I tried to post this days ago but yt was mean 😠. I use a knockoff pocket rules especially the 6in one as a ghetto square. I'm not doing too much nice woodworking here a banfile is often my chisel. I love the stainless steel versions of any of thoes squares feels solid and premium. I have a 50 year old speedsquare that's solid stainless steel loved it so much I had a cnc buddy remake it for me. Both dfm and igang have a stainless version of a bench square or speed square i have both in 4 / 7in. Thoes are a tremendous value in my book not garbage not 100s like woodpeckers. I rarely use any square over 4.5 trim size. As someone that kept the machines at Leatherman going I know how much work and appreciate made in the usa even if a cnc machines did it. Enjoyed the tour thanks!
Thanks Matt, if you ever want a Woodpecker square get the Delve square, that thing is a tank, I have multiple squares from many manufacturers, but I seem to grab that Delve first
Great video, Steve! Those squares have some functions I didn’t even know existed. For somebody like me, not a woodworker but a DIY’er with some perfectionist tendencies, which one of those squares would you recommend for general use?
