Make three out of one!
The specialists from Stehr - now very well known for their simple but effective machines for roads and civil engineering - were presented with a problem and quickly came up with a solution.
This consists in the fact that a simple device can be attached to the well-known standing plate compactors, which exist in thousands and are an attachment for excavators from 3.5 - 25 tons, in a matter of minutes, which is used to drive wooden, metal piles or sheet piles in rocky soils without vibration to hit the ground.
For this purpose, an additional device is attached to the plate compactor in order to create holes in rocky soils in advance with a hardened pile at the top in order to expand them.
The driven pile is then pulled out of the ground and pivoted through 90 degrees so that a setting device - consisting of a guide tube - stands vertically downwards.
The pile made of various materials is then inserted into this in order to drive it vertically down into the ground into the previously widened hole using high-frequency vibrations.
