@@eduardosalas4348 No-Tune intakes will not void your warranty, Ford cannot prove that the NO-Tune intake could cause any voidable damage. The minute you reflash, yep its voids the warranty because you changed the tune and they can blame the damage on that.
Happened to me saw utube, mikecanfixit, and I noticed he had red tab up, being correct and he actually started the car , am never started it,would've saved lot of trouble brother
I followed his directions to the letter... I had check engine lights and an engine that would not start or run... I was in the process of reinstalling the original intake when I realized the MAF was the only issue. I looked at the MAF... it's a directional unit. In the original intake, it's on the front side of the intake, black side up with airflow arrow pointing left towards the intake. When you follow these instructions you are installing the MAF upside down. The red clip on the connector is facing down in the video. The airflow indicator is in the opposite direction. So I flipped it and reinstalled the K&N. Red clip is on the top.. airflow is pointing towards the intake with shiny side up, but works. Runs fine now. Is my assesssment correct?
I came here for exactly this reason - haven't even completed my install yet, but caught his comment on the MAF that "you can only install it one way - the screws don't line up..." That is wrong, the screws do line up and you can put it in either way. Then I watched closely as he installed the MAF into the intake tube upside down - certain to throw a CEL. DON'T DO THAT! The sensor is directional - follow Dennis's comment above!!
I. Went through hell after your install direction s and my car would not starts when you put may sensor on other side of the new tube you have to flip it so red lock tab faces up . Luckily another vidio showed that now it runs. I noticed you didn't start the car after your install lol, very dissapointed in your vidio caused a lot of stress
100% flipped upside down ! Learned the hard way but regardless if you want to run an aftermarket CAI go ahead, if you want to stick with the stock CAI your choice
California is killing me, what NO-Tune cold air intake would you recommend for best power gains. I have been on the computer searching for hours and cannot seem to get an answer.. HELPPP! lol.
I don’t have this cai but I was just watching the video for fun and yes just like the other comments he installs the MAF incorrect. One that has experience or some experience can easily tell how the MAF needs to go for the computer to read it correctly and not throw the CEL. But if you are new and barely starting your own installs and literally follow his steps then you’ll just going to have a bad day. It will cause confusion and will get you frustrated and potentially in the future make you not buy upgrades or install them in the future. All thanks to poor instructions.
Check the MAF Sensor before you complete your install. The MAF sensor should be installed with the metal (shiny) side facing upward. The red connector on the harness should also be attached facing up. Instal it any other way and you're going to get a CEL for sure. Other than that, its a decent CAI. Also, expect higher than average IATs when sitting in traffic. It'll cool down fast once you're on the road.
Misleading For this car and this intake that they are showing you will not gain horse power. The stock intake system had bigger tubing The stock one was closed air box and only got its air from the front of the grill And if the intake doesn’t require a tune is a clear sign that it is not changing anything enough to where it needs a tune so basically you will have no HP gains and probably hotter IATs at idle
Chef Nutter I haven’t seen a difference between it and the PMAS I had on my 19 other than High ass IAT’s. When the weather is cooler, I may switch back... Still GAPS shit with the stock box 🍿😎
K&n says 22hp for installing this.. the design has an extra bend over other cai’s and also has smaller tubing. The best dyno proven cai is the JLT 120 and that one is only 11 hp with no tune or around 30-35 with a tune. K&n are fucking drunk if they think this picks up 22hp lol

What intake would you recommend for 2019 Mustang GT thats california legal?
You guys are making people stress the hell out by telling them to install their MAF sensor upside down and causing their car to not start.

Exact thing happened to me and a few other ppl
How well does the heat shield do at keeping IATs lower. I know they tend ro run high with most intakes
Do you need a tune for this intake?
Nope! No tune is required for this K&N Series 63. You'll see better gains with proper tuning as always though! -Zach
no dyno? 👎
No dyno!!!!! WHat in the hell

Plastic fittings on a $350+ intake? No thanks
What is the point if you don't dyno it?

Upside down MAF sensor had me in a panic ! Not sure why they left this vid up or at least edit it ffs. Thought I had to get it towed.
Will this fit on a 2019 ecoboost?

The actual filter is still better tho. Still going to barely do anything.
Eric Steiburg you could do a K&N drop in air filter on the stock intake box.
What a waste of time and money. Some people sure are dumb.
I got a engine light from after I install what you think it is?
I'm hoping my light goes of soon, did yours?
@@paulbramucci7586 it went away 20 mins after
Why the extra bend?😲
The stock airbox is fine on these cars with a drop in....
lol
I hace an 18 intake on my 17 lol gain 5 more then the roush cai

Spend the money on ceramic coating, you'll get better performance gain(joke) and be 50 state legal.
This hot air intake😂
