I grew up in Washington pa and would ride my dirt bike to West Virginia .We grew up on pepperoni balls. Now in Florida waiting on a hurricane to hit.! But if I seen the pepperoni balls Angles coming I would feel much better. .Great video..
From Moundsville WV. Folks that are looking for some amazing pepperoni rolls. Check out Dragon Mart in Cameron WV. They are amazing, and they have a warm, delicious cheddar cheese sauce you can add on top. I've never found anyone that makes them the same. So if you are around that area... you definitely would not be disappointed. I moved to NC 17 years ago and have been searching for recipes bc they are not down here. People here don't even know what they are. Thank you, and I'll be trying this recipe for sure.
I live in SW PA, and we also have pepperoni rolls here, though I'm only about an hour from Morgantown, and 1.5 hours from Wheeling. I've never made them, though, so thanks for sharing your recipe and techniques! I also wanted to say you have a nice looking kitchen. It reminds me of my childhood. It looks comfortable and efficient.
Kristi- I just finished making the dough, I’m in the thick of it now. Hoping my family loves these, they look delicious. Question- how to these keep? In the fridge, on the counter, freezer? Have you tried adding cheese? I’m considering adding cheese to some for a test.
lincoln069069 they are fine left on counter. I have added cheese many times. I always individually wrap them in plastic wrap and then put them in a large ziplock bag. I have kept them in the fridge if longer than a couple of days and they also freeze great. So glad your trying them!
Have you ever used sweet potatoes instead of regular for this? Most of the pepperoni roll dough recipes I've seen were of a sweeter dough but I like this one and I plan on trying it. Your dough recipe looks very interesting.
Do you know anyone from Wyoming county? I went to Oceana high school from 2000-2002 & Westside high school from 2002-2004. I was one of the first to attend the new school the day it opened! I was wondering if u can get ahold of their specific pepperoni roll recipe they used at that time. Haven't had a pepperoni roll since 2004. I'd really like to have their recipe my first time eating one to take me back. Nostalgia! They were so good and I miss them. I'll try this recipe as well. I heard the rolls they have now come in a package and are different. I want the original recipe from my school days if there's a way to get it. Ty for reading!!
the minute I heard the first two words out of your mouth, I knew I had a fellow mountaineer! I am so excited!!!!!
Yes mam! I’m proud to be a West Virginian!

terrabus1 no I have never tried sweet potatoes but good idea. The dough is slightly sweet from the added sugar. Hope you do give them a try! 😊
I’m from beaver county PA. I’ve never seen pepperoni rolls like this before. They’re always rolled up. These look a lot easier to make.
