As I'm a basic Anachist! There is holes in you're arguement. To fulfill any contract, without a threat of violence. One must make a contract, that fullfill's payment, food, shelter, and entertainment. Nobody will freely build a railroad, during harvest. Anarcho communism is still to single minded to understand this. Two countries that despise each other, will still work together for economic reasons. There is no better description of this. Than no other as the EU. And even the united state's. I live in Kansas! We actually don't like Oklahoma. I must also must disclose. I was born in Oklahoma. There has been times in the history of Kansas. That Oklahoma politics & Kansas politics did not see eye too eye. But that did not stop trade between states. And anarchism was not involved. But money and profit was. But not for the general citizens of both states. The eastern parts of Kansas & Oklahoma. Tend to crap all over their western counter parts. And you wonder why I am lagging on, about the fear and loathing of two insignificant states. It is this. Under anarcho communism. Somebody is still going to get shit upon. And I promise. Russians would've starved to just as much a degree, under anarcho communism. As under state ran communism. Just so they could build the "bomb!

The origin of the word indicates that Anarchism means without rulers, leftists have tried to change its meaning for long but, anybody with a brain can understand that it doesnt mean without hierarchies/unjust hierarchies. There is nothing in the word that indicates an origin of hierarrchy.... So if it's without ruler(s) . It is Anarchism no matter how you feel about it, but wether it is or isn't doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the question of it being ethical/right. Not some silly childish dispute over a word that consists of 2 quite easily translated words, an + archy.

While Anarchism in general is intriguing, the part that no one has been able to sufficiently explain to me is how to both start and maintain it in the face of nation states.

I don't personally know of a definitive method to enact anarchism, but historically most successful anarchist movements have come about in periods of extreme political disorganization (Maknovia in Russia, Anarcho-Syndicalists during the Spanish Civil War, Rojava in Syria) . Outside of these circumstances, most anarchist groups seek to establish anarchism by increasing its popularity and building up mutual aid in preparation for a revolution, when anarchists outnumber and overpower the state. Personally, I think such a revolution is pretty far off goal for developed countries, but that could change.
And in terms of preventing foreign states from simply invading and occupying a country after it has been overthrown by anarchists, ideally a voluntary militia/military would be formed for defense and the support of anarchist revolutions abroad. Anarchism is a far off goal, but a good thing to work towards.

Not exactly, the soviet union never achieved communism but had socialism, they weren't a dictatorship and they had parliamentary elections for the Supreme soviet, Bukunin wanted swift communism to become achieved but never considered foreign intervention. Thus the state had to exist to repel fascism.
In regards to the European railways I do find it kinda adorable that he ignores that indeed the state played a central role in the organisation of railways both back then and now. Regulating things like rail gauge, timetables, timezones, train cars etc.

In fact the state decided in the first place if the railway network would be a free for all for train companies or state controled. You can't just buy kilometers of land like that lol.
In France the state was one of the earliest to oversee every creation of new railways and now only one company, the SNCF, which is 51% owned by the state, owns and maintains everything. We had ministries of railways in the past in order to cover the whole country in public transports and now that it's been done the responsability was issued to other ministries. It was decided very early by the state that the network would be centralized around Paris, the central power of the state.

Not really, the problem with ideologies is that they are susceptible to go against an objective reality and how things actually work. Fundamental contradictions that are always ignored (generally due to the political and economic interests of ideologues themselves), for example in this video they point out that _mutual agreement in opposition to the power and force of the state_ is anarchists' ultimate goal, this IS true; However, what happens if by *mutual agreement* people decide to create a state or voluntarily submit to a body of power? (Which happened historically (and which in fact has its bases in our phylogenetic and evolutionary characteristics that drive us to organize in hierarchical structures, a reality we can hardly fight against)). This is because "agreement" and "force" are a false dichotomy, people on their own free will can seek to obtain power or submit to power, _"Sure, being responsible for my own life without having to submit to the will of another person or institution sounds great, but getting checks from the state while I'm unemployed sounds great too!!!1"," Sure, I love having the freedom to do whatever I want but I hate that the guy who lives up front does whatever he wants, hopefully there is SOMEONE with the POWER to prevent X from doing Y"._
In this sense, overthinking ideologies is a complete waste of time. Especially all collectivist ideologies, the objective reality is that all human beings (all living things in actuality) exist individually, they all have their particular interests (or gene-coded insticts) and in one way or another prioritize them.
It is much more useful to try to understand the objective reality in which we live in and to find a way to work coherently within this reality, since there's little or nothing we can do to change it.
Modern politics is just business. There is no ideology.

If you ever make a video about Makhnovia, here's a fun fact you might have not known: the Estonian Red Riflemen from the Estonian civil war were encircled by the black army when they attacked the free territory's capital who later on surrendered, about 10 000 estonian and latvian soldiers were disarmed but Makhno saw them as proletarian brothers and gave them 2 options:
-To go home
-To join the black army and continue the workers' anti-bolshevik anti-state revolution.
throughout the entire train analogy, it simply sounded like an argument for free market liberalism.
There is actually an overlap between proponents of the free market and anarchists. Though Kropotkin claimed that all was for all, he did think that there would be exchanges between communities.
There are also mutualists and anarcho-capitalists who believe in free trade.
(I should note that most other anarchists don't think anarcho-capitalism is anarchism, as they think it would result in states through property)

I literally just did a report in my English class about the history of anarchism, and I had actually talked a lot about Bakunin. Great video all around!

If you are to disprove an anarchist and their theories, you must first understand that theory yourself after all. If not, you’ll just end up sounding like a complete idiot.
I feel like the ancap video does a lot better job of explaining what anarcho-capitalists believe than this one, because it explains the anarchist argument for why private companies should substitute government. Thus, I will attempt to remedy this by the following comment:
Anarcho-communism is a very similar ideology, but it just uses a different set of property norms and slightly different assumptions about human behavior. Ancapism uses lockean property, where you own a piece of land (in theory) forever if you 'mix your labour with the land', until you sell it. Anarcho-communism sees two types of property: personal property, such as your house and clothes, which you own via using it yourself; and private property, which is property that you own but have someone else work. For example, your apartment is your personal property, but it is the private property of the landlord. Ancoms view the latter as exploitative and illegitimate. They believe that all all production should be managed by the workers themselves. So, a factory, being worked upon by a number of workers, would be those workers' property and managed by the workers voting on decisions. Some anarchists even advocate for consensus decision making, which was practiced by ancient tribes.
Ancoms also believe that money wouldn't exist. In an anarcho-communist society, you would be able to go into your town's shop, get whatever you wanted, and leave without having to pay for anything. Ancoms think that many of the jobs we do now contribute nothing to society and that people who did work that actually mattered would still do their jobs if they could manage them themselves. Ancoms thus think that crimes would almost never happen. Why would you steal if you could get whatever you needed for less trouble? If someone committed a crime, it's likely that he would ostracised by his community, who may even refuse to give him any food. There's also the fact that people would be well armed in an ancom society, so would likely be able to defend their property.
There's also a concept in ancomism called mutual aid, which is that idea that rational self interest will cause humans to naturally cooperate for a greater good. For instance, if no one cleaned the sewers, the sewers would get clogged. Thus, it's in the rational self interest of all people in the community for someone to clean the sewers. The sewer-cleaners would also be highly valued by their peers, who may shower them with luxury gifts or build them houses in the nicest parts of town. The community would want to treat the sewer-cleaners well because if they didn't, those cleaners might just go somewhere where their services are more valuable. It is for similar reasons that neighborhood watches and defence groups would also likely form. The anarchist territory in the Russian civil war, called the free territory, had a large army of cossacks, infantry, machine guns, and even an armoured train, all without using conscription.
On the subject of defence, ancaps and ancoms have very similar ideas. Those who were part of a inter-community defence force would be highly valued by communities, and would thus be given access to many luxury items and would do their best to please the community. Overall, an ancomist society would be an intersting one, one where humble soldiers and garbagemen would live in luxurious homes and dine on the finest foods in the land.
You can see that this is a very similar line of thinking to ancaps' ideas about self-interest leading to a more stable society. Ancoms just extend this notion towards the health of the broader community.
My main critique of anarcho-communism is that mutual aid is nice and all, but there has to be a sense of community in the first place. Different ethnic groups may have a rational incentive to cooperate, but people aren't always rational.
I'd also like to mention that there is another school of anarchism called anarcho-mutualism. Anmuts agree with ancoms that private property shouldn't exist and that workers should own their workplaces, but they still think that money and free markets are the best way to provide services. Anmuts think that capitalism and free markets are two different things. According to mutualists like Benjamin Tucker, private property only exists due to state intervention in the free market and that all all private property in today's world comes from a history of theft and exploitation. Mutualists think that the insurance companies of ancapism would exist, but would be mutually owned. Such mutual insurance actually existed among workers, but the government invented wellfare so that workers would become dependent on the state and not revolt against capitalism.

I have to ask though, how would an ancom community treat outsiders?
Let's say in a fantasy setting, an ancom community gets a visit from a person that lived under a society that has some form of capitalism. He wants some food and would like to buy from the ancom. Would he go to a co-op, and just get the food from there? Will the ancom people allow an outsider to get food designated for 'their' people? Or maybe the ancom people keep foreign currency for this sort of situations, and just use this currency to get resources outside of the community for the community?
All this thinking makes the creative juices flow.
@@Anzei_Kazumias an ancom, the way I see it, we would give some food to that person just for kindness. But there's another option, to have that person help with some work, and then give them the food. Of course, there's the option to not give them anything, but ancom is a very kind and idealistic ideology, so I doubt the person would just be ignored.
To be blunt this ideology sounds totally unrealistic. Mutual aid is a very utopian assumption which little basis in our world. And someone who is able to just go into a shop and get whatever they want would quickly lead to people abusing such a system.
The example with the sewer workers is a return to supply and demand since being showered with gifts to do shitty work is the same in practice as having a higher salary. Just a tribal, non-monetary version of it.

Getting 100 people to agree on something is difficult. Getting 1 million is impossible.
Although I think your statement is partially correct it is a bit misleading since the entire idea of representative democracy or direct democracy is that millions of people can come together and agree on one thing. Although there will be people who will disagree with the majority decision there is still the expectation that they will acquiesce regardless of their own personal choice in favor to keep the peace of their respective democracies.
What would have been a more accurate line would be "Getting 1 million people to agree on one thing is difficult. Getting 1 million people agree on one million other things is impossible." And to me that really is the failing of any form of Anarchic utopia is that it assumes that people have the time energy and brain power to constantly be ratifying agreements with everyone about everything.
It's good for one big project but to allow your entire life be governed by making contracts whenever you need something from someone else is extremely exhausting. That's the whole reason why we allow representative democracies because we just don't have the time, energy and know how to plan for everything. I mean I barely have the energy to manage myself let alone an entire society.

Nothing stops workers from buying stocks in the companies they work for, and companies like Tesla and wawa actually give their workers stocks as part of their pay.
medieval Guilds were run pretty effectively by their workers. So capitalism isn't nessarily inconflict here which is why The AnarchoCapitalist exists.

Free thought is a misnomer. We are radically biased by our own experiences and environments. Truly free thought would require omniscience. In response, you might think, "So what? I'll take our thought as free as it can get!" But we're also scarce on time, energy, and resources. Someone else's free thought may render them virtually impenetrable to outside influence, and a no-compromises obstacle to whatever you happen to think progress looks like. Do you debate about it forever, or tie them up and ask for forgiveness later? Life is no utopia, and it never will be. That doesn't mean we can't use what little power we have individually to organize for what we believe is right; it just means that no one will ever know if they're actually the big bad evil guy-whether they are throwing fists or preaching on a soapbox. Everything has a price: the opportunity cost. Are you evil?
I love this channel because it talks about all things i am too lazy to ever read. in a way i can comprehend. I never was able to properly medicate my ADHD. And things like this help. There is people who understand ADHD is as being uncapable of paying attention. But is actually the stress of trying to. People with ADHD produce less dopamine and because of that need to have something dragging their interest to keep focused. I never was able to read as much as i wanted and these videos are so well done that they fill in quite well for me
The thing that always comes into my mind when hearing this kind of stuff is "Wow, this sounds really nice but wait, how would this work in the real world? A world where there are still national governments, still armies, and still people who would see to fill a power vacuum?" Kind of wish you went over that and why State-communism won out over stateless.

well that's a debate currently happening in leftist circles. Leftists are divided into hundreds of different groups all in agreement that capitalism will or should one day collapse but constantly arguing over how and what should replace it. Anarchists usually believe that wealth inequality and corporate power will continue to grow unchallenged. That issues like climate change and healthcare will only get worse and more numerous as capitalists abuse our democracy in the pursuit of the profit motive and that a revolution will come as response to the failures of liberalism. Not necessarily an anarchist revolution, not even necessarily a socialist revolution since fascism also spreads when liberalism fails. Anarchist believe that its in this revolution that they can seize power and dismantle oppressive systems. Since anarchism as an ideology is built around dismantling liberal systems of power it's impossible for it to be achieved through liberalism. It's impossible to vote for anarchy in a state, meaning that revolution is the only way for anarchism.
Authoritarianism is just easier, there are more authoritarian capitalist countries than liberal capitalist countries after all
But State Communism has not won, it failed miserably exaclty like Bakunin predicted, if anything it proved the Anarchists right. Also State Communists literally sabotaged any other attempt at Communism, not only Anarchists in Ukraine, Korea and Spain but also Tito in Yugoslavia. Stabbing people in the back does not prove your ideology works better.

Almost. It's still has mods with highest authority on which changes should be rejected or accepted, who frequently abuse their power to favour their ideological biases. I would like to state that unlike what the video states, your house is considered personal property, not private property. The general distinction is that personal property are things that only really affect you and your household, rather than being something used by the general community, like a library or a factory.
Can you ever do a video about Georgism, it's one of the best ideologies I've read about, and it can be used by nearly everyone on the political spectrum, excepting anarchists and maybe those who wish to abolish free property.

This shows one of those good "What if's" of history. The what if anarcho communism won out in Russia compared to Marx's Communist statism. I feel like Russia would've charted a very different course of history if it followed the Anarcho-Communist model instead of Russian interpretation of Marx's ideals.
A pretty big what if too because maybe the WW2 ally victory would be less gruesome or, possibly, never happen in the first place.
It could've, though Lenin kinda purged all the Anarchists, syndicalists, Trade unionists and other leftists who weren't loyal to the Bolsheviks then proceeded to enforce Vanguardism (The idea that a communist party should lead the workers revolution) upon other communist parties and groups through things like the Comintern.
It is also important to note that even Marx would not have agreed with Lenin about Vanguardism as Marx did not believe a singular political party should lead the workers revolution but that workers should use any means to gain control over the state and that the state should fundamentally be under the whim of the working class although I personally do not know how Marx would've preferred a workers state to be managed but it is likely he believed it would be a combination of unions, political parties and other worker lead organisation's that would co-operate together in order to try (eventually) to dissolve the state.

I want to point out that it won't be different really. The first few years of communism in Russia had all sorts of socialistic, even modern-day-like left political forces and agenda. Also, countries like Poland and Finland got liberty. But europeans took monarchist side in Russian civil war while Russian former parts start attacking it because of some territorial claims, while monarchist was a problem on its own. So, in the end, people like Stalin got enough political weight to get in charge. In the alternative timeline where narchism won there will be Anarchostalin and that will be it.
If you ask me the biggest problem with anarchism is that the state didn't just appear one day. States came about naturally as simply existing makes something natural.
So IF you did destroy all states, and it did make people better off how then do you prevent state from forming without some sort of central control to prevent the conditions that could allow for a state to emerge. And if you do establish said central control then that control is a state by definition.

No, the biggest problem of anarchism is that it absolutely fails to account for differences in human ability, intelligence, drive, ruthlessness, MURDEROUSNESS, etc, and how these things have always shaped societies. Anarchists either quietly omit these things or deliberately and actively deny them outright, which is ludicrous and obviously counter productive in that the root problem is never solved. Anarchists dont ignore this. We know that any sufficiently wealthy/powerful centralized group or individual can become the foundation for a state. The goal of anarchism is to achieve a system of balances that leaves power and wealth too decentralized in the hands of the people for any 1 organization to rise to the top. Essentially, if a state starts to creep up, it could not expand, its victims could fight against it and most importantly, it would be in everyone's material interest to make sure it is defeated. States exists because they bribe everyone, from the lowest to the top with whatever is needed to shut them up and justify their existance. Anarchism has to do that too.
Which is btw, why anarcho communism makes WWAAAAAYYYY more sense than anarcho capitalism, because in anarcho capitalism, all you would need is a single company to turn into a monopoly for a state to be born, but in anarcho communism those monopolies already exist and are democratic, so they benefit and are controlled by everyone. Anyone who would want to make a state would have to convince people to be their employees, to lose priveleges and rights for the benefit of the owners. A hard sell.
I remember reading some book about communism and being absolutely dumbfounded by bakunin. That book portrayed him (maybe accurately) as a sometimes downright insane man, and after reading that book I came to the conclusion that Bernstein is the only person from that whole group that I might even be slightly able to reason with. Anyways, I think it now makes much more sense since that book was written by a communist, and it's fascinating how he sometimes even portrayed capitalists better than anarchists. I think this video did a much more convincing job portraying his opinions - and while I still obviously think anarcho-communism in an insanely horrible idea, I have a better idea of it thanks to this video.

State communism, as in Soviet Russia, isn't really any form of communism. It's socialist, the control of production in the hands of the government. The end goal was actually anarchist, but Marx thought that a phase of socialism was needed to get there.

Your videos are interesting but this is something I do not agree with. The Railways? Who do you think paid these "random contractors" for the railways? Who put trains on them, operated them and is now maintaining them. And even if there were some like minded anarchist railway people. Not only would they have to come to a consesus among themselves and then the other companies. They would also need to get on board people who make food, iron, wood, someone who would make fatories for trains, probabbly new schools for all these jobs, accomodations, workers who would build the schools/accomodation. And it just snowballs from here and these snowballs can only be managed by large entities that tell/incentivise people to do these jobs. I don't see this as a real argument on "it worked before"
Not to mention that the actual work and operations are payed for with money.
Not to mention that all those contracts are enforced by the state.

@@tugalord Id say thats pretty accurate but there is still a philosophy behind the movement. What makes it distinct from ideology is that thoughts and opinions dont affect what policies the state will enact fir the most part, but counter-economics does have an effect on how state economize.

What stops a murderer from getting insurance against reprisal? An insurance company would protect it's customers, but any company with a slightly differing policy would be a threat.
The only result is companies forming monopolies or oligopolies, they would form states.

Hmm, I find the dam and railway argument unconvincing. These railways were built not by the people, but by subnational entities with centralised leadership, even if independent of each other. Consequently, people are sometimes just too dumb to see any benefit in constructing something live saving for vain causes, just look at the NIMBY movement, in this comparison they'd take up a hammer to smash the dam even if the ground was flowing from under them.
No, the construction may have been organized by these entities. But the people built these railroads. And would you not want the satisfaction of knowing that the benefits of building your railroad is going to the benefit of your community rather than those who seek to profit off of your hard work? Even if you don't, we could build a society that instills values of cooperation & compassion while shunning (not necessarily forcing) those who act anti-social in said society. We are a social species. We benefit from being a social species. And it's not like experts just go away once the state & corporations are dismantled. We are not anti-authority. We ARE anti-coercive authority. In the matter of dam construction, we refer to the dam engineers. But while we can refer to his input and see to it that support for a dam is built, we do not consent to them placing their authority above us simply because they have more expertise. I understand what you are saying about how hard it is to represent the interests of large masses of people. But that is where decentralization comes into play. We encourage larger federations, but only to the extent that we can benefit from providing mutual aid to members of these larger federations. By keeping the power local and decentralized, I say that democracy becomes more manageable in these communities.
The problem with An-com theory is that I haven't seen a replacement for the price system which made the railroad system so highly praised possible.

@@ahren7741 I don't understand. The price system is made by thousands if not millions of people declaring that X is worth $ and only when both parties agree does exchange happen. By definition it is democratic and voluntary.
Besides, that doesn't answer my question. What system will replace the price system in determine what work and products are worthy contributions to society? We can agree that man working in the wheat fields is work while a man working to make a pile of mud for no reason is not working. As an Anarcho-capitalist I fully endorse Anarcho-comunism. To me the enemy is the State and not a self-determinated communist comunity which should be protected by anarcho-capitalists, because we believe that people should live the way they want and we shouldn't question their economic/religious/sexual practices. Just like some of us prefer live in cities or in farms, different systems are made so we can choose what is best for us. The one that destroy our choices is the goverment.

@@Jhanzey Maybe they can drive to a capitalist city and buy a BigMac then later go back to their communist city where they can let people use the same car for other things. I think coexistence is the only solution for humanity and freedom of choice is really what makes the world worth living for. If you desire a capitalist product you should have it or better healthcare and job avaiability/housing well, live in the communist city. Both systems have pros and cons, what we should have is balance which again, is crushed by the state that endorses oligarchs and corrupt state officials and very often kill people for their own desire of greatness. The principle of no-agression is and always be the favourable term to coexistence and prosperity for both sides, so in one day we may join arms as brothers against our opressors.

I believe my one issue is that organization of anarcho-communism never seems to prevail to be able to form a region of some sort solid territory. Call it what you will but I’m reluctant to believe that it could survive in a period with states still heavily present, especially looking at the American reaction to any sort of communist movement. Essentially what I’m trying to say is anarchism sounds like a wonderful piece of ideology but without solid proof that it could survive a revolution I’m reluctant to put any sort of support behind it like I would like to. If anyone would like to provide an argument or source, please do, I’d like to be wrong on this one.

And well, gridlock it is, never seems to be a problem in practice though, because when such intentional societies existed they somehow managed to get along well enough.

The state is totalitarian always and everywhere. For man to find a way from the totalitarian state to no state is probably impossible. Our ancestors were not stupid, they would have done it.
And they did do it. In Ukraine and in Spain, but they were defeated. Today a small part of the world is controlled by liberterian-socialist movements (Rojava in Syria,EZLN Chiapas in Mexico).
Iberia, Ireland and thr Former Soviets Republics+Finland all have a different gauage than the standard European gauge, you cannot go from Madrid to St. Petersburg on one train. You will have to swap trains when you get to a new guage unless that train can change its gauge.

Hello I'm an anarcho-communist here. You're clearly not a part of our movement (or you're new to it) and it shows in some of the mistakes you made in your video. However It would seam that you did some homework. For this I applaud you. The passage about the railways in the Conquest of bread was my favorite passage in that book and I am glad that you read the whole passage instead of taking it out of context. Now I shall correct your mistakes. The main one is less about what you said so much as what you implied. I got the feeling that you believe anarcho-capitalism and anarcho-communism to be two sides of the same coin. This is a common misunderstanding amongst the right. Let me put it simply. If I met a Marxist-Lenninist in a bar I could see myself buying them a beer. If I met an anarcho-capitalist I would sooner find another bar. I would not piss on an anarcho-capitalist if they were on fire. We are not a part of the same movement and we do not want the same thing. As for our relationship to Marxists our differences basically boils down to the fact that we want the same thing but have two radically different ways of getting there. The abolition of class society is CENTRAL to anarchist values. I would like to note that I said ANARCHIST values and not anarcho-communist values. This is because since the first Anarchist Pierre Josef Proudhon the anarchist movement has always been anti-capitalist. Some random free market capitalist that has no ties to the anarchist movement decided to call himself an libertarian (which originally referred to social anarchists) and now rando crypto-heads believe him. The name of this Lunatic is Maury Rothbard and anyone who believes in his ideas cannot call themselves an anarchist. And as for Marx considering us his greatest enemy, this is false. Bakunin and people like him were all a part of the first international with Marx (there were likely no capitalists present as it was a socialist gathering). There were certainly some animosities between Marx and Bakunin they both wrote negatively about each others ideas. Furthermore Marx got Bakunin kicked out of the IWA. However for both Marx and for Bakunin their principal enemies were the capitalists, the monarchs, and the Liberal Republics (also religion but us leftists tend not to make a big stink about religion anymore for various reasons). For the entire history of the anarchist movement we have always stood with the working class against the capitalist class and it is going to STAY that way. Now about our ideas about property. We have this concept called personal property. It essentially means that you have to right to own something that you can justifiably claim to be using for yourself. Similarly if you and a group of people use something in common it belongs to all those people. What that essentially means is that you have the right to own your own home. Just so long as you (plural you or singular) are the one(s) using it. It however does not mean that you get to own other peoples homes and charge them rent. This is exploitation and it is wrong. It also means that the workplace belongs to the workers. But most of us also believe that decisions should be made by the people most effected by them. As an example if a factory wants to change it's production method to one that pollutes a local river. No matter how the workers vote the locals who live around that river should have to approve, this ensures that everyone has adequate agency over their lives.

My problem with the train example is that it's one big project done by multiple companies with vast resources already available and societies don't function with just one big project at a time. As much as the agreement on how the railways where setup impressive there is always the matter of sourcing the raw materials, manufacturing the rails and train cars, the standards by which cars would be built, transportation of each individual product to their destined place for assembly, and so on and so forth.
For one thing, a single person doesn't have access to that much resources nor the capabilities to produce that much at such a scale, that's why this is only possible with corporations and companies with a centralized leadership who know how to manage those resources. For another thing, as I mentioned society isn't built on one big project at a time which means a single person would need to get consent on a whole slew of things before they can ever get one big project off the ground. They need to get an agreement as to who and where they would source material, what land they could use for the project, the specifications and standards of the thing they need to make. A person would be bogged down more by the details of what he is doing more than the thing he is doing.
And this is why I always see Anarcho-communism always going back to representative democracies just because a single person doesn't have enough time, energy or effort to actually govern while also having a different craft that contributes to the society. You can have referendums in place for big things, but just for the day to day management of your community, you'd need someone else to manage that in your behalf.

Would this even be called Communism? In the modern perspective of Communism or Socialism it requires a high level of central planning and high state power. Even if left wing the words Communism and Socialism are products of Marx and his writings in their definitions. So should this even be called Anarcho-Communism or something different?
Communism is a stateless, classless, moneyless society and Socialism is workers owning the means of production, so high central planning technically wouldn't even be Socialism, Anarcho-Communism technically is just that final stage but it doesn't do the whole "withering of the state away over time" thing and instead just does it immediately as they get into power.
