You have to get to a certain level to buy properties. I forget which level it is. Do some contracts and get your level up and the property for sale will starting showing up on your tablet. Also there is a setting that turns your vehicle on when you get in.
To divide a room into two room types, you just plan it out without adding interior walls. For example, one big room but you do half of it as kitchen and half as dining room. It works like that to separate one room into two room types. You can make the entire house all one room if you really wanted to with just a bunch of open room concepts but yeah that's how that works. Try it next time, you'll see what I mean. As for the decorating part of building contracts, the list it gives is uh....not entirely what is NEEDED per say, but what is suggested for that room type. So a living room might call for a couch and 2 armchairs, but the room will only fit an armchair so it makes no sense. It's basically saying that a living room typically has those things in it, so unless it's specifically saying to buy it in the mission menu itself, don't sweat what shows up when inside the room unless you want to get more decoration points and xp. Also, you are actually refunded for anything you put in the building even if it wasn't asked for. Just a few tips for ya xP, your videos got me into the game lol and I brought my roommate into the game and she loves it a lot already so figured I'd help ya with what we've learned. Also yes, the siding it all fixed now. I don't recommend adding doors and windows before the design calls for it as they will bug out without screws to put them in properly and they won't count for being in there even when they are. So unless it's saying to do it when it comes to the building side of it, definitely don't do them out of order or it will screw it all up and be unable to progress to the next step. The only fix we found for it was a complete restart by closing steam too. Oh, and the best way to get a lot of money fairly easy is the demolish contracts (not the story ones but the random gen ones). They not only pay you for destroying it, but you get a huge amount of trash, as well as be able to sell the furniture it has to extract. (For us, we were getting like 80k from a 25k contract because of that).
As for the property buying, focus on the "side goals" tab in the tablet to get to it quicker. It has you change hairstyle and clothes and such, after you do all those you get to a "buy a property" one where you'll unlock that feature and be able to buy your own property that way.
with what you did in the last episode you placed a wall and then erased it and you erased the floor tile so you would have to place floor tiles back down after
It may be a glitch in the game. I had a similar thing where I couldn't unlock the online store. Had to start another game or play another saved game that had it unlocked. The Guide Book tells you how to unlock it.
I've got a pretty good GPU and haven't had any problems with crashes., even on high settings. Didn't lose my game after the update either. I really hope you give House Flipper 2 another go I really enjoy your expertise
@@princessandzipper4737 I am lucky. I'm building a village in House Flipper 2 sandbox mode at the moment and it's huge. I just haven't put in any lights yet because I have heard they might have a part in the crashes
You are right ! Too often some indie game dev just wants to make a quick buck by making some asset flip and call it a game and then don't support it . Good to see that so far this game is supported ! I dont know if you've reached it yet but wait till you have to build the 2nd and 3rd house lol i wont say any spoiler but get ready haha Also if you love that game you should give " Builder Simulator " a try . It was made s few years ago and is very similar to this game . Some mechanics are almost identical ! You can also track progress of a job via the Tablet under the Mission tab . You will be able to see a full lidt of what need to be done in each room ( building and decorating ) As for buying properties , you will receive a notification in the morning saying what property are for sale . You can access them via the " property " tab in your tablet them buy it in the " property for sale " . Once bought , you can go at your land and destroy / clean everything . When its done , you need to go at the city hall to validate everything . Only when that step is done you can come back to your land and select the " next step / stage " on the little sign to build what you want on it and then sell it via the same sign or you can post it online at auction via the auction menu in your tablet
As an indie dev myself. it pains me to see when others do that crap. If you're going to make a game, first at least complete it, secondly support it as it's something you should be proud of! And a community that's reporting bugs and stuff to you shows that people enjoy your game and you should respond in kind because that's only a good thing. Fix the bugs and make it better, then it's something they tell friends about meaning more sales and so on. There's literally no downside to supporting a game passively to improve it. I will always support my own games as I loved making them and enjoy hearing from the players of my games too. I makes me smile when they talk about what they enjoy in the games. And sure....my game uses a lot of bought assets from Unreal, buuuut, I have also added many custom assets and such and hand crafted every area with extreme care in the design. That's what makes the difference between a cheap game people just want to try making a few bucks on and a dev who genuinely does it because they enjoy making games.
EH? why did you say this game is free - if there is a way to get it for free please let me know as I really want this game but I will have to wait until next month when I get the money - unless you want to buy it for me LOL ;)

10K was in fact doable by the end of the year. Gz
Always really enjoyed watching you do sandbox with your own designs 😊
Eh, orange bedroom!? Wow, that upgraded compressor machine is really something! Another great Contractville episode!

for fixing the exterior, you have to re-plaster the exterior then redo the siding.
Never thought of that. Thx
Season 2 would be nice even with story mode
Season 2 would be good man I’m with that

Try just putting the spaces, don't put in a wall at all.
