Instead of admitting that she didnt put enough thought into this, or do any research AT ALL, Anna choses to double down & pretend that she carefully considered every aspect of this project. Anna can't learn from her mistakes if she's unable to admit that she makes mistakes. She is exhausting.
With her saying she didn't wanna saturate the market with tunic length. She obviously didn't pay attention in marketing 101 class because that's generally a sign it's selling well and that what people want. When making clothes you don't go by what you want, it's what the consumer would want. Her target market doesn't want cropped sweaters. We are in our 30-40s we want cozy sweaters that don't risk showing our abdomen. She obviously didn't take in account bust size. I'm very busty and 5'11" those would show my abdomen. Not sure why she can't admit she did it wrong and be honest that she can't fix it, but will do it on the next collection. Boom your reputation is recovered. Who would have thought honesty would work?
That is a great point- bust size. For a large woman, Anna has very small breasts. Not judging, just stating fact. So a short/cropped sweater on a woman with a large bust will ride up even higher.
Look at where her waist is in the first outfit, she does not have a long torso relative to her height! Also look at how much more loose and boxy the sweaters look on the other women than Anna.
She is trying so hard to sell these and it is not working. They don’t fit properly. They are loose and cheap looking. You can tell they are not selling because if you have to push the product this much it means they are not selling. And side note she does not have a long torso. She has a short torso with long legs. They are cute patterns but the fit of the sweater is loose on every one. she is using cheap material to sell at a higher price.
I bought a really beautifull christmas sweater with a koala on it. I paid about 21 USD at the local supermarket. PS: Our Queen of Denmark is originally from Tasmania. Ever since she married our crown prince (now the King of Denmark) I have seen more and more products from Australia. It's awesome ❤❤❤❤ I cannot believe Anna's christmas sweaters costing 45 USD.
You are correct MommaGoob! 67 yr. old nana here, and we had those lights on our REAL Christmas tree when I was a kid in the 1960's sizes C4 and C7 ...one size for the tree and the other for the trees outside. Also, BTW...no need for a poll. Let's just get rid of EVERY "Journey" (except for my favorite 70's-80's band)
I find it a bit ironic that the only one who looked like the sweater fits on was the thinnest model; not the best look for someone aiming at a plus size audience. The rest of the sweaters look too short imho
I've been waiting for this video!! Yes to the poll. I hate the word journey now because of Anna. On the sweaters they look like granimals for adults. She dresses like a 400 pound toddler. And just because she likes to wear everything two sizes too small most of us don't. Lastly most of these prints are not unique. Her pajamas are very similar to a pair at Walmart by joyspun just the joyspun has cars with the trees but they are both pink. Also the black sweather with lights I've seen at Walmart and Penneys too. Maybe a smaller print.
On the one hand, I feel that in the past Anna's go-to response would've been, "Don't like it? Don't follow me!", so she has at least made an effort to improve her attitude. On the other hand, the video wasn't very helpful. Instead of having the models talk about their hobbies and stuff it would've been better for them to state their height, size (not the sweaters' size, the models' size) and the length of their torso. P.S. Even if I had a chance, I wouldn't buy any of those sweaters - they're so ugly they're next-level ugly
Did Anna call those lights on the black cardigan ornaments??? It just shows she didn’t design these. Like Mama Goob said, she just slapped her name on sweaters already made. And she looks huge compared to the other women.
She is not a pattern maker or a professional clothes designer. A lot of work goes into designing and making clothing. I know because my mom was a swimwear designer and pattern maker. Makes me mad when someone that doesn’t know what she’s doing thinks because she got some sweaters made for her is now a pro?
If someone has long legs AND a long torso they are proportionally sized. She has a shorter torso - not sure who told her it was long. Just admit that making the tops shorter was the wrong move, have heard the feedback and will make sure to consider this next time. There is no way Anna is only one size larger than the woman next to her at 14:20…or it may explain all the pulling and poor fitting trying to squeeze into a 3XL.
I'm 💯 with you MommaGoob. Anna isn't listening to feedback because she wants to, she's listening because Daddy UA-cam Morbucks is watching. 👀 She's big mad, deep down.
Its kinda odd to be selling these things when the time frame is so short to sell this crap. She has 3 weeks max to sell the hell out of those plastic sweaters bc who’s gonna buy them after xmas?!??
The reason tunic length exists for plus size clothing is because that's what looks good. A 28 inch length hits mid -hip, so it's not exposing your stomach but it's not super long. 30 inch length is just below the hip and 32 inch covers everything lol. I don't know how she thinks she has a long torso. Look where her waist is! These sweaters, aesthetics aside, just don't flatter plus sized women. That said, when the model is wearing the appropriate size, it looks much better. Anna is always wearing clothing that is way too small. I'm not body shaming at all. I've lost 200lbs and have a bit more to go, so it's not a matter of how large or small a person is. It's just a matter of how clothing fits your current body.
shout out to the ladies who remember when ugly christmas sweater mom made you wear to the family dinner at christmas was a thing and not for funsies because you're so quirky.
She is definitely trying to push those ugly sweaters because I’m sure they’re not selling. People are NOT paying $45+ for cheaply made joke clothing. In addition, the cut of the sweaters is unflattering for a number of body shapes, and it shows in her video. I am very surprised that with her marketing background, she didn’t read the room before launching the sweaters. I’m with you that she was too stubborn to listen to the company’s advice, AND she thought that her fans would buy the crap because her name is on it.
There’s a huge difference between a tunic and a crop. As a tall person, a cropped Christmas sweater is just going to look like it doesn’t fit me correctly.
From the very first showing of these sweaters and pjs, I thought the tops were cropped, but now after watching multiple people critiquing them, I believe that Anna just is wearing the wrong size (imagine that)…. These tops do NOT fit her, she doesn’t have a long torso… and some of those pj pants, well lets just say too much is showing through….eeeewwwwwww…
Hated shoulder pads! Technically I am a millennial, but I’m old enough to remember all the things you reference lol. My daughters love 90s fashion ironically.
OK, I don't know anything about the clothing industry, but it does look like Anna's sweaters are basically the standard length for the brand. It looks to me like they have 3 cuts of the cardigans to choose from but everything else is just one option. So, my guess is that Anna didn't actually have a lot of choice regarding the cut of the clothes, but she either does not want to, or cannot (due to NDA) reveal that.
I often wear 'ugly' Christmas sweaters starting November, but I don't think they're ugly so I like wearing them 🤷♀🤷♀ 'ugly Christmas sweater' has just become a general name for any kind of Christmas sweater I'm starting to think xD (I think Anna's are ugly, I don't like those designs but that's my opinion)
I don’t every plus size woman wants tunic size sweaters but all of these are cropped .. I am not sure why all of them are she should have had a variety of them
Instead of admitting that she didnt put enough thought into this, or do any research AT ALL, Anna choses to double down & pretend that she carefully considered every aspect of this project.

Seeing other women in the sweaters told us what we already knew: Anna is incapable of buying/wearing clothing in the correct size.
She's not being truthful. She probably just white labeled stuff that was already made. She had no say other than picking her favorite design
I agree with you. These weren’t “designed” by her. She picked a few designs that she liked.
That's what I thought from the beginning.
Look at where her waist is in the first outfit, she does not have a long torso relative to her height! Also look at how much more loose and boxy the sweaters look on the other women than Anna.
I'm 43 and a size 8 and I buy tunic-length sweaters. I don't know why she thought people wouldn't want a decent-fitting sweater.
the sweaters fit better on the other women (I think), Anna is just wearing a size that's way too small -_- But GOD FORBID she admits to that
OMG! Shoulder pads! I always ripped those out of my clothes. My shoulders are defined enough. 😂
I find her so unbelievably detached from reality, but she talks as if she knows exactly what is going on and is very intelligent... she's a pillock
I actually love YOUR Christmas sweater; it’s genuinely vintage style, and it’s LONG enough! 🩷
Momma Goob your retro Christmas sweater is awesome 🎄☃️
I never needed shoulder pads, so I took them out and put them in my bra- where I definately DID need them!!!😂

I don’t know where Anna thinks she has a long torso. It’s obvious that she has a short torso but she has very long legs.
anna is the last person on the planet i would want to buy fashion from. hmmmm, i wonder why?

Oh yes, we can keep journey the band 100%
By the time Christmas comes round ,she will need to have those awful pyjamas ,surgically removed😂
😂😂😂
I find it a bit ironic that the only one who looked like the sweater fits on was the thinnest model; not the best look for someone aiming at a plus size audience.
The rest of the sweaters look too short imho

Anna really loves her cropped tops. 🙄
Did Anna call those lights on the black cardigan ornaments??? It just shows she didn’t design these. Like Mama Goob said, she just slapped her name on sweaters already made. And she looks huge compared to the other women.
The sweater is to short, when you have a stomach and hips that length will cut you. Longer is better , more slender looking.
She is not a pattern maker or a professional clothes designer. A lot of work goes into designing and making clothing. I know because my mom was a swimwear designer and pattern maker. Makes me mad when someone that doesn’t know what she’s doing thinks because she got some sweaters made for her is now a pro?
It hardly even gets cold in Texas for longer than a second; Same in Huntsville AL, we just now are getting fall weather!

We need a swear jar for the word journey 😂
Good idea 😂
@@mommagoob We will save you enough money for a vacation! Get planning. You deserve it
My favorite Christmas characters!! 1X 2X 3X 4X and 5X! 😂
I'm 💯 with you MommaGoob. Anna isn't listening to feedback because she wants to, she's listening because Daddy UA-cam Morbucks is watching. 👀
She's big mad, deep down.
💯
Shoulder pads and sky high hair 😂

🤣 I'm a millennial who lived through the 80s and I don't remember wearing anything like that. 😁
It was only on tv!! 😂
I'm a boomer who married in 1980 and had kids starting in 81....you are correct! We DEFINITELY didn't wear ANYTHING like that. lol
I like your christmas sweater lol, it's vintagey ironic so it's def in style 🤪
shout out to the ladies who remember when ugly christmas sweater mom made you wear to the family dinner at christmas was a thing and not for funsies because you're so quirky.
Your sweater - I’m literally LOL’ing! You’re a good sport!!! 🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻🎄🎄
😁

5:10 wow. She seems super wide today

you STARTED on Black Friday? °-° djeez respect woman °-°
That is a true Christmas sweater and made better than they are now.
All of those girls are tall. Shouldve shown on a 5'0-ish girlie
Everyone I am sure had a script and it said to say they like them. I’d rather wear yours than any of hers!

Her sweaters are a no 😂 your sweater is cute though
I was just at walmart. They have some cute Christmas sweaters out and they cover your butt and stomach!
Momma!❤
You do not have a long body.

I like the Christmas light sweater but not the cat on it
Same!
Their short af.. damn near belly shirt😂
I’m as old as your sweater!
Everything she wears is always way too tight.. what size is she? She showed different sizes but what size is she??
