I assume you mean for drainage? The drainage is good, the culms stop growing because the rhizome hasn’t got enough energy as it was only split last year
They get well fed, the first culms stop because the rhizome is only recently divided and they had already started before plant was split Once they put up fresh growth, it’s fine
