  • Today we dive into what has become not only one of my favorite rods, but one of my favorite rod lines I've discovered in the past few years. The Falcon Cara has consistently performed and impressed regardless of what model I pick up. The Amistad seems to do everything I throw at it, and do it exceptionally well. So much so, that it made me sell my NRX+! If you're considering a rod at the $250 price point, The Falcon Cara Amistad should be on your list!

One of the best jig and frog rods made IMO

Falcon rods are what I've been using for around 25 years... I think the NRX+ is a better rod but not enough better to spend the extra money on one. I own more Amistad rods from the BuCoo series to the Cara then any other blank including a couple of the Amistad extra heavies. Great video man!!!

Okay man be honest. I want a jig rod that is light and real sensitive but don’t know if I should get the falcon or a mega bass levante or orochi(minus the thought of warranty)

@@colorado_koolaid2625 100% honest opinion from me here!
While I thoroughly enjoy Megabass spinning rods, I haven't found a casting model that I love yet. in my experience, they tend to be a little heavy and out of balance, which doesn't bother some people. I've heard great things about the Perfect Pitch for jigs however. Levantes are also some of the most beautiful rods on the market in my opinion.
To me, the Falcon Cara Amistad is the clear choice. It is balanced beautifully, priced right between the Levante and Orochi at $250, has a great warranty (lifetime vs 1 yr for megabass), and is incredibly versatile as I said in the review. There's a reason I sold my NRX+ and now own 12 Falcons!
