Personally, I think soft cases for bows are a waste of time unless you are so close to where you will shoot and then u can sling it on your back and walk there. anything drops on it like u say, your bow can become knackered or even more frustrating the string/cables get damaged and whilst the bow might have been undamaged, there goes your plans, out the window.

agreed... I don't use them much anymore...protect your investments.
