny guy with not much meat on my arse, done 3-4 hours without a stop and no probs with the seat yet.
I don’t mind the seat. Had mine almost a year. Haven’t done any long rides yet though.
Aqui no Brazil existe uma empresa que vende o Banco Confort Gel para Versys X300, esta empresa se chama Pedrinho Bancos.

They should be 400 ccs like the ninja and the Z. Heavier frame than those 2 but 100 less ccs
👍🇬🇧
I have a top case that fita and locks my full face for ease.
