Erin, from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont - We’re so EXCITED and HAPPY for you. Rest assured, people will come!!! You folks have done an amazing job branding your name, establishing wonderful and tasty products, you care about how your products are displayed. Heck, once you really get going, I dare to say that PEOPLE would PAY to have your meats shipped to them!! I travel more than 10-minutes to a Saturday Farmers Market. I rush home from milking a herd of cows, shower, hop in my car, listen to some great music, all the while thinking about all the delicious food I’m going to purchase, bring home, cook and enjoy with my family. Can’t wait to like your farm store on Facebook as well. Everything will be alright, don’t you worry, just simply enjoy this next venture with family, friends and your customers. 👍💕🥒🌶🥦🥕

Erin, Congratulations! I hope things go well with your store! You are a very hard-working young lady! That's what America is all about! We all need something of our own that we can do. I sew, and as of about 6 years ago I make quilts! I'm 73 years old, but I love your channel!

Have you ever thought of becoming a 'Harvest Host'? It is for RV's who would like to spend a night at your location. They is not a charge, but they are great buyers of your products and produce. You are such a great family and very open to new adventures. It is so nice to see Mike supporting you. Good luck!

Best of luck to ERIN. I thought you were going to cry about your announcement. You are not taking away from the farmers market but extending options during the week and spending valuable time that can never be lived again with your children. I understand your apprehension that you are undercutting the farmers market but you are not. You are just providing a different service by being open the days the market isn't. This decision has to be a stress reliever. Having all of your produce and meat on site cuts down on prep time and transportation cost. Plus it took Mike away for a couple of days of taking care of the ranch. This being Good Friday I believe this is what our Father would praise. Not as self serving but as looking out for the community in you own way. God Bless your family!

Congratulations! You will be pleasantly surprised. 10min from town, name recognition established, quality known, buy fresh 4d/week instead of one. I love fresh local source products and Farmers Market but only on Saturday is a bummer. Don't sweat leaving your friends at the market. They may wish to join you and provide additional product for your store. It could become a community coop sort of deal. You've made a great decision for the family. The kids will get so much valuable experience right there at their front door. Priceless!

This is by far one of the great announcements you could ever make. The video was awesome, kinda emotional to be honest. Good luck with your new endeavor, you can do this and life of your family will me much better being on the Ranch. OWL doesn’t disappoint. Good luck, Dennis and Kelsey ❤️

Sound concept, plan and so far, execution. I hope that as a part of those plans, will include a covered patio area in front of the store so you can exhibit more goods and or provide a sitting area for travelers that come to the store or ranch. Part of the garden could easily grow flowers for dressing up the store area and also provide additional income from the sale of potted and basket of flowers. On the inside walls, you could also consider local artists paintings and or American Indian crafts. One last idea worth your consideration, would be to invest in a refreshed old-time water chilled soda (top load) machine for thirsty shoppers and travelers.

Speaking to you as the mom of 3 wonderful young children as you are, Erin, you got this!! Somehow during your transition from a weekend sales operation into more of a Homestead Producer, there must be a way to do up some of your famous carrot cake and frosting combo to Celebrate this great adventure you are opening into. And I also believe with Mike there beside you, very soon the presence of nervousness and doubt in your voice this evening will be replaced with the calm confidence that has brought you both and your family to this point in time! Hope you all have a wonderful Good Friday evening and a most enjoyable Easter Sunday / calving day! -Bob...

Mother of God WHO AND WHY THE THUMB DOWN!! Reveal yourself NOW!! Otherwise, can't say that the announcement surprises me........sounds like an obvious next move for you, Erin. Can't wait to see what your market, both inside and out, actually looks like. I think your 4 days/week is very smart on a number of levels. Two questions; you mentioned your decision to leave your 'job in town.' I'm curious as to what you were doing for work, and silly as it sounds..........you also mentioned watering and sprinklers for your 8,000 sq ft........is this well water? Wyoming being rather arid relative to irrigation and farming....... Very much looking forward to your videos getting this venture up and running........"build it and they will come....."

  • @larryparish5984

Erin, you can still put up your tent at the end of the shed for your customers. Only now, you can leave it up instead of having to take it down all the time. It will give you more room to display your produce & free up space inside the shed for freezers, your baked goods & your scale & cash register. Maybe you could get Mike to finish the interior with pallet wood to give it a rustic look (and pallets are free at a lot of places). Just some suggestions, I'm glad the one I gave Mike about loading the pigs worked out. If you had enough traffic on your road you could really expand that operation. Might have to get more bacon seeds 🐖 next year if this venture works out for you 😂😂😂. You could also sell plant starts. Ok, I'll shut up now. Hope everything goes well. See you on the next video.

I thought it was going to be opening a Bed & Breakfast out of the house you were renovating. Maybe that's already in operation. I think the Farm Store is going to be a lot of work, too, but you won't have to cart the stuff in and out, and set up a tent. We took a building like you put down and finished the inside. Congrats on your new Venture. I could see a big Patio outside that building with some permanent tables set for your new customers. Roadside business has been big in all parts of the country. Then think shipping for your customers far and wide!

I wasn't sure how far out of town you were , but I had thought about how cool it would be if you had a road side store. I have heard truck's in the back ground going by. Best of luck Erin and Mike . I'm betting you'll do fine.
