Thanks for this!! I just bought the same kit for my 2024 Mustang!! I decided to go sinister bronze (Ford factory color) for the intake tubes. I had the strut tower brace painted bronze as well. My car is Race Red with the bronze package. Looks great with the touch of accent color brought under the hood! Well done!!
Man those seals are such a pain!!! I like the look of mine. Tons of ppl on Mustang pages say this is a heat soak, I disagree. You can check the intake temp on your own ride to see at speed, we're about 5 degrees hotter than outside air at the max.
Good video!!! Yes paint them yellow so they stand out when you raise the hood. I have watched 7 videos of guys pulling out the carbon filters then checking the Hp increase on the dyno. What I observed is the average gain from removing the carbon filters is ~12-17 rwhp. Then a very slight increase with different air filters. The largest increase was the filters from Lethal Performance so a total gain of 24 rwhp verses K&N was 18.9. Even K&N announced that they were developing a better air filter than the red ones that came with your kit. Regardless you are gonna see an increase by doing your kit because most people have seen 12-17 from just removing the carbon filters. Then another 5-8 hp with the better air filters. Notice that if you go with a Whipple SC their kit also removes the carbon filters. Cheers‼️ Your yellow wasp looks fantastic especially with the dark film on the tint!!!! 👍👊💪😎🇺🇸😊
Unless somebody is generous enough to give me a great deal on a whippo kit it's going to be a little while. That's why I went with the K&N more so for looks than the total horsepower game. I like the way they look in the car also. Let me get a future worked out possibly and then maybe yellow Whipple will show its head.
There is no need for this since there is no tuning. The best thing you can do is run E20 or E30 blended 93. That will top out your octane and stop the car from pulling timing due to spark knock even on straight 93. You'll get the most power you can get from the stock tune. Since this car has wide bands and runs in closed loop, its going to offset any intake/exhaust changes you make in order to keep stoich point and nothing you do to open up any restrictions is going to change that or make any power. Without rescaling the MAF(s) or changing any of the VCT settings or mappoints for spark, the car is just going to correct itself back to its stock operation and completely cancel out any changes you make. Pull that off, return it and like I said run e20/30 blend or even a can of octanimum or boostane on a full tank of 93. Thats all you're going to get anything from. Former coyote tuner here.
Completely agree. I actually just posted a reel on Instagram talking about E30 mix from 93/91 and E85. You'd be surprised how many people were roasting me. Even tagging Alejandro Flores or whatever... Modern vehicles, domestic V8s mostly, can benefit from a little extra octane. Especially if the pump 93 isn't great. Good safety net for the car overall.
I got this put on quite a few years ago. I believe most garage door companies offer some sort of screen now or at least know of where you can get one. It is definitely nice when the weather's not hot and you're just trying to keep the bugs out
Has your check engine light come on just curious cause it’s not proper cold air since it’s not entirely sealed. Or does it seal when it touches the hood? I want to purchase one just want to know if it’s giving you any issues after installing.
It will whenever I go with the Whipple or ProCharger. Haven't decided which one will be visiting this car but I can't afford either one yet so we'll have to see
Oh I care about my cars but I think people give this set a hard time for whatever reason. I will be the guinea pig in this and we'll see where we end up. I make so many changes that who knows how long this is actually going to be on the car anyway.
Hello. Can you verify this with any proof? I have had K&Ns on 4 vehicles, 2000 F350 with V10 triton. Two 05 civics with 1.7L 4 cylinder. My 2024 Mustang GT. My buddy runs one on his 97 7.3 powerstroke. 0 issues.

I like it
They make a sinister bronze kit??
@@JohnCampos-uw1rh They don't I'm afraid. I had the 2 tubes painted by a local bodyshop.
look so sick
Thanks buddy

People like to talk for real but I see no issues so far
Agreed

Missed the car good to see you back
Got to keep changing it up
I can see those tubes yellow, great video. Keep grinding
I could see them too for real. We'll just have to see if I get bored one day
Cool video Joel! Love the mesh garage door you have to work on the vehicles!
Thanks
Good video man! Ordered mine a few days ago.
Thanks
The new intakes look great! I think the gray tube color compliments the engine bay and would leave it as is.
I'm thinking that too. I guess if I get bored with the look or don't change it as long other way I can always do it later

All I can say is it's all good. Things will work out the way they need to be.
Love all your Ford content. I have a 2024 fastback race red as well. But I’m sorry to say I’m not a fan of dodge
It's all good. My first truck that my wife got for me so I'm learning that myself.
keep the ram content coming i got 5th gen 19
Will do
Joel! I’m liking that screen wall you put up in the garage there, where is that from

No check engine lights and runs wonderfully. No issues at all and it looks pretty damn good from the factory one.
@@N2MYGT Thanks for the reply. I am going to get myself one. Do you have any sound clips?
I installed mine about 3 months ago and have had 0 issues. Hood closes perfectly
I installed mines on Father’s Day zero issues as well
How Much Hp More?
Need to go back to closed air box - better for the car

@@N2MYGT yeah no kidding cost is 😱
K/N has faster flow by filtering less particles.
If you care about your vehicle....
Don't.

Work thing ...? You had to go back to work ...? Lethal Performance has an air filter swap I was told ...?
Yeah I got to find something to do.
