@@yunshenghe932 exactly, you shouldn't 'bother' other people if you are spreading your faith/religion. it should be done peacefully so as not to bother people. but it isn't just that. just as people will seek help for their physical health, people will always seek spiritual guides/beliefs/religions in pursuit of their spritual health or curiousity. but no religion should ever be forced taught to people.

Religions especially the four common Abrahamic religions are mind controls to create wars and conflicts between humans. Most of the wars in world history since their creations have been started by them, often fighting each other among themselves. China is being too loose to allow the most dangerous threat to the human race to exist in China, in my opinion religions shouldn't be allowed in China at all. The world can only have peace when there are no religions.

@@JalomMatiaThe Chinese have their own mythology system and do not need to spread it. Christianity requires people to worship God, but Chinese religion does not. China's religious system does not worship God, but reaches a tacit understanding with God. This is caused by the different histories of Asia and Europe. Both sides also suffered a great flood thousands of years ago. The Western record is that God sent Noah's Ark to save the world, while the Eastern record is that humans managed and defeated the flood through their own efforts. There is a fundamental difference. It is useless for humans to worship gods if they cannot solve the problems they encounter.

First time I went to China maybe 11 years ago, there was headlines in Sweden stating All mosqos was closed in China, funny since I was just meters away from several that was open and active. Shortly shortly after similar headlines stating all churches in China was closed, we was in Shanghai that time and there several churches was open... It's nothing but manufacturing consent and pure propaganda.

Religion should be a private matter. The Western weaponize religion. That can only hurt religion in the end. In China, no one will bother you if you practice your religion privately. What may get you into trouble if you use religion as a weapon for political activity. We all know that Falan Kung is banned in China. But very few know why. Falan Kung was freely practiced in China for a long period of time until its founder mobilized its members to surround the Zhong Nanhai, the China's equivalent of the White House , making political demands.

And kids under 18 years of age are not allowed to be indoctrinated by their parents’ religious beliefs. Instead they are only allowed to attend religious ceremonies once they are 18 years old as this will give them a choice in whether to follow a religion.
However, many religious freaks are afraid of such age restrictions as they lose out on believers when they can’t brainwash them at young age.

As a Chinese, I really appreciate you spreading the truth. Most Chinese people have no religious belief, so they have no contradiction or hostility toward religion, but oppose crimes in the name of religion. Chinese people's own beliefs are mostly philosophical, mainly the combination of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism(儒释道). In particular, Tao(道) is the Chinese people's cognition of the laws of nature. Everything must be rational(道理), moral(道义), and ethical(道德).
There is an old Chinese saying :
    “上善若水。水善利万物而不争,居众人之所恶。故几于道。”
“Perfect natural relationships are like water. Water is good at nourishing all things and has its own form, and does not compete with everyone in the place that everyone hates (the ditch). So water is closest to Tao in behavior.”

You are completely wrong. China has the highest degree of religious freedom in the world. This is not a recent phenomenon. China has the highest degree of religious freedom in the world for the last 2,000 years. In the West, you have to go back to the Roman Empire to have that kind of religious freedom. You can believe in any religion and the government could not care less.
The problem comes when you insist on intruding into government policy in the name of religion. You need to leave whatever belongs to Caesar to Caesar. The Church does not have the right to put its finger in government affairs in the name of religious freedom.

The following article is written by Ismail Bashmori, he is an Egyptian China watcher.
The truth is that China is the greatest country on the face of the earth. It makes all other countries look insignificant and contemptible. It is the most brilliant, most industrious, most ambitious, most educated, meritocratic and technocratic, most modern, sophisticated, and civilised, and best-governed by far.
It is the first non-white, non-Western country to reach this status since the 1600s. The determination of this country is indescribable. Supernatural. There is no force that can stop it from accomplishing anything it wants to do. 。
It doesn’t matter who we are. Egyptians, Syrians, Pakistanis, Indians, Africans, even Americans. Next to the Chinese, we are pathetic. We can’t do what they do. We would have a mountain, an Everest of changes to make, and we would whine and bicker and fail at every one of them. China’s story since the 1980s has been one of an almost divine metamorphosis. 。
Next to China the entire Western world from Alaska to New Zealand has stagnated. Next to China the entire developing world from Brazil to Madagascar has progressed only at a crawl.
China is the mother of all gargantuan bullet trains. Every day it manages to create something new and astonishing. And unlike the United States, unlike the British Empire, unlike the French, Dutch, Germans, Spanish, Portuguese or any other Western nation that had its turn at being a superpower in the past four centuries, China doesn’t need to run anybody over or take something from somebody else, to rise majestically.
China is also standing up to the West all by herself. The West can’t believe their four-hundred-year-old global supremacy is being challenged. They hoped that the more China developed, the more it would submit to their influence, interests, and leadership. That didn’t happen. So now they will do anything possible, short of a nuclear war, to make China end.
Their goal is to destroy this country. That’s why, although the United States has killed several million people and turned several regions of the earth into hellscapes.
China is the worst fear of our planet’s Western masters. They want you to despise and dread a country that’s done nothing to you, that hasn’t invaded anyone, bombed or sanctioned anyone, that hasn’t overthrown any foreign government, or used its military on anything since 1979.
China is the only major country in the nonwhite developing world, to stand up to the West. To look it in the eye when challenged or threatened.
The Global South are simply Western puppets who submitted long ago. Even the most powerful ones. Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India.
Above only part of the article, you can read the full article under the following link.

And this wars, against all varieties of sovereign nations. From going against the Sultan of Morocco, to invading the tiny island of Grenada. Well, this means that in its entire history, it has only had 17 years of peace, and even fewer, cuz here the almost 5 years (1861-1865), of its Civil War of Secession are not counted (Union/Confederates), since this war was not with another country, but against US. And the wars against the Native Nations of America are not counted too, for the same reason). Anyway: US fought against 29 countries. It has "Grown" 711 times the size of its territory from the original 13 colonies. It has provoked with total impunity, Genocides, inside and outside its own borders, and assassinations of Gov’t. Leaders, Coups d'État and Economic Blockades in 6 UN member nations. (Between 1947 and 1989, the US tried to change other nations gov’ts. 73 times. It includes 66 covert Ops. And 7 overt ones. In Civil Wars: The US has taken advantage of and intervened without justification in the following Civil Wars: In Cuba (1898 and 1960). In Haiti (1813 and then 1915-1934). In Colombia (1899-1902 and 1948). In Mexico (1847 and 1914 and again in 1916). In Russia (1918). In the "Republic Banana Wars" of Central America (1912-1934). In Venezuela (1945 and again in 1948). In China (1857, and 1900, and again in 1945-1946-1949). In Korea (1950-1953). In Viet Nam (1959-1975). In Panama (1964 and again 1989). In Central Africa (1969-1974 and 1982-1988). In Nicaragua (1937 and 1985). In Bosnia (1995). In the Philippines (1898 and 1900)... In Kosovo, Libya, Lebanon, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan, etc.). And more: US has almost 800 Military Bases scattered around the world; 93 of which are against China. On the other hand, China and N. Korea (The "Axis of Evil"), in 1,000 years of history have NEVER invaded anyone. These nations have fought their Civil Wars, defended themselves against foreign invasions, and secured their immediate borders, but they have never been meddling or aggressor countries. Do you know how many Military Bases China or N. Korea have outside their territory? None. Zero. Any. NADA! They do not have a single Base. These are verifiable facts. Neither China nor Korea will invade the world; US does... that's DONE, as US does in the Middle East. Iran also does not have a SINGLE MILITARY BASE outside its national territory, and it is surrounded by 16 US Bases, and it is US who call the Iranians Terrorists. Well, very good. You already know. Now, compare the Greatness of the US with the Greatness of China. The "Greatness" of the US is built on the foundations of Piracy, Slavery, Genocide, the Assassination of opponents, Opium Traffic, or Cocaine in its case, and is under the foundations of the weakness of other sovereign nations. That's where the "lawful" comes in. Religion should be practiced as a personal and private affair. Religious organizations should be taking care of their adherents spiritual needs, not get mixed into politics. Once you mixed religion into politics, then that organization should be examine and banned if necessary. Religion and politics are extremely dangerous because that's how you get religious extremists committing heinous acts, breaking the law, sedition, infiltrating the government and creating its own government within a government while inviting outside forces seeking to destabilize the country. Religion is important for the well-being of the people but it cannot be a trojan horse for a country's destruction.

Here's my 2 cents worth opinion. Cults (just don't tell me FLG is a religion) are banned in China. We have seen grievances caused by cults too often. Imposing a religion on young ones is illegal. I reckon it's a human right not to be made a follower by parent's will. Chinese culture has morphed into tolerance and embracing, instead of being exclusive, and hence peace. In the past hundreds of years, China didn't have extensive war due to religious causes. The Taiping rebellion was started by a wannabe cult leader. Those "One God only" religions are not the most dominant one in China, thank "God"!

It's not possible, the west culture have formed the ideologic of self-governance from ancient Greece, back to that time, even the generals were take turns for commanding. After that and till the mid century, ppl had gone trough wars, suffers, yet the needs for self-governance is not change at all and renaissance came after. It's not like they found a better way so they will take it, no, it does not work like that. Then whole western culture is based on the balance between central power and elections, which is called democracy.
So does the Asians, Asian countries will take whatever is the best to develop the country, ppl there are just pragmatism. You see China is a communism society, yet it's more like a combination of capitalism and communisms, which basically the Chinese citizens are actually living in a capitalism life meanwhile the major industries are under control of the government.
Even if further future some countries learned to the Chinese system, yet the seed of self-governance will still been planted under the soil.

      @isaacbauman8174 5 місяців тому

@@bubbleseeker I agree with you that is not possible. but can you go deeper on this point? in fact, I don't agree with that you give reasons. For example, why did ancient Greece have the consciousness of autonomous people? What is the economic basis of their sense of self-government? For example, if a family did not have enough to eat or wear warmly every day more than 2,000 years ago, would they become more independent or more dependent? If the dependence was dependent on God, or on a certain collective? At that time, the consciousness of the autonomous people was only in the slave owners, because the slaves' labor made the slave owners' lives okay. As for slaves, their food and clothing were not that important.
This is the reason why Christianity spread quickly when it came to Greece and Roma, because slaves needed a God or heaven to give them hope so that they could pray for happiness in the next life. In addition, people in the Middle Ages believed in God and the suffering caused by original sin to Western people.
There are many issues worth discussing.

I grew up in Hong Kong and California, attended Catholic and Christianity schools but never gained the talent of faith which I deemed fortunate. I have been living in China for a long time. Like you said religion is all free in China on a personal level but the preaching of religion is not allowed in schools and I like that.
A few hundred ago western missionaries were not welcomed in many countries including Japan and China. At a time when most were undereducated and poor, beliefs could easily stir unrest. Therefore the governments banned them. Curbing the spread of western religion was a main reason China and Japan only opened one seaport to accommodate foreign ships and traders. Inspite of the efforts, the religion or cult centered Boxer Rebellion cause 30 million or more civilian deaths circa 1900. In fact certain elements of religious war are in process right before our eyes in Palestine.
In many former western colonies such as HK or present proxies such as Japan, a lot of non believers autonomously celebrate Christmas or hold wedding ceremonies at a church where the bride embrace putting on a wedding gown as dream come true, or something high class and chic. Personally I despise that kind of social practice. I would bluntly regard them as nonsense, no offence.
When I was younger I always found it a mystery that if God was a good guy, why threaten to send me to hell if I didn’t believe? Later I tend to conclude that although the saints are mysterious, religions have mostly been used as a political tool for rulers of populations, perhaps like Trump praying for Covid at the NYC church holding a Bible.
BTW, running down the screen I can see you seldom use sarcastic or funny titles like this one-China has NO religious freedom. It’s not a practice. More passers by read your title without clicking to watch your video, especially people with limited English skills would not recognise the sarcasm and therefore have their brains more washed as a result. To most of Chinese people (who are generally agnostic) what your personal beliefs and religious views doesn’t concern them. As most of us believe in spirits and ancestors. Maybe it will matter to couples who want to get married, but no one cares about fighting over religion. You do you, don’t try to push me. And we just hang out. I personally never understood religious wars😅people fighting over which intangible deity is right?
I believe that there’s countless deities that exist, spiritual or religious. But fighting over it is like going to war because you disagree on your zodiac signs or something.
I get that this may be offensive, but I don’t see the point in people dying for this stuff. Just feels like people being manipulated by their rulers, except they won’t admit it. Also the extremism and superiority complex should stay far away from religion. Very sad and violent incidents occur because of poor teachings. Anyone that promotes their own beliefs as superior to others is immediately a red flag to me.

The key is that the Chinese have had a different conception of religion from the very start. They saw religions not as systems of dogmas or rules presided over by clergy and political hierarchies, but as spiritual philosophies best experienced at the individual level. Thus, each individual chose from each religion or spiritual tradition--Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, etc--what resonated with that person, what fit in with their worldview, creating their own sensibility. China, in other words, had a syncretic view of religion, so the above-named religions evolved with a more flexible, tolerant outlook--which was very different from the top-down, dogmatic outlook of the Western religions (Christianity, Buddhism, Islam) which have been prone to intolerance.

    • @yzy8638

since Chinese takover in HK, the HK Christian schools that have been there for decades can no longer pray at the school, and other things. not very religious freedom. and in mainland China, churches cannot minister in public or spread the gospel, and cannot to humanitarian aid, unless through the CCP. so there are some big restrictions, but yes, you can go to church.

Prior to the Court's ruling (Engel v. Vitale ), it was not unusual for public schools to lead students in a Christian prayer at the start of the school day. But this didn't sit well with a group of predominantly Jewish families in Hyde Park, New York who believed the prayer violated their children's constitutional rights. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed, ruling 6-1 (Engel v. Vitale, 1962) that school-sponsored prayer violated the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Another issue is the difference in public perception. In the West people would call them being a part of a religion even if they don't ever attend to a church regularly. In China, people ONLY consider them being religous for actively and routinely practicing a religion. So to the Chinese, praying once or twice in a temple for good luck doesn't count as religious.

They don't understand how China policy works on religion... Like any private matters, you can do whatever you like privately or in your bedroom...
The minute you bring them out openly, then that is no, no... All different believers have to respect each other and cannot do things the way they personally think or their organization's believes that they can do or practise openly...
That's why security permissions are required from the authorities, so that such activities are legitimate and not in the form of superstition...

When discussing about religion, westerners often overlooked what Chinese people do religiously but not necessarily classified as a religion and that is ancestor worship. The popularity of ancestor worship can be gauged by the people mountain people sea on visiting gravesites on Qingming festival. Chinese people also have an alter at home with pictures of their ancestors. And many pray on a regular basis. There’s no restrictions on having other religions in ancestor worship. You can be Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, and still have an alter with your ancestors tabernacle.

  • @yqisq6966
    @yqisq6966 5 місяців тому

Well the reality is more like restrictions rather than outright ban. For one thing, you can't create a new religion from scratch but you can only join a religion that existed historically. You are also not allowed to practice a religion until the age of 18. You are also not allowed to preach a religion in public spaces but only in specific sites such as a church or a mosque. Of course in practice there are a lot of gray zones and nobody cares what you do unless you start causing social harms. Afterall, modern China is an athiest state and it's fundamentally different from the US which is deeply religious. The American standard is certainly biased.

      I come from Israel lol
I think I can understand China fully because of the fact that religion can ruin a country. So if China "Wants" to even delete religion, it has more merits than demerits.
1: Religions are bad due to the fact they're oppressive. Iran is a perfect example of that. Israel is more like "We're Assholes and we have the rights to act like that because according to religion, we're "GOD'S" Son and no one can touch us or else..." Type of bullshit
2: When people from different religions state something about how a country should be or how to discuss it 100% percent they'll disagree and wars emerge.
3: in 1 I mentioned Iran. But Israel is also the same. It feels like I can't pick a side on this Palestine/Israel war because it goes against religion. In Israel people are very rude if you disrespect what's being said in the media. So oppression happens. I never felt more oppressed in my entire life. And I never wanted anything related to this war.
When China tries to actually do a good thing because they know how dangerous a religious country can be people are going against that. And that's pretty Fucked up in my opinion. China can Ban or not ban religion. Either way it won't matter since as you described, China is an open country when it comes to believing in religion or not. I think every country should be like that. Believe in something that will bring your demise in the end isn't recommended but as long it doesn't disrupt the peace in China it's allowed.
