It doesn't matter how old the video is it's worth the re-upload this man has a creative mind. I wish I could get my entire kitchen in that design From cupboards to counter top stool and every wooden surface My Lord this is magnificent
Love your videos and work! I love woodturning too, but man I'd be thrilled to have just half your skills - and shop equipment too! :) Top notch hands down
That is a stunning stool and looks fairly simple to maske if you take your time. Thankfully I hear you didn't spend yesterday making this but its a Blue Peter style of Here's 1 I Made Earlier 😂 Cracking job Jack 😊
This may be a two year reupload video, as some troll grumbled. But it was worth the rewatch! It's always a good thing to see a masterpiece being made. PS, I wouldn't mind seeing the rerun on that mallet you used in this video.
I’m glad you enjoyed it buddy, I’m excited to start producing new contents in my new workshop. I think il also continue to post the odd reshare as people clearly enjoy it. I’ve got a new mallet video come too 😏💪🏻👍🏻
Thank you. I’m glad that you enjoyed it enough to hit the subscribe button, I will have new videos weekly in the new year and you have about 200 old videos already on here to work your way through. Enjoy ☺️
Thank for sharing, great looking stool. I’m not a turner but I really enjoyed watching the stool evolve without narration. I’m also not a laminated stool maker so this is not a criticism, however, I’m wondering if the seat was a little thinner if the stool would have still been solid?
Was this a commissioned piece or do you still have it? Kind of cool to think of you sitting on this woodworking piece while working on new ones. Very stylish stool! 😊
Great video. 2 questions: would to consider a video showing how you sharpen your tools? An, what’s the purpose of the wood chip in the hand against the wood after you’ve sanded?
Yeah as Greg said it’s burnishing, cheers for that Greg. I am creating tutorial videos in the new year. Sharpening will be the first of these videos. I’m sure all turners will find my tutorials very helpful indeed.
My question is how did you get a good fit where the main legs enter the bored holes in the bottom of the seat when it looked like those leg holes were drilled straight vertical into the seat bottom? I’ve made myself a shop stool of something similar but those holes had to be bored at a compound angle to make the legs splayed out enough and fit the bored holes at the correct angles.
That push block is TOO CLOSE TO THE BLADE! Judging by the bruises and nicks on your hands, you are not the most aware or careful carpenter. You need to be afraid to a degree and careful with the machines and tools. If not. You are gonna lose fingers. I quarantee this.
Jeeez, you people. That pusher is absolutely fine running over the blade,, it’s made of plywood, there is no harm in it being cut by the running blade. It is sacrificial and the perfect way to make tight cuts like that. Experienced woodworkers know this stuff. You don’t know it but you are part of the group of people who ruin real information on the internet by giving advice when you lack appropriate experience or expertise.
Jack, WellAwesome build! Did you try to make this video sexy, or is it just a ‘side effect’?? 😉Anyhow, thank you for sharing your time, your skills, your talent and your amazing adventure. As always. 👍🤟🎨🪡

Great video. 2 questions: would to consider a video showing how you sharpen your tools? An, what’s the purpose of the wood chip in the hand against the wood after you’ve sanded?
With the chips he’s burnishing the wood. It’s like using really fine sandpaper

Hi Jack Mack, great looking stool. Can I ask about the legs going into the seat at an angle into what seem to be vertical holes?
👍👏👏👏
Thank you
🎄⭐️❤️👍
Are you kidding me? Wow.
Good wow ?
Muy bonito el butaco, que aceite o pintura le aplica para el acabado?
This stool was finished with danish oil
That drill press is the most unnecessary use of modern tech I’ve ever seen. It’s also the only kind of tool I want in my woodshop.
Haha, it easy to think that at a glance. But it’s actually very useful especially for drilling non through holes and metals
🎉
👌
Thank you
Wow, stunning. What would this cost to purchase?

Ha! I just blew the screen when you finished cutting out the stool top on the bandsaw… duh!
